The present disclosure relates to a communication method for a slave device in a master-slave communication structure, including: sending a boot report to the master device at power-up to report that the slave device is booting, wherein the boot report includes identity information for the slave device; receiving a heartbeat message from the master device; and if no heartbeat message is received from the master device for more than a predetermined time, the boot report is continuously sent to the master device at predetermined intervals until a feedback message of successful connection is received from the master device. Further, the present disclosure relates to a communication method for a communication system having a master-slave communication structure, a communication device for a slave device in a master-slave communication structure, and a communication system having a master-slave communication structure.

A system for representing attributes in a transportation system digital twin includes a digital twin datastore and one or more processors. The digital twin datastore stores a transportation-system digital twin including real-world-element digital twins embedded therein. The transportation system digital twin corresponds to a transportation system. Each real-world-element digital twin provides a digital twin of a respective real-world element that is disposed within the transportation system. The real-world-element digital twins include mobile-element digital twins. Each mobile-element digital twin provides a digital twin of a respective mobile element within the real-world elements. The one or more processors are configured to, for each mobile element, determine, in response to an occurrence of a triggering condition, a position of the mobile element, and update, in response to determining the position of the mobile element, the mobile-element digital twin corresponding to the mobile element to reflect the position of the mobile element.

ADAPTIVE, PROACTIVE RAID REBUILD

A data storage system includes a plurality of storage devices organized as a redundant array of inexpensive disks (RAID) storage array and a RAID controller. The RAID controller monitors the plurality of storage devices in the RAID storage array. The RAID controller also detects that a host read request of a host has a latency exceeding a latency threshold. Based on the monitoring, the RAID controller determines whether a proactive rebuild of a data requested by the host read request in absence of a data error would likely be beneficial to performance. Based on determining that a proactive rebuild of the data requested by the host read request would likely be beneficial to performance, the RAID controller initiates the proactive rebuild of the data and sends the requested data to the host.

A method, apparatus and system for providing process-level forensics for a plurality of application containers includes for each of the plurality of application containers; monitoring forensics information of the application container, encoding the monitored forensics information using an encoder of a predetermined encoder/decoder pair to determine a forensics model, decoding the forensics model to determine a reconstructed representation of the forensics information, comparing the reconstructed representation of the forensics information to the monitored forensics information to determine an error and comparing the error to a threshold to determine if an error above the threshold exists. If the error is below the threshold, the forensics model is communicated to a higher-level manager to be used for higher-level management. If the error is above the threshold, the monitored forensics information of the application container is also communicated to the higher-level manager. The predetermined encoder/decoder pair is determined using an autoencoding process.

Performance and deadlock mitigation during a memory die fail storm

A method is described that includes processing, by a memory subsystem, a read memory command that is addressed to a first die of a memory device. The memory subsystem determines whether processing the read memory command failed to correctly read user data from the first die and, in response to determining that processing the read memory command failed to correctly read user data from the first die, determines whether the first die has failed. In response to determining that the first die has failed, the memory subsystem performs an abbreviated error recovery procedure to successfully perform the read memory command instead of a full error recovery procedure.
