Populating a database with information includes associating a first interactive item card with the first item; associating the card with the first owner; associating information content with the card. The information content includes a first location, or first image of the first item, social media interaction related to the card at a first moment of time or information related to the first owner; changing association of the card from the first owner to a second owner if the ownership of the first item is transferred; adding to the information content additional information content that includes a second location or a second image of the first item, at least one social media interaction related to the card at a second moment of time or an information related to the second owner; and populating the database with the associations and the information content.

A wearable apparatus is provided for capturing and processing images from an environment of a user. In one implementation, a system for facilitating collaboration between individuals includes a transceiver and at least one processing device. The at least one processing device is programmed to obtain and analyze one or more images captured by an image sensor included in a wearable apparatus. The at least one processing device is further programmed to detect, by the analysis, a visual trigger in an environment of a wearer of the wearable apparatus. The visual trigger may be associated with a collaborative action to be taken. The at least one processing device may be further programmed to use the transceiver to transmit an indicator relating to the visual trigger associated with the collaborative action to be taken.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a camera, a display, a communication module, a memory, and a processor that is electrically connected to the camera, the display, the communication module, and the memory. The processor transmits an advertising signal including first identification (ID) information of the electronic device to a peripheral external device by using a first communication scheme, receives a response signal including second ID information of the external device by using the first communication scheme, and stores image data collected through the camera to the memory in connection with the second ID information when a first user input shooting an image is made.

Methods and systems are described herein for improved techniques for consuming and interacting with media content. Specifically, the media guidance application may generate holographic animations that move from a holographic structure from which a user has selected a media asset and direct the user to a display device capable of presenting the media asset. For example, in response to a user selecting a baseball movie from a holographic bookcase, the media guidance application may generate for display a holographic baseball that is thrown from the bookcase to a television that will present the baseball movie.

Digital information to be associated with a component can be generated and used to alter a digital model of the component. A line of sight to at least a portion of a marking device and the component can be detected, and at least one of an orientation or a position of an endpoint of the marking device relative to the component can be determined using the line of sight. Digital information indicative of the at least one of the orientation or the position of the endpoint relative to the component can be generated responsive to the endpoint of the marking device contacting the component. The digital information can be used to alter a digital model based on defects of the component corresponding to portions contacted by the endpoint of the marking device.

Methods, systems, and computer program products for pressure-based apparel image searching are provided herein. A computer-implemented method includes converting images in a product catalog of an electronic commerce website to a predetermined representation; storing the converted images in an index; determining a first object of interest within an image derived from a social media post and displayed on a screen, by detecting physical contact imparted by a user at a position on the screen corresponding to where the first object of interest is located; quantifying the amount of pressure applied by the user via the physical contact; determining additional objects of interest within the image based on the amount of pressure applied by the user; retrieving, from the index, images of products corresponding to the first object of interest and images of products corresponding to the additional objects of interest; and displaying the retrieved images on the screen.
