The embodiments described herein provide technologies and techniques for using available data (from a variety of data sources) to provide an integrated and virtual reality experience. Embodiments described herein include systems and methods for acquiring flight information, wherein the flight information includes at least one of seating information regarding layout and availability of seats from one or more data sources, providing the flight information in a virtual reality environment, receiving, from a virtual reality device, a user's movements of an avatar in the virtual reality environment, wherein the avatar represents an individual having pre-stored information, determining, in the virtual reality environment, a position of the avatar with respect to a first seat zone surrounding a first available seat, and assigning the avatar to the first available seat in response to the virtual reality computing system receiving a deliver command when the avatar is in vicinity of the first seat zone surrounding the first available seat.

Apparatus and method for performing multi-tasking in portable terminal

A multi-tasking execution apparatus and a method for easily controlling applications running in a portable terminal are provided. The apparatus includes a display and a controller. The display displays an application-containing image in which at least one specific image representing at least one application running in a background is contained and arranged. The controller operatively displays at least one specific image representing at least one application running in the background, so as to be contained in the application-containing image, and controls the at least one application running in the background by controlling the specific image based on a specific gesture.

Orchestration of crud operations for a hierarchical web service data model in a spreadsheet

Example embodiments facilitate orchestrating changes of data made (and/or actions specified for execution) in a client-side program with changes of corresponding data made in one or more server-side data objects. An example method includes structuring one or more worksheet relationships between one or more worksheets of a client-side spreadsheet in accordance with one or more data object relationships of one or more data objects of a server-side data structure; determining that one or more operations have been selected for performing on data of one or more of the worksheets; detecting user input operative to initiate performance of the one or more operations; and initiating implementation of the one or more operations (e.g., CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations) in accordance with the one or more worksheet relationships and the one or more data object relationships (e.g., hierarchical relationships). A spreadsheet add-in may issue request messages to web services tasked with completing the one or more operations.

Electronic device and control method thereof

An electronic device and method are disclosed. The electronic device includes a foldable display that is at least partially foldable, at least one processor, and at least one memory. The processor implements the method, including detecting, by at least one processor, that a foldable display of the electronic device changes from an unfolded state to a partially folded state, configuring a first region of the foldable display to accept touch inputs in the partially folded state, and configuring a second region of the foldable display to accept non-touch inputs in the partially folded state.

Systems and methods for selecting content using a multiple objective, multi-arm bandit model

An electronic device for a first session of a user, for each of a plurality of lists of media content items, determines a respective value for each objective of a first set of objectives and a second set of objectives by accessing contextual data for the first session of the user. The first set of objectives corresponds to the user and the second set of objectives corresponds to a second party distinct from the user. The electronic device, using a multi-arm bandit model, identifies a first list of media content items, from the plurality of lists of media content items, to present to the user, including: calculating a score for each list in the plurality of lists of media items; and probabilistically selecting the first list of media content items according to the respective scores corresponding to the respective lists in the plurality of lists of media items.

Adaptive recoloring

Adaptive recoloring of displayed digital content automatically pursues specified active color palette goals while adhering to specified active color palette constraints. Source code editors, word processors, and other programs are enhanced by adaptive recoloring. Recoloring rules may specify coloring roles, colors, tolerances, color spaces, metrics, and other criteria. Recoloring may be triggered by a zoom or another change in user focus, by a brightness change, a screen size change, by notice of a user perception change, or by another event. Recoloring improves text legibility, assists user focus, compensates for differences in color perception and emotional impact, and increases color availability without degrading usability, for example. Transitions between words or other display items can be heightened. Branding colors may be preserved, in logos and text. Automatic selections may be overridden by a user command or by interactive tuning, with warnings given as appropriate.

Synchronizing playback by media playback devices

Example systems, apparatus, and methods receive audio information including a plurality of frames from a source device, wherein each frame of the plurality of frames includes one or more audio samples and a time stamp indicating when to play the one or more audio samples of the respective frame. In an example, the time stamp is updated for each of the plurality of frames using a time differential value determined between clock information received from the source device and clock information associated with the device. The updated time stamp is stored for each of the plurality of frames, and the audio information is output based on the plurality of frames and associated updated time stamps. A number of samples per frame to be output is adjusted based on a comparison between the updated time stamp for the frame and a predicted time value for play back of the frame.
