An image forming apparatus includes: a print engine to perform printing; a memory that stores a plurality of print conditions set for each of a plurality of direct printing methods; and circuitry to: receive print information on printing to be performed, the print information at least indicating image data to be printed; identify a direct printing method from the print information; acquire from the memory at least one print condition corresponding to the identified direct printing method; and control the print engine to perform printing based on image data according to the acquired print condition.

A method of controlling an information processing apparatus includes displaying an edit screen including an obtained image and a print range frame based on obtained print setting information, accepting an edit operation of arrangement of the image in the edit screen, generating image data based on an edited image, and transmitting the generated image data and the print setting information to the image forming apparatus as a print job. Where the image has been edited such that there is a region where the image is not arranged in the print range frame, combining processing in which a predetermined image is added in the region is performed and whereby image data including the image and predetermined image is generated, and where the image has been edited such that there is no region where the image is not arranged in the print range frame, the combining processing is not performed.

There is provided a printing control device. A setting unit sets a sorting priority mode that causes a printing device to perform printing using a recording sheet in which the difference from the recording sheet size designated by a current print job mounted on the printing device is within a predetermined range, in a case where a recording sheet with a same size as the recording sheet designated by the current print job is not mounted on the printing device, and a recording sheet which has a recording sheet size that is printable without reducing the printing range, and for which the difference from the size of the recording sheet designated by the current print job is within a predetermined range is mounted on the printing device in a sheet feed direction different from the sheet feed direction of the recording sheet of the previous print job.

A print information processing system includes a terminal device, and a server. The terminal controller controls an image capturing device to capture an image representing at least part of a cassette and acquiring the captured image. The cassette accommodates print medium therein. A server storage stores information concerning a specific content including at least one of print data and information available for editing the print data. The system performs a detection process detecting the cassette by analyzing the captured image and a determination process determining whether the detected cassette satisfies a specific condition. The server controller performs an information transmission process transmitting the information concerning the specific content to the terminal device in a case where the determination process determines that the detected cassette satisfies the specific condition. The information transmission process is not performed in a case where the detected cassette does not satisfy the specific condition.

A server includes: a memory storing printing configuration rules for interfacing with a printing system; a communications interface configured to communicate with a client device; a processor interconnected with the memory and the communications interface, the processor configured to: generate a print system network identifier mapped to the printing system, the print system network identifier configured for identifying print parameters for print jobs; receive, via the communications interface, a print request from the client device, the print request generated based on the print system network identifier and including one or more print parameters for a print job; and send a print instruction to the printing system to initiate the print job at the printing system according to the one or more print parameters, the print instruction generated according to the printing configuration rules.

A method for providing a cloud print service includes receiving, from an external apparatus, a print job that is to be transmitted to a printing apparatus, and registering in the cloud print service at least one or more printer objects that is used to transfer the received print job to the printing apparatus, transmitting, to the second cloud print service, a registration request to register at least one of the printer objects registered in the cloud print service as a cloud printer that is used by a second cloud print service different from the provided cloud print service, and transmitting, in a case where a cloud printer corresponding to the printer object is registered as the cloud printer of the second cloud print service based on the registration request, ability information indicating that a printing apparatus corresponding to the printer object supports a pass-through mode.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to determine progress of each of two or more processes included in a workflow and display a second image that is a single image generated based on first images respectively representing the two or more processes and the determined progress.

A speech setting system includes a job execution device that is capable of executing a job, and a speech setting assistance device that assists generation of the job to be executed by the job execution device based on speech information obtained from a speech, wherein the job execution device includes a first hardware processor, the first hardware processor is configured to execute the job in accordance with a parameter set for each of a plurality of setting items, and display a setting screen in which a plurality of the parameters respectively corresponding to the plurality of setting items are arranged, the speech setting assistance device includes a second hardware processor, and the second hardware processor is configured to determine the parameter corresponding to each of the plurality of setting items based on the speech information, and output speech output information for outputting the determined parameter corresponding to each of the plurality of setting items by speech in accordance with an output order that is defined based on a relative positional relationship among the plurality of the parameters arranged in the setting screen.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program executable by a computer of a device, the program, when executed by the computer, causing the device to perform: causing a reader of the device to read a code image; determining, based on code information indicated by the code image and identification information of a consumable item of a printer stored in a first memory, whether to register the identification information of the consumable item indicated by the code information; registering the identification information in a second memory in a case where the determining determines to register the identification information; and displaying, on a display of the device, unique information of a consumable item whose identification information is registered in the second memory in a display mode different from a display mode of unique information of a consumable item whose identification information is not registered in the second memory.

A printing system includes an information processing apparatus, a mobile terminal, and a printer. The information processing apparatus is configured to transmit job identification information and address information to the mobile terminal, and transmit a printing job to the printer when receiving a transmission request for the printing job identified by the job identification information from the printer. The mobile terminal is configured to transmit the job identification information and the address information to a selected execution printer. The printer is configured to transmit a transmission request for transmitting the printing job to the information processing apparatus specified by the received address information when receiving the job identification information and the address information from the mobile terminal, and execute printing processing in response to receiving the transmission request.
