Discovering and using application deployment dependencies to augment governance and compliance policy
A compliance discovery and integration process is implemented in association with a cloud-based security and compliance platform and associated CI/CD framework. The process assumes an existing DevOps-based deployment of a product, such as an enterprise application that executes in a runtime production environment. The technique of this disclosure addresses the problem of misalignment between a compliance policy and the product's post-deployment regulation posture by providing tools and methods that enable pro-active augmentation of governance and compliance policy during the pre-deployment phase and with respect to a next deployment of the product (e.g., a next or updated version). Thus, when the product is later deployed in its next deployment, its regulation posture (post-deployment) is already consistent with the compliance policy.
DIGITAL COMPLIANCE PLATFORM
Provided is a method and system for building a compliance software service using reusable and configurable components. In one example, the method may include receiving a request to build a software in association with an identified jurisdiction from among a plurality of jurisdictions, retrieving a plurality of configurable software components which comprise built-in functionality that is generic across the plurality of jurisdictions, dynamically configuring non-generic functionality for the identified jurisdiction within the plurality of configurable software components based on inputs received from a user, and creating a software program for the identified jurisdiction based on the dynamically configured software components and storing a file including the created software program in a storage device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT INCLUDING COLUMN-BASED PROCESS EDITOR
In accordance with an embodiment, described herein are systems and methods for use with business process management (BPM) systems or environments, including software development tools for developing software applications that are associated with business processes (business process software applications, business process applications, process applications, or processes). In accordance with an embodiment, the system comprises a column-based process editor and graphical user interface, that can utilize a column-based format to model and display a process, for example a dynamic process, which can subsequently be deployed and executed within the system or environment. For example, the column-based process editor and graphical user interface can include various graphical elements to indicate configured properties of artifacts of a dynamic process. Interaction with the graphical elements enables users to review, edit, and/or remove particular properties associated with the dynamic process.
WORKFLOW DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM WITH EASE-OF-USE FEATURES
A workflow development system is described that provides a developer with a search utility for finding steps for inclusion in a workflow. The system also automatically generates a meaningful name and/or graphical representation for a workflow. The system also provides a graphical user interface that represents output parameters of a first workflow step as user-interactive objects. These objects can be interacted with to cause the objects to be inserted into a data entry element that is used to specify a value for an input parameter of a second workflow step. When executable logic representing the first and second workflow steps is generated, the insertion of the objects into the data entry element has the effect of causing the value of the input parameter of the second workflow step to be defined to include the values of the output parameters that correspond to the inserted objects.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR WORKFLOW APPLICATION PROGRAMMING INTERFACES (APIS)
A computing system includes a server. The server is communicatively coupled to a data repository and is configured to store a data in the data repository. The server is further configured to create, via a visual information flow creation tool, at least one information flow object, wherein the at least one information flow object comprises a flow, a sub-flow, an Action, or a combination thereof. The server is also configured to interface with the at least one information flow object via a front-end application programming interface (API), a back-end API, or a combination thereof. The server is additionally configured to execute the at least one information flow object via the front-end API, the back-end API, or a combination thereof, and to retrieve results obtained by executing the at least one information flow object via the front-end API, the back-end API, or the combination thereof.
System and method for software development based on procedures
A method of developing software including a plurality of actors executable in parallel includes obtaining first input data including information regarding a plurality of procedures defining a series of messages between a first actor and at least one second actor from among the plurality of actors, obtaining second input data including information regarding relationships between the plurality of procedures, generating control data by interpreting the first and second input data, and controlling the plurality of procedures by processing the series of messages using the control data.

CUSTOMIZING OPERATOR NODES FOR GRAPHICAL REPRESENTATIONS OF DATA PROCESSING PIPELINES
A method may include receiving, from a client, a request to customize an operator node corresponding to a data processing operation. The request may include a first key. The operator node may be selected for inclusion in a graph representative of a data processing pipeline. The operator node may be associated with a first file that includes at least one configuration parameter associated with the operator node. The at least one configuration parameter may be associated with a second key. In response to the first key being determined to match the second key, the operator node may be customized by modifying the at least one configuration parameter. Furthermore, a second file associated with a customized operator node may be generated to store the customizations made to the operator node including the modification of the at least one configuration parameter. Related systems and articles of manufacture are also provided.

The server is also configured to interface with the at least one information flow object via a front-end application programing interface (API), a back-end API, or a combination thereof. The server is additionally configured to execute the at least one information flow object via the front-end API, the back-end API, or a combination thereof, and to retrieve results obtained by executing the at least one information flow object via the front-end API, the back-end API, or the combination thereof.
COLLABORATIVE INDUSTRIAL INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT AND EXECUTION ENVIRONMENT
A method for providing access to a development and execution (D&E) platform for development of industrial software, including providing while the D&E platform is being accessed a GUI with a development tool having process flow and code editors and an execution tool and arranging two or more programming blocks of a process flow responsive to input from an author when the process flow editor is accessed. The two or more programming blocks, when arranged, are configured to be executed. The method further includes editing source code of the two or more programming blocks responsive to input from the author when the code editor is accessed, compiling at least one of the two or more programming blocks responsive to input from the author when the execution tool is accessed, and executing the compiled at least one programming block responsive to input from the author when the execution tool is accessed.
