NoC relaxed write order scheme
11714779 · 2023-08-01 · ·

Embodiments herein describe a SoC that includes a NoC that supports both strict and relax ordering requests. That is, some applications may require strict ordering where requests transmitted from the same ingress logic to different egress logic blocks are performed sequentially. However, other applications may not require strict ordering, such as interleaved writes to memory. In those applications, relax ordering can be used were the same ingress logic block can transmit multiple requests to different egress logic blocks in parallel. For example, an ingress logic block may receive a first request that is indicated as being a relaxed ordered request. After transmitting the request to an egress logic block, the ingress logic block may receive a second request. The ingress logic block can transmit the second request to a different egress logic block without waiting for a response for the first request.

Modular periphery tile for integrated circuit device

Systems or methods of the present disclosure may improve scalability (e.g., component scalability, product variation scalability) of integrated circuit systems by disaggregating periphery intellectual property (IP) circuitry into modular periphery IP tiles that can be installed as modules. Such an integrated circuit system may include a first die that includes programmable fabric circuitry and a second die that that includes a periphery IP tile. The periphery IP tile may be disaggregated from the programmable fabric die and may be communicatively coupled to the first die via a modular interface.

DETECTING INFINITE LOOPS IN A PROGRAMMABLE ATOMIC TRANSACTION
20230027534 · 2023-01-26 ·

Disclosed in some examples are systems, methods, devices, and machine-readable mediums to detect and terminate programmable atomic transactions that are stuck in an infinite loop. In order to detect and terminate these transactions, the programmable atomic unit may use an instruction counter that increments each time an instruction is executed during execution of a programmable atomic transaction. If the instruction counter meets or exceeds a threshold instruction execution limit without reaching the termination instruction, the programmable atomic transaction may be terminated, all resources used (e.g., memory locks) may be freed, and a response may be sent to a calling processor.

Fault detectable and tolerant neural network

A hardware neural network engine which uses checksums of the matrices used to perform the neural network computations. For fault correction, expected checksums are compared with checksums computed from the matrix developed from the matrix operation. The expected checksums are developed from the prior stage of the matrix operations or from the prior stage of the matrix operations combined with the input matrices to a matrix operation. This use of checksums allows reading of the matrices from memory, the dot product of the matrices and the accumulation of the matrices to be fault corrected without triplication of the matrix operation hardware and extensive use of error correcting codes. The nonlinear stage of the neural network computation is done using triplicated nonlinear computational logic. Fault detection is done in a similar manner, with fewer checksums needed and correction logic removed as compared to the fault correction operation.
