Approaches are described for shape-based graphics search. Each graphics object of a set of graphics objects is analyzed. The analyzing includes determining an outline of the graphics object from graphics data that forms the graphics object. The outline of the graphics object is sampled resulting in sampled points that capture the outline of the graphics object. A shape descriptor of the graphics object is determined which captures local and global geometric properties of the sampled points. Search results of a search query are determined based on a comparison between a shape descriptor of a user identified graphics object and the shape descriptor of at least one graphics object of the set of graphics objects. At least one of the search results can be presented on a user device associated with the search query.

The image editing method includes receiving an image editing command for a target image in a photo album, and displaying an image editing function interface; wherein the image editing function interface includes an image editing application library; determining a target image editing application in the image editing application library; and opening an image editing interface corresponding to the target image editing application, and displaying the target image in the image editing interface.

A user device is caused to display a visual attribute representation for a plurality of visual attributes. A processor is caused to identify a plurality of items, each item is associated with a visual attribute matching at least one of the plurality of visual attributes. The items are classified a first set and a second set. The items in the first and second sets are mutually exclusive and simultaneously displayed. If the processor receives a single selection of a first visual attribute representation of a first visual attribute of the plurality of visual attributes, the first set consist of items associated with a visual attribute matching the first visual attribute and the second set comprise items associated with a visual attribute matching at least one of the plurality of visual attributes.

In accordance with one embodiment, in response to receiving an input, a device displays a first view of a collection of media items, including concurrently displaying a representation of a first time period and a representation of a second time period. In accordance with a determination that a current time is associated with a first recurring temporal event: the representation of the first time period includes a first representative media item and the representation of the second time period includes a second representative media item. In accordance with a determination that the current time is associated with a second recurring temporal event, the representation of the first time period includes a third representative media item and the representation of the second time period includes a fourth representative media item.

The present invention relates to a method and system for facilitating access to recorded data. The system comprises an interface and a processing device. The interface is arranged to receive data and the processing device is arranged to separate the received data in data subsets, compress each data subset and assign an identifier to each compressed data subset, thereby creating data units each comprising a compressed data subset and an associated identifier, the processing device further being arranged to establish an index on the basis of the assigned identifiers.
