A signal tuning method for a peripheral component interconnect express (PCIe) includes assigning a first signal setting to the PCIe to generate a first PCIe signal, and tuning a link by the first PCIe signal, and determining whether to assign a second signal setting to the PCIe according to a signal status of the link, for generating a second PCIe signal to tune the link; wherein the PCIe is connected to a plurality of electronic devices via the link.

Various aspects of the disclosure relate to test automation systems with pre-compilers to validate various steps associated with a test script. An artificial intelligence (AI)-based pre-compiler may use natural language processing (NLP) to validate various steps associated with a test script associated with an application. Other aspects of this disclosure relate to automated encryption and mocking of test input data associated with test scripts.

A method for exchange of equipment performance data includes the steps of: obtaining performance data of a communicatively-insulated device; converting the performance data into a scannable code; capturing an image of the scannable code; decoding the scannable code using a communicatively-enabled device to extract an address string encoded in the scannable code, the address string comprising an address of a remote server and the performance data; initiating, by the communicatively-enabled device, a communications link with the remote server using the address string thereby to provide the performance data to the remote server; performing, by the remote server, analytics on the performance data; and sending historic device performance data and/or analytical results to a remote computing device and/or sending a link to the historic device performance data and/or analytical results to the remote computing device; wherein the communicatively-insulated device is packaging equipment and wherein obtaining the performance data comprises: running a calibration phantom through the packaging equipment; scanning the calibration phantom with a calibration unit; and using the calibration unit to generate a system status report identifying one or more operational parameters of the packaging equipment.

A method may include obtaining at least one dataset that includes information corresponding to periods of usage of a plurality of components within a cloud infrastructure and usage cost for each component of the plurality of components within the cloud infrastructure. The method may include comparing the information corresponding to the periods of usage with at least a portion of the information corresponding to the usage cost for components. The method may include determining a cost for one or more of the components for a period of time. The cost may be determined based on the comparison of the information corresponding to the periods of usage of the components with at least the portion of the information corresponding to the usage cost for the components. The method may include generating a visualization that includes information representative of the cost of the components and displaying the visualization via a display screen.

A backup manager for managing backup services includes persistent storage and a backup analyzer. The persistent storage includes a backup data repository and protection policies. The backup analyzer identifies a new backup stored in backup storage; performs a backup compatibility analysis on the new backup to determine inter-backup compatibility of the identified new backup; updates the backup data repository based on the inter-backup compatibility to obtain an updated backup data repository; and modifies a backup schedule using the updated backup data repository to meet a requirement of a protection policy of the protection policies.

A system is configured to detect a small, but meaningful, anomaly within one or more metrics associated with a platform. The system displays visuals of the metrics so that a user monitoring the platform can effectively notice a problem associated with the anomaly and take appropriate action to remediate the problem. A first visual includes a radar-based visual that renders an object representing data for a set of metrics being monitored. A second visual includes a tree map visual that includes sections where each section is associated with an attribute used to compose the set of metrics. Via the display of the visuals, the techniques provide an improved way of representing a large number of metrics (e.g., hundreds, thousands, etc.) being monitored for a platform. Moreover, the techniques are configured to expose useful information associated with the platform in a manner that can be effectively interpreted by a user.

A data intake and query system establishes a network connection with an instrumented target system. The instrumented target system collects metrics in accordance with an instrumentation platform, whereby the instrumentation platform defines an instrumentation platform query. The metrics are stored in the data intake and query system. A data intake and query system query for a subset of metrics is transmitted. The data intake and query system query replicates the instrumentation platform query of the instrumentation platform. From the data store, log data for the instrumented target system, and correlated with the metrics to obtain correlated results.

An information processing apparatus includes: an operating unit capable of recognizing a peripheral apparatus. The operating unit includes: a first recognizing unit configured to recognize, when a peripheral apparatus is connected to the operating unit and identification information about the connected peripheral apparatus is included in peripheral apparatus information including predetermined identification information, the connected peripheral apparatus as a first peripheral apparatus; and a second recognizing unit configured to recognize, when a peripheral apparatus is connected to the operating unit and the identification information about the connected peripheral apparatus is not included in the peripheral apparatus information, the connected peripheral apparatus as a second peripheral apparatus.

In the present invention, a management system has a storage device and a processor. The storage device holds an information processing program for controlling information pertaining to a storage system by utilizing a database. The processor executes an update program that updates the information processing program and the database utilized by the information processing program. The update program calculates an estimated update time needed to update the information processing program and the database on the basis of the size of at least a portion of the database utilized by the information processing program before being updated and the structure of the database utilized by the information processing program after being updated, and outputs the estimated update time thus calculated.

A computing system is configured to derive insights related to asset operation and present these insights via a GUI. To these ends, the computing system (a) receives data related to the operation of assets, (b) based on this data, derives a plurality of insights related to the operation of at least a subset of the assets, (c) from the insights, defines a given subset of insights to be presented to a user, (d) defines at least one aggregated insight representative of one or more individual insights in the given subset of insights that are related to a common underlying problem, and (e) causes the user's client station to display a visualization of the given subset of insights including (i) an insights pane that provides a high-level overview of the subset of insights and (ii) a details pane that provides additional details regarding a selected one of the subset of insights.
