Weighted digital image object tagging

Weight image object tagging includes acquiring digital images based on a user browsing webpages, automatically tagging the digital images based on weighting individual image objects, where automatically tagging a digital image of the digital images is based on a relative weighting between objects recognized from that digital image, and building a user preference profile based on recurrences of tags across the digital images.

Search results through image attractiveness

Systems and methods for identifying search results in response to a search query are presented. More particularly, images are selected as search results, at least in part, according to an attractiveness value associated with the images. Upon receiving a search query, a set of content is identified according to the query intent of the search query and includes at least one image. The identified set of content is ordered according an overall score determined according to relevance and, in the case of the at least one image, according to an attractiveness value. A search results generator selects items from the set of content according to their overall scores, including the at least one image, generates a search results page, and returns the search results page to the requesting party.

Computer-implemented methods and systems for image analysis of multiband images of geographic regions are described, including a method by one or more computer executing executable instructions stored in one or more non-transitory, tangible, computer readable media, the method comprising: receiving one or more multiband image of a geographic region, the one or more multiband image having pixels; generating a grey level co-occurrence matrix for the pixels in the one or more multiband image; generating a surface index for the one or more multiband image containing information indicative of a surface type represented by one or more of the pixels in the one or more multiband image; and classifying the pixels of the one or more multiband image into one of a group of predefined land cover classes, based on the surface index in combination with the grey level co-occurrence matrix.

PRIORITIZED DEVICE ACTIONS TRIGGERED BY DEVICE SCAN DATA
20210019575 · 2021-01-21 ·

Systems, methods, devices, server computers, storage media, and instructions for prioritized device action triggered by device scan data are described. In one embodiment, a mobile device performs a method that involves executing a messaging application with an image capture interface and a scanning input. An associated scanning mode comprises capture of scan data from a plurality of input/output modules of the first client device, analyzes the scan data to identify one or more scan data patterns by matching at least a portion of the scan data against a set of data patterns, and selects a priority system action based on the results of the matching of the portion of the scan data against the set of data patterns. In some embodiments, the priority system action is selected based on a priority ranking for identified scan data types.

APPROACH TO LIVE MULTI-CAMERA STREAMING OF EVENTS WITH HAND-HELD CAMERAS
20210021753 · 2021-01-21 · ·

A system provides access to previously unassociated cameras that are concurrently at different specific locations at a single event, sending the real-time video and audio stream of said cameras to a central processing entity, transcoding and serving the real-time content to consumers in a way that associates the content as different camera angles of the same event, along with additional data from each camera owner such as twitter feeds. Also disclosed is a system for providing a user, via a client device, the ability to choose a desired feed for viewing the event and the ability to change the selected feed based a number of user-selected criteria.

EXTRACTION OF GENEALOGY DATA FROM OBITUARIES

Systems, methods, and other techniques for extracting data from obituaries are provided. In some embodiments, an obituary containing a plurality of words is received. Using a machine learning model, an entity tag from a set of entity tags may be assigned to each of one or more words of the plurality of words. Each particular tag from the set of entity tags may include a relationship component and a category component. The relationship component may indicate a relationship between a particular word and the deceased individual. The category component may indicate a categorization of the particular word to a particular category from a set of categories. The extracted data may be stored in a genealogical database.

METHOD FOR SELECTING IMAGE OF INTEREST TO CONSTRUCT RETRIEVAL DATABASE AND IMAGE CONTROL SYSTEM PERFORMING THE SAME
20210019345 · 2021-01-21 ·

Exemplary embodiments relate to a method for selecting an image of interest to construct a retrieval database including receiving an image captured by an imaging device, detecting an object of interest in the received image, selecting an image of interest based on at least one of complexity of the image in which the object of interest is detected and image quality of the object of interest, and storing information related to the image of interest in the retrieval database, and an image control system performing the same.

Generating Metadata for Image-Based Querying

Methods, systems, and computer program products for generating metadata for image-based querying are provided herein. A computer-implemented method includes processing a query image against a database by applying a deep learning visual model to the query image and images contained within the database; retrieving a set of multiple images from the database based on the processing; identifying subsets of images among the set of multiple images by analyzing metadata attribute values of the set of multiple images and nearest neighbor distance values between the query image and the multiple images in the set; determining one or more items of metadata attributable to the query image by processing metadata of the subsets of images; and outputting, to a user, the items of metadata in response to the query image.
