CONTEXT-AWARE TAGGING FOR AUGMENTED REALITY ENVIRONMENTS
20210233319 · 2021-07-29 ·

A method for tag-based search includes capturing an image, extracting a tag from the image, identifying a location associated with the captured image, and querying stored content for information that matches the location and the tag. Local storage is checked for the information first, and remote storage may be checked subsequently. Any located information may be used to augment the image. Information located in the remote storage may be saved in the local storage until it reaches a certain age, until it fails to be accessed for a threshold period of time, or until the location moves outside a threshold radius associated with a location of the information located in the remote storage.

System and method for performing a computer assisted orthopaedic surgical procedure

A computer assisted surgery system includes a controller configured to display images of the surgical procedure according to a workflow plan. The controller is configured to retrieve data and determine the workflow plan based on the data. The controller may also be configured to record and store data related to the surgical procedure on, for example, a hospital network.

Example techniques and systems may obtain one or more search types associated with a geographic location of a computing device. In one example, a technique may include determining, by a mobile computing device, a geographic location of the mobile computing device and obtaining one or more search types associated with the geographic location. Responsive to obtaining the one or more search types, the technique may also include outputting, by the mobile computing device and for display, a graphical user interface comprising at least an indication of the one or more search types associated with the geographic location.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for content presentation. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a request for a content item to be presented to a user; for a collection of content items, identifying one or more candidate content items including using image keywords derived from images associated with the user to identify the one or more candidate content items; selecting a content item responsive to the content request from the candidate content items; and sending the selected content item for presentation to the user.

SYSTEM, METHOD, AND MEDIA FOR IDENTIFYING TOP ATTRIBUTES
20210248670 · 2021-08-12 ·

Top attributes of a product are identified from text content of an electronic document and are presented as visual depictions of the attributes. The attributes are identified and ranked based on the text content, such as whether the text content describes the attribute in a positive or negative manner. Top attributes are selected from the ranking and a visual depiction of the top attributes is identified. The visual depiction can be a universally recognized symbol or a custom image designated to an attribute. The visual depiction is superimposed on the text content associated with the attributes when the electronic document is presented at a display. In this way, top attributes for a product can be presented in a manner that condenses the relevant information provided by the electronic document into a format better suited for providing the information on small screens of mobile devices.

Method of retrieving event information is presented. Memento objects can be recognized by an archive engine. Based on the recognition, the archive engine obtains information related to the memento object, possibly one or more recognizable features, and uses the information to search for events associated with a timeline that have corresponding tags. The archive engine can then return the event information as a result set to a user.

MEDIA UNIT RETRIEVAL AND RELATED PROCESSES
20210232623 · 2021-07-29 ·

Media unit retrieval methods, systems and computer program products are provided that allow a user to search for an item by iteratively presenting media units such as images representing items to the user and receiving user input consisting of selections of the presented media units (including possibly the empty selection). Features, or attributes, a user is interested in, for example semantic features, are inferred from the interaction and media units are retrieved for presentation based on similarity with user-selected media units, through sampling of a probability distribution describing the intent or interests, or combinations of approaches. Accordingly, the user-experience is akin to a conversation about what the user is looking for. Retrieval may be based on both selected and unselected media units and the selection may comprise making a selection with a single action. Further, a database of media units can capture similarity relationships for efficient media unit retrieval.
