Dynamic arrays and overlays with bounds policies
Systems and methods are provided for writing code to access data arrays. One aspect provides a method of accessing a memory array. Data is provided within a one-dimensional array of allocated memory. A dimensional dynamic overlay is declared from within a block of statements, and the declaration initializes various attributes within an array attribute storage object. The data is accessed from within the block of statements as a dimensional indexed array using the array attribute storage object. Another aspect provides a method of creating and accessing a dimensional dynamic array. A dimensional dynamic array is declared from within a block of statements, and memory storage for the array is dynamically allocated. A dynamic overlay storage object is also provided and its attributes are initialized from the dynamic array declaration. The data is accessed as a dimensional indexed array from within the block of statements using the array attribute storage object.
Assisting users with efficient information sharing among social connections
In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a sharing request to share content generated during a current dialog session from a client system associated with a first user, identifying one or more content objects associated with the sharing request based on a natural-language understanding module, wherein the one or more content objects were previously generated during the current dialog session, determining one or more second users the sharing request is directed to based on a user profile associated with first user, and sending instructions for accessing one or more of the identified content objects to one or more client systems associated with the one or more second users.
Domain specific language design
A computing system includes a processor; and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor. The processor is configured to: receive from a user, a number of annotations for at least one of a set of statements within a problem domain, the annotations identifying a set of elements within the statement; form a set of grammar rules for the problem domain based on the annotations; and parse the set of statements using the set of grammar rules.
High-level programming language which utilizes virtual memory
Systems and methods for utilizing virtual memory with a high-level programming language are provided. Multiple address spaces are created in virtual memory, wherein each of the multiple address spaces include data entries, each of which have a value. A machine executable software program is operated which utilizes each of said multiple address spaces. At least a first one of the address spaces is independent from at least a second one of said address spaces, and at least a third one of the address spaces is electronically associated with at least a fourth one of the address spaces.
Building pre-trained contextual embeddings for programming languages using specialized vocabulary
A method, a computer system, and a computer program product for building pre-trained contextual embeddings is provided. Embodiments of the present invention may include collecting programming code. Embodiments of the present invention may include loading and preparing the programming code using a specialized programming language keywords-based vocabulary. Embodiments of the present invention may include creating contextual embeddings for the programming code. Embodiments of the present invention may include storing the contextual embeddings.
Generating computationally-efficient representations of large datasets
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for processing large datasets using a computationally-efficient representation are disclosed. A request to apply a coverage algorithm to a large input dataset is received. The large dataset includes sets of elements. A computationally-efficient representation of the large dataset is generated by generating a reduced set of elements that contains fewer elements based on a defined probability. For each element in the reduced set, a determination is made regarding whether the element appears in more than a threshold number of sets. When the element appears in more than the threshold number, the element is removed from sets until the element appears in only the threshold number. The coverage algorithm is then applied to the computationally-efficient representation to identify a subset of the sets. The system provides data identifying the subset of the sets in response to the received request.
Composition of Pattern-Driven Reactions in Real-Time Dataflow Programming
A technique implements a dataflow graph, taking a number of streams of data inputs and transforms these inputs into a number of streams of outputs. The dataflow graph can perform pattern matching. The technique implements reactions via the composition of pattern matching across joined streams of input data. A completeness of matching an input sequence to a particular input pattern can be characterized as having at least three different degrees, such as cold (not yet matched), warm (e.g., minimally matched), and hot (e.g., maximally matched). The input pattern to be matched can have a variable length, including zero length or unlimited or arbitrarily large length. Data flows can be on a push basis or pull basis, or a combination, and may change depending on the state.
AUTOMATED ASSESSMENT AND GRADING OF COMPUTERIZED ALGORITHMS
A grading system and method for grading a user solution to a computing assignment are presented. The method includes receiving a program code submitted by a user, wherein the received program code is the user solution to the computing assignment; activating at least one code processing engine, wherein each code processing engine is a secured isolated execution environment; executing the program code in the at least one activated code processing engine to produce an answer; determining a grade for the answer based on an expected answer and an approximate grading function, wherein the approximate grading function is determined based on a type of the computing assignment; and returning the grade to the user.
Preventing unsafe sharing through confinement of mutable captured variables
The disclosed embodiments provide a system that facilitates the development and execution of a software program. During operation, the system provides a mechanism for restricting a variable to a runtime context in the software program. Next, the system identifies the runtime context during execution of the software program. Finally, the system uses the mechanism to prevent incorrect execution of the software program by ensuring that a closure capturing the variable executes within the identified runtime context.
Hardware resource access systems and techniques
Systems and techniques for hardware resource access are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus may receive, via a stateless protocol message, a request from an application to pair with a hardware resource of a computing device remote from the apparatus. The apparatus may provide to the computing device, via a stateless protocol message, identifiers of the application and the hardware resource, and may receive, via a stateless protocol message, pairing approval from the computing device. In response to receiving the pairing approval, the apparatus may generate a pairing token that may be used by the application to pair the application with the hardware resource. Other embodiments may be disclosed and/or claimed.
