An electronic device is provided that comprises a housing, a processor and memory provided within the housing, a keyboard on the housing and a display. A camera assembly includes a camera and a camera support member having first and second ends. The camera is provided on the camera support member proximate the first end. The second end movably connected to the housing such that the camera support member may be moved from a closed state to an open state.

TOUCH SENSITIVE KEYBOARD

Disclosed are keyboards and keyboard switches sensitive to touch, including, hover and pressure. The keyboard switches have transmit and receive antennae that are spaced apart such that no portion of the transmit antenna touches any portion of the receive antenna. The keyboard switches are arranged in logical rows and logical columns such that each of the keyboard switches is associated with one row and one column. Signal emitters are conductively coupled to the transmit antennae for each of the keyboard switches associated with each of the rows, and each of the signal emitters are adapted to cause each of the transmit antennae to transmit one or more source signals. Receivers are coupled to the receive antennae for each of the keyboard switches associated with each of the columns, and each of the receivers are adapted to capture a frame of signals present on the coupled receive antennae. A signal processor adapted to determine a measurement from each frame, corresponding to an amount of the source signals present on the receive antennae during a time the corresponding frame was received. The signal processor further adapted to determine a keyboard switch touch state from a range of touch states based at least in part on the corresponding measurement.

Controller devices can provide a user with multiple modes of operation. For example, the user can hold and operate the controller device in a first orientation for control of a first device and/or first mode of a device (e.g., media player), and the user can hold and operate the controller device in a second orientation for control of a second device and/or second mode of a device (e.g., gaming device). Features can be selectively stowed and deployed to facilitate user operation in the different modes. By further example, a controller device can be separated into segments to allow multiple users to hold and provide inputs with corresponding segments.

An optical keyboard includes an upper cover plate, a bottom plate, a circuit board and plural optical keys. The circuit board is arranged between the upper cover plate and the bottom plate. The circuit board is connected with the upper cover plate that is disposed on the circuit board. The plural keys are penetrated through corresponding openings of the upper cover plate. Moreover, a bottom surface of each optical key is contacted with a top surface of the circuit board. The upper cover plate is an integral structure. Consequently, the components of the optical keyboard are simplified, and the assembling precision is enhanced.

Display scanning frequency patterns to convey data

A computing device includes signal generation circuitry and also includes a location on the computing device that is operative to couple a signal generated by the signal generation circuitry into a user. For example, the computing device includes signal generation circuitry that generates a signal that includes information corresponding to a user and/or an application that is operative within the computing device. The signal generation circuitry couples the signal into the user from a location on the computing device based on a bodily portion of the user being in contact with or within sufficient proximity to the location on the computing device that facilitates coupling of the signal into the user. Also, the signal may be coupled via the user to another computing device that includes a touchscreen display that is operative to detect and receive the signal.

A key top including: a transparent substrate that includes a ceiling part, and a side wall part; a first layer having a chromatic color with transparency that is formed on a top face of the ceiling part and an outer wall of the side wall part or a bottom face of the ceiling part and an inner wall of the side wall part; and a second layer that is a whitish color, white, silver or gold, is formed on the first layer, and shields a light from a light source, a part of the second layer corresponding to a character part being removed; wherein a contrast ratio between colors of the first and the second layers at the time of non-lighting is 3:1 or more, and a luminance of the light passing through the character part at the time of lighting is 3 cd/cm.sup.2 or more.

INTERACTING WITH TOUCH DEVICES PROXIMATE TO OTHER INPUT DEVICES
20180011548 · 2018-01-11 ·

In some embodiments, a keyboard is located proximate to a touch sensor that is operable to perform one or more keyboard functions. The state of a touch sensor and/or interaction of an electronic device with the touch sensor is controlled or altered based on detection that an object is proximate to the keyboard. In other embodiments, input to input devices that are proximate are screened. The input devices are located sufficiently proximate that a first input device falsely detects input when a user is actually providing input to a second input device. In particular examples, a location of a user or other object relative to the second input device is determined using a proximity or other sensor. Based on the location, the electronic device determines the user or other object is in position to use the second input device and screens out or filters input from the first input device.
