A stand alone low cost writing pad includes a rechargeable battery, a low capacity memory, a low power processor, a first pair of connectors and supports audio, video and digital ink capturing functionalities. The writing pad may be detached from and re-attached to a stand alone base unit using the first pair of connectors. The base unit includes another rechargeable battery, high capacity memory, high power processor, and a second pair of connectors. The base unit receives captured audio and digital ink from the writing pad via the communication pathway and the high power processor runs voice recognition and optical character recognition software on received data to generate second data. The second data is displayed on the writing pad and/or stored in the high capacity memory for future use.

System with solid state drive and control method thereof

A system includes a host device, an external bus and a storage device. A driver is installed in the host device. The external bus is connected with the host device. The external bus supports a communication protocol. The storage device includes a controlling circuit and a non-volatile memory. After the storage device issues a request to the host device according to the communication protocol, a reserved space is created in a host memory of the host device in response to the request, and a device information from the storage device is stored into the reserved space. While the host device issues a first command to operate the storage device, the first command is converted into a second command by the driver according to the device information, and then the second command is transmitted to the storage device.

Electronic tool and methods for meetings

An electronic meeting tool and method for communicating arbitrary media content from users at a meeting includes a node configuration adapted to operate a display node of a communications network, the display node being coupled to a first display. The node configuration is adapted to receive user selected arbitrary media content and to control display of the user selected arbitrary media content on the first display. A peripheral device adapted to communicate the user selected arbitrary media content via the communications network is a connection unit including a connector adapted to couple to a port of a processing device having a second display, a memory and an operating system, and a transmitter. A program is adapted to obtain user selected arbitrary media content, the program leaving a zero footprint on termination. The user may trigger a transfer of the user selected arbitrary media content to the transmitter.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REALIZING REMOTE CONTROL BASED ON BLUETOOTH HUMAN INTERFACE DEVICE PROTOCOL

The present disclosure provides a method and a system for realizing a remote control based on a Bluetooth human interface device (HID) protocol, where the method for realizing the remote control based on the Bluetooth HID protocol includes: A: connecting a manipulation device with a remote device by a BLUETOOTH; B: mapping, by the manipulation device, a control key into a HID command by using the Bluetooth HID protocol and sends the HID command to the remote device, if the manipulation device receives an operation that a user presses the control key during the remote device executes a functional software; and C: translating, by the remote device, the HID command to a logic key and executing the logic key to realize the remote control after the remote device receives the HID command.

DATA TRANSFER BETWEEN HOST AND PERIPHERAL DEVICES

A device, which may be a peripheral device or a host computing device, comprises a communication interface, a memory and a processor. The processor is arranged to detect imminent disconnection of a communication link between the peripheral device and the host computing device and in response to detecting the imminent disconnection of the communication link, to trigger a data transfer from the host computing device to the peripheral device via the communication interface. The data transfer defines, at least in part, a fixed output data set which, after disconnection, is output via an output device in the peripheral device.

Multi-Standard Single Interface With Reduced I/O Count

An apparatus is described having an electrical interface that supports a first specification and a second specification. The first specification specifies differentially transmitted data. The second specification specifies at least three transmitted data signals. The electrical interface includes a plurality of modular transmitter circuits where each transmitter circuit includes a single ended driver and a select circuit. The select circuit is to select either one end of a differential signal associated with the first specification or one of the at least three transmitted data signals associated with the second specification.
