Entity recognition from an image

Aspects of the current disclosure include systems and methods for identifying an entity in a query image by comparing the query image with digital images in a database. In one or more embodiments, a query feature may be extracted from the query image and a set of candidate features may be extracted from a set of images in the database. In one or more embodiments, the distances between the query feature and the candidate features are calculated. A feature, which includes a set of shortest distances among the calculated distances and a distribution of the set of shortest distances, may be generated. In one or more embodiments, the feature is input to a trained model to determine whether the entity in the query image is the same entity associated with one of the set of shortest distances.

Information processing device, information processing method, and non-transitory computer readable medium having controller for controlling notification of executing linkage function

An information processing device includes a controller that controls a notification of a linkage function corresponding to plural selected files. In a further modification of the invention, the controller may control the notification of the linkage function corresponding to formats of the selected files. When the plural files having different formats are selected, the controller may control the notification of the linkage function corresponding to the formats of the selected files.

A method and apparatus for generating composite documents from document containers using a set of rules to populate slots in the containers with variable content is presented. The present invention allows the user to produce many individual, customized documents from a single container or set of linked containers and a set of content items stored in a database. Each container includes a set of rules that establish one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-many, or circular mappings between slots and content items. In one or more embodiments, the present invention may be used to create customized composite photograph collages, such as custom school pictures, where each generated document is a photograph collage that features a photograph of an individual student in a central, enlarged, or more prominent position, with smaller photographs of the other students in the class or school in less prominent positions in the collage.

Blockchain validation system

Blockchain validation is provided by receiving a first validation request of a blockchain. A hashing algorithm is applied to a first block of the blockchain to generate a first hash value. In response to the first validation request of the blockchain, a first image from a plurality of images is provided on a display device. The first image is selected to be provided for display on the display device based on the first hash value. The first image may be compared to a second image that was provided for display on the display device prior to the first validation request and that image was provided based on a second hash value to determine whether the first image and the second image are substantially similar, which indicates that no changes have been made to the data in the blockchain.

The present invention is directed to a tool that enables songwriters to efficiently solicit and analyze listener feedback during the songwriting process. To begin, a songwriter uploads a song to an online platform. The online platform presents the song and a feedback interface to a music listener. As the song plays, the listener provides feedback about the song using the feedback interface. For example, the listener may indicate that she likes or dislikes a particular element of the song, such as an instrument, at a specific point in time. The feedback is timestamped, processed, and presented to the songwriter fix analysis. Provided feedback may also be used for recommending subsequent songs to the listener. The interactive music feedback system described herein may integrate with a variety of music streaming platforms.

ANNOTATION METHOD AND DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

An annotation method and device and a storage medium are provided. The annotation method includes operations as follows. A first probability value that a first sample image is annotated with an Nth tag when the first sample image is annotated with an Mth tag is determined based on first tag information of a first image set. M and N are unequal and are positive integers. The first probability value is added to second tag information of a second sample image annotated with the Mth tag in a second image set.

VISUAL OBJECT INSTANCE DESCRIPTOR FOR PLACE RECOGNITION

An approach to place recognition from an image makes use of the detection of objects at a set of known places as well as at an unknown place. Images of the detected objects in an image of the unknown place are processed to yield respective numerical descriptors, and these descriptors are used to compare the unknown place to the known places to recognize the unknown place. At least some embodiments make use of a trained parameterized image processor to transform an image of an object to an object descriptor, and the training of the processor is meant to preserve distinctions between different instances of a type of object, as well as distinctions between entirely different types of objects.
