DATABASE OBSERVATION SYSTEM
Systems, methods, and storage media are provided that are useful in a computing environment for receiving, modifying, and transforming service level information from database servers and entities in a hosted database environment. Multiple application programming interface (API) calls are made by a database observation system to request information for multiple service level indicators from database servers belonging to multiple different entities. Database observation system receives and aggregates the information for multiple service level indicators from each of the database servers belonging to multiple different entities. The database observation system provides, within a dashboard interface, the aggregated information for each of the multiple service level indicators, individual service level indicator scores, and aggregated service level indicator scores for each of the database servers for each of the multiple entities.
INTERPOLATING PERFORMANCE DATA
Aspects of the invention include determining an event associated with a computing system, the event occurring at a first time, obtaining system data associated with the computing system, determining a system state of the computing system at the first time based on the system data, determining, based on the system state, two or more system data clusters comprising clustered system data associated with the system state of the computing system, determining, via an interpolation algorithm, an interpolated data value for the first time based on the system data, and adjusting the interpolated data value based on a determination that the interpolate data value is outside the two or more system data clusters.
DETERMINING METRICS FOR DATA RECORDS
A computer-based system may be configured to collect metadata and/or the like indicative of all the metrics exposed from a data pipeline (e.g., an ETL pipeline, etc.) and transform the metrics into a single group of metrics user-facing, user-specific, user-configured, and/or the like metrics that allow the maturity and quality of data and/or data records to be analyzed and/or displayed. Collected metrics can be agnostic of a source data flow component of a data pipeline and/or resource technology (e.g., API, etc.). Collected metrics may indicate a measure of data freshness, data duplication, new data records, updated date data records, data errors, and/or the like.
OPERATION MANAGEMENT APPARATUS, SYSTEM, METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
An operation management apparatus (1) includes: a storage unit (11) that stores a plurality of pieces of communication definition information (111), and a plurality of pieces of service definition information (112); a reception unit (12) that receives at least one designation of the service definition information (112) from among the plurality of pieces of service definition information (112); a first specification unit (13) that specifies the communication definition information (111) included in the designated service definition information (112) from among the plurality of pieces of service definition information (112) as specific communication definition information; a second specification unit (14) that specifies the system element of the communication destination defined in the specific communication definition information as a specific system element; and a generation unit (15) that generates output information including the specific system element.
METHOD, ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR MANAGING DISK
Techniques for managing a disk involve acquiring a message for an access operation for a disk, the message including a first status code at an operating system level for the access operation. The techniques further involve acquiring a second status code at a disk hardware level for the access operation if it is determined that the first status code indicates that the access operation fails. The techniques further involve determining, according to a handling policy corresponding to the second status code, whether the disk will be marked as faulty. The techniques further involve managing the disk based on a count of failed access operations for the disk if it is determined that the disk is not marked as faulty. Such techniques may quickly determine a specific reason for a failure of a disk access operation, making it possible to solve problems quickly, save time and improve the user experience.
PRIORITIZING INTERNET-ACCESSIBLE WORKLOADS FOR CYBER SECURITY
Methods and systems for assessing internet exposure of a cloud-based workload are disclosed. A method comprises accessing at least one cloud provider API to determine a plurality of entities capable of routing traffic in a virtual cloud environment associated with a target account containing the workload, querying the at least one cloud provider API to determine at least one networking configuration of the entities, building a graph connecting the plurality of entities based on the networking configuration, accessing a data structure identifying services publicly accessible via the Internet and capable of serving as an internet proxy; integrating the identified services into the graph; traversing the graph to identify at least one source originating via the Internet and reaching the workload, and outputting a risk notification associated with the workload. Systems and computer-readable media implementing the above method are also disclosed.
Visualization of outliers in a highly-skewed distribution of telemetry data
Systems and methods for enhancing the representation of outliers in a distribution of telemetry data of a monitored system are provided. According to one embodiment, telemetry data of the monitored system may be continuously collected. Frequency values representing a frequency of occurrence of corresponding telemetry data of the collected telemetry data may be generated by aggregating the collected telemetry data. As the vast majority of telemetry data is expected to represent a normal operating state of the system and relatively few, if any, of the telemetry data (e.g., outliers) will be indicative of one or more events of significance, the resulting distribution of the frequency values is highly skewed. In order to facilitate visualization of the distribution that accentuates the outliers, display characteristics may be calculated for the frequency values by applying a visualization model based on a weighted combination of multiple data transformations to each of the frequency values.
REPORTING FOR DATABASE BACKUPS
Techniques described herein relate to a method for reporting database backup information. The method may include starting a monitor process; generating a flag file for the database backup comprising a parent process identifier (PID) of a parent process of a first child process; associating a second child process with the monitor process by identifying the flag file using the parent PID; receiving channel close alerts from the child processes; making a first determination that backup jobs performed in a first channel were successful; making a second determination that backup jobs performed in the second channel were successful; and transmitting, based on the first determination and the second determination, a backup success report to a backup coordinator.
COMPONENT MONITORING FRAMEWORK
A method comprises collecting data corresponding to a plurality of components in a system, wherein the data comprises information about one or more issues with the plurality of components. The data is analyzed and categorized based at least in part on the analysis. In the method, one or more application programming interfaces (APIs) are selected to monitor respective statuses of the plurality of components, wherein the selection is based at least in part on the categorization of the data, and the data is pushed to the one or more APIs.
