SUBTITLE RENDERING BASED ON THE READING PACE
20220414133 · 2022-12-29 ·

Systems and methods for summarizing captions, configuring playback speed, and rewriting the caption file for a media asset are disclosed. The system determines whether to display the original captions or a summarized version of the captions, which are based on user's language proficiency level, reading pace, and historical data, and can be generated either on-demand or automatically when rewinds and pauses are detected. The caption file which includes the original captions can be rewritten. The system determines whether to stream a caption or a rewritten file to a media device based on user or system selections. In the absence of a caption file, or when the caption file cannot be summarized, the playback speed of the media asset is slowed down to provide additional reading time to the user.

Rule generation in a data governance framework

A computer system, computer program product, and a computer-implemented method for supplementing a data governance framework with one or more new data governance technical rules is disclosed. The method comprises providing a plurality of expressions and a first mapping. The expressions assign natural language patterns to technical language patterns. The first mapping maps first terms to data sources. A rule generator receives a new natural language (NL) rule comprising one or more natural-language patterns and one or more first terms. The rule generator resolves the new NL rule into one or more new technical rules interpretable by a respective rule engine and stores the one or more technical rules in a rule repository.

Assisted problem identification in a computing system

A method, system and computer program product for providing support for identification of the problem root cause in a computing system. Knowledge base mapping monitoring programs with respective to one or more technical problem definitions and a predefined system configuration are provided. The technical problems are defined using a predefined data structure. An inquiry relating to the computing system is received from a requester. The inquiry indicates a technical problem statement of the computing system. The received inquiry is parsed for constructing a problem description in accordance with the predefined data structure. A set of monitoring programs of the knowledge base may be identified using the problem description. Using software and/or hardware configuration data of the computing system, the set of monitoring programs may be instantiated in a monitor system. The instantiated programs may be provided to the requester as support for identification of the problem root cause.

Systems and methods for creating enhanced documents for perfect automated parsing

The disclosed enhanced document creation and parsing systems deal with enhanced documents that allow for the presentation of document content in a preferred visual manner, while ensuring that the document content can be captured accurately by an automated parser with nothing being discarded or misrepresented. The enhanced document creation system may create an enhanced document by encoding document content in accordance with a defined schema, optionally encrypting the resulting structured data into an encrypted byte string, and embedding the encrypted byte string as non-visible metadata in a rendered document. The resulting enhanced document can be completely and accurately parsed by an enhanced document parsing system that is capable of extracting, decrypting and decoding the embedded document metadata.

Hyperplane optimization in high dimensional ontology

A computer-implemented method for generating a description of a target skill set using domain specific language, a computer program product, and a system. Embodiments may comprise, on a processor, ingesting a data set related to the target skill from a data store, semantically analyzing the data set to generate a skill ontology, generating a hyperplane to separate one or more priority skills from among the plurality of related skills, generating a description for the target skill from the one or more priority skills, and presenting the generated description to a user. The skill ontology may include relationships between the target skill and a plurality of related skills.

RANKING TEXT SUMMARIZATION OF TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS
20220405315 · 2022-12-22 ·

An approach to ranking identified technical solutions summaries may be provided. The approach may include extracting data from technical tickets, subject matter expert reports, and online forum data. The approach may include receiving data relating to prior applications of one or more technical solutions. Steps associated with a technical solution may be included in the information from the prior application of the technical solutions and updated based on the information from prior applications of technical solutions. The approach may include generating a risk score and a cost score for the updated technical solution based on contextual factors associated with a user or machine. The approach may include enriching a static summary for the technical solution with the cost and risk score. The approach may include ranking the enriched summary against multiple potential technical solutions.

GENERATION AND PRESENTATION OF SUMMARY LIST BASED UPON ARTICLE

One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for generating summary lists based upon articles are presented. In an example, a summarizing set of sentences of an article may be identified. The summarizing set of sentences may be analyzed to identify one or more first sentences of the summarizing set of sentences that meet a set of conditions and/or identify one or more second sentences of the summarizing set of sentences that do not meet the set of conditions. A summary list summarizing the article may be generated based upon the one or more first sentences.
