Cloud hybrid application storage management (CHASM) system

The cloud hybrid application storage management system spans local data center and cloud-based storage and provides a unified view of content and administration throughout an enterprise. The system manages synchronization of storage locations, ensuring that files are replicated, uniquely identified, and protected against corruption. The system ingests digital media assets and creates instances of the assets with their own identification and rights and houses the identification and relationships in a CAR (Central Asset Registry). The system tracks the different instances of the assets in multiple storage locations using the CAR, which is a central asset registry that ties together disparate digital asset management repository systems (DAMs) and cloud-based storage archives in which the instances reside. While the invention treats and manages multiple files/instances independently, the CAR identifies them as related to each other.

A method for generating an electronic file associated with health care professionals (HCPs). The method includes receiving health information from a covered entity computing system and a file generation request from a user computing device. The method further includes matching HCP information with the health information and determining one or more statistical values based on at least one of the matched HCP information or the matched health information. The method further includes generating the electronic file including the one or more statistical values and at least a portion of the matched HCP information and providing the file to the destination address of the file generation request. The electronic file is generated as the file type identified by the file generation request, and is structured based on at least one of the file generation request or the file destination.

System and method for an ultra highly available, high performance, persistent memory optimized, scale-out database

A shared-nothing database system is provided in which parallelism and workload balancing are increased by assigning the rows of each table to “slices”, and storing multiple copies (“duplicas”) of each slice across the persistent storage of multiple nodes of the shared-nothing database system. When the data for a table is distributed among the nodes of a shared-nothing system in this manner, requests to read data from a particular row of the table may be handled by any node that stores a duplica of the slice to which the row is assigned. For each slice, a single duplica of the slice is designated as the “primary duplica”. All DML operations (e.g. inserts, deletes, updates, etc.) that target a particular row of the table are performed by the node that has the primary duplica of the slice to which the particular row is assigned. The changes made by the DML operations are then propagated from the primary duplica to the other duplicas (“secondary duplicas”) of the same slice.

Determining a storage location according to data retention policies

A method for determining a storage location includes one or more processing modules of one or more computing devices of a storage network (SN) receiving a data object to store in a storage network (SN) and determining whether the data object is subject to a legal restriction, where a data object is subject to a legal restriction based on the data object requiring storage in a jurisdiction that subjects the data object to a retention policy. The method continues by determining one or more attributes of a first storage location of a plurality of storage locations and based on a determination that the data object is subject to a legal restriction and at least one attribute of the one or more attributes of the first storage location, transmitting a write threshold number of write requests to a plurality of SUs at the first storage location.

Sharing prepopulated container image caches among container execution environments

Techniques are described for sharing prepopulated container image caches among container execution environments to improve the performance of container launches. The container images used to prepopulate such a cache at a computing device supporting one or more container execution environments can include various container images that are used as the basis for a wide range of user-created containers such as, for example, container images representing popular operating system distributions, database servers, web-application frameworks, and so forth. Existing systems typically obtain these container images as needed at runtime when launching containers (for example, from a container registry or other external source), often incurring significant overhead in the container launch process. The use of a prepopulated container image cache can significantly improve the performance of container launches by making such commonly used container images available to container execution environments running at a computing device ahead of time.

Delta data collection technique for machine assessment

Systems and methods are disclosed to implement a delta data collection technique for collecting machine characteristics data from client machines. In embodiments, the collected data is used by a machine assessment service to maintain a virtual representation of the client machine for assessments. To initialize the collection process, the client uploads an initial copy of the data in full. Subsequently, the client determines periodic deltas between a current baseline of the data and a last reported baseline, and the deltas are uploaded as patches. The machine assessment service then applies these patches to update the virtual representation of the client machine. In embodiments, to facilitate the generation or uploading of the patches, the client may generate the baselines in a different encoding format as used by the data. For example, baselines in the new encoding format may be more easily compared and manipulated during the patch generation process.

Delta data collection technique for machine assessment

File defragmentation service

The subject technology selects a most recently created file from a set of files stored in a source table. The subject technology iterates, in the source table, starting from the most recently created file up to an age threshold to select a first set of files for performing a first defragmentation process. The subject technology sets an indication corresponding to a particular file that is a last file, from the first set of files, that meets the age threshold. The subject technology performs the first defragmentation process on the selected first set of files. The subject technology determines that the first defragmentation process was successful.

Various aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and machine-readable media for automating the recording of an evidentiary history (e.g., versions audit trail) of a graphical user interface with an embedded clickwrap agreement. The snapshot server captures and outputs snapshot records of a graphical user interface displaying the clickwrap agreement on an end user computing platform. The snapshot records are created using a virtual machine that emulates an end user computing platform for navigation of an application rendered on the platform. Aspects may also include generating a snapshot record of metadata associated with the captured snapshot image.
