Relay system
A relay system includes a detector that detects occurrence of failure related to a processor that reads and processes requests from a memory, a monitor that monitors statuses of the requests stored in the memory and gives an instruction to increase or reduce a computational resource depending on the statuses of the requests stored in the memory, and a controller that performs control in response to detection of the failure by the detector so that a status of the memory is set to a state in which the monitor determines that addition of the computational resource is unnecessary.
Basic input output system updates
Example implementations relate to Basic Input Output System updates. In some examples, a computing device can include a memory, a processor to, in response to completion of a Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) update, generate and store a boot status variable in the memory, determine whether the BIOS update was successful, in response to the BIOS update being successful, delete the boot status variable from the memory and perform a power event, and in response to the BIOS update being unsuccessful, perform a BIOS recovery.
VISUALIZATION OF OUTLIERS IN A HIGHLY-SKEWED DISTRIBUTION OF TELEMETRY DATA
Systems and methods for enhancing the representation of outliers in a distribution of telemetry data of a monitored system are provided. According to one embodiment, telemetry data of the monitored system may be continuously collected. Frequency values representing a frequency of occurrence of corresponding telemetry data of the collected telemetry data may be generated by aggregating the collected telemetry data. As the vast majority of telemetry data is expected to represent a normal operating state of the system and relatively few, if any, of the telemetry data (e.g., outliers) will be indicative of one or more events of significance, the resulting distribution of the frequency values is highly skewed. In order to facilitate visualization of the distribution that accentuates the outliers, display characteristics may be calculated for the frequency values by applying a visualization model based on a weighted combination of multiple data transformations to each of the frequency values.
Probabilistic Error Detection and Correction in Form-Based Input of a User Interface
Persistent storage may contain a definition of a user interface that includes a plurality of inputs, a specification of a graph of dependencies between pairs of inputs in the plurality of inputs, and collected data representing previously-submitted combinations of the plurality of inputs and corresponding indications of successes or errors. One or more processors may be configured to: transmit, to a client device, a representation of the user interface; receive, from the client device, a set of input values corresponding to the plurality of inputs; determine that the set of input values, in combination, results in an error; based on the collected data and the graph, calculate likelihoods respectively corresponding to one or more of the input values, wherein the likelihoods are estimates that the input values corresponding thereto caused the error; and transmit, to the client device, at least one of the likelihoods.
Memory error detection
Systems and methods are provided for detecting and correcting address errors in a memory system. In the memory system, a memory device generates an error-detection code based on an address transmitted via an address bus and transmits the error-detection code to a memory controller. The memory controller transmits an error indication to the memory device in response to the error-detection code. The error indication causes the memory device to remove the received address and prevent a memory operation.
System and method for configuration drift detection and remediation
Administration of IHSs (Information Handling Systems) within a data center results gradual drift of the configuration parameters of the individual IHSs such that the IHSs may no longer be in compliance with data center policies, such as policies in support of security and disaster recovery procedures. Embodiments provide techniques for distributed determination of drift within a network of managed IHSs, in which each managed IHS is provided with baselines for the configuration parameters utilized by each managed IHS. Using the provided baselines, each managed IHS identifies discrepancies between its current configuration and the applicable baselines. Based on discrepancies reported by the managed IHSs, a management console evaluates drift within the network of managed IHSs and determines when to trigger remediation procedures in order to correct the drift.
Machine learning based database management
A method for machine learning based database management is provided. The method may include training a machine learning model to detect an anomaly that is present and/or developing in a database system. The anomaly in the database system may be detected by at least processing, with a trained machine learning model, one or more performance metrics for the database system. In response to detecting the presence of the anomaly at the database system, one or more remedial actions may be determined for correcting and/or preventing the anomaly at the database system. The one or more remedial actions may further be sent to a database management system associated with the database system. Related systems and articles of manufacture are also provided.
Method and apparatus for processing a histogram output from a detector sensor
A method includes receiving a histogram output from a detector sensor, and calculating a median point of a pulse waveform within the histogram. The pulse waveform has an even probability distribution over at least one quantization step of the histogram around the median point. A corresponding apparatus can include a detector sensor and a co-processor coupled to the detector sensor.
Predictive system resource allocation
A system may include a processing unit; a storage device comprising instructions, which when executed by the processing unit, configure the processing unit to perform operations comprising: retrieving a meeting count of meetings scheduled during a future time period; generating a predicted usage level of a service during the future time period based on the meeting count; determining a resource modification for the service based on the predicted usage level; and implementing the resource modification prior to the future time period.
Reporting control information errors
Methods, systems, and devices for reporting control information errors are described. A state of a memory array may be monitored during operation. After detecting an error (e.g., in received control information), the memory device may enter a first state (e.g., a locked state) and may indicate to a host device that an error was detected, the state of the memory array before the error was detected , and/or at least a portion of a control signal carrying the received control information. The host device may diagnose a cause of the error based on receiving the indication of the error and/or the copy of the control signal. After identifying and/or resolving the cause of the error, the host device may transmit one or more commands (e.g., unlocking the memory device and returning the memory array to the original state) based on receiving the original state from the memory device.
