Aesthetic search engine
An improved approach for returning aesthetically relevant search results is disclosed. A training set of images (e.g., designer-created images) is used to train a detection engine that detects items in the images as features. A classification engine is configured to analyze the features and generate classification indices for the features. A user can select an item, and the classification index for the feature corresponding to the item is retrieved. The classification index is used to identify result images, which can be returned ranked according user action data and other parameters, such as style.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DELIVERING PERSONALIZED CONTENT AS AUGMENTED REALITY OVERLAYS
Disclosed are a system, method and software to associate attributes with digital media assets. Digital media contains specific assets, such as images, that can be replaced with other assets. The system, method and software permit the association of attributes with specific assets. The association of attributes and assets enables the provision of content that is enhanced and more impacting for a user.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RELATIVE REPRESENTATION OF SPATIAL OBJECTS AND DISAMBIGUATION IN AN INTERFACE
Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for interaction between a user and a machine. In one implementation, a system is provided that receives an input from a user of a mobile machine which indicates or describes an object in the world. In one example, the user may gesture to the object which is detected by a visual sensor. In another example, the user may verbally describe the object which is detected by an audio sensor. The system receiving the input may then determine which object near the location of the user that the user is indicating. Such a determination may include utilizing known objects near the geographic location of the user or the autonomous or mobile machine.

CONTROL METHOD AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A method for controlling an information terminal causes a computer of the information terminal to receive, from a case retrieval system, a plurality of similar medical images having a feature quantity of a region of interest and a certain degree of similarity in accordance with the region of interest included in a target medical image, displays a display screen displaying the plurality of received similar medical images on a touch panel display, the display screen including a display region in which at least some of the plurality of received similar medical images are displayed, displays, if selection of a first similar medical image from among the at least some of the plurality of received similar medical images displayed in the display region is detected, the first similar medical image across the display region, and displays, if a swipe operation performed on the first similar medical image is detected, a second similar medical image, which has second highest similarity next to the first similar medical image among the plurality of similar medical images, in the display region such that a corresponding region of interest included in the second similar medical image is located at a certain position in the display region.
SIMILAR IMAGE SEARCH SYSTEM
A similar image search system is provided and searches for images similar to a search key image, where a number of searched images of person are classified into a number of groups based on a similarity between the respective images. A grouping display is performed in which at least one of the images that belongs to each group is displayed in a display region that is provided for each group. The grouping display is performed in such a manner that the order of the similarity between each group and the search key image can be visually recognized.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATED DETECTION OF FIGURE ELEMENT REUSE
A system and method for automated detection of figure element reuse. The system can receive articles or other publications from a user input or an automated input. The system then extracts images from the articles and compares them to reference images from a historical database. The comparison and detection of matches occurs via a copy-move detection algorithm implemented by a processor of the system. The processor first locates and extracts keypoints from a submission image and finds matches between those keypoints and the keypoints from a reference image using a near neighbor algorithm. The matches are clustered and the clusters are compared for keypoint matching. Matched clusters are further compared for detectable transformations. The processor may additionally implement natural language processing to filter matches based on the context of the use of the submission image in the submission and a patch detector for removing false positive features.

LOCATION DETERMINATION SERVICE BASED ON USER-SOURCED IMAGE UPDATES
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for recovering inaccurate or missing base map data for an area while providing riders with incentive to refrain from selecting an alternate transportation service while experiencing increased wait times. A service receives a request for a driver and locates a driver to provide the service. The service determines whether the wait time for the rider exceeds a threshold wait time established by the service. If the service determines that the wait time exceeds the threshold wait time, the service identifies an object within a threshold vicinity of the rider known to have inaccurate or missing base map data. The service transmits a prompt for the rider to capture an image of the object. The service receives a rendering of the captured images from the client device, and activates a function via the client device if the images accurately capture the identified objects included in the prompt.
