Event image curation
In embodiments of event image curation, a computing device includes memory that stores a collection of digital images associated with a type of event, such as a digital photo album of digital photos associated with the event, or a video of image frames and the video is associated with the event. A curation application implements a convolutional neural network, which receives the digital images and a designation of the type of event. The convolutional neural network can then determine an importance rating of each digital image within the collection of the digital images based on the type of the event. The importance rating of a digital image is representative of an importance of the digital image to a person in context of the type of the event. The convolutional neural network generates an output of representative digital images from the collection based on the importance rating of each digital image.
MAPPING IMAGES TO SEARCH QUERIES
Methods, systems, and apparatus for receiving a query image, receiving one or more entities that are associated with the query image, identifying, for one or more of the entities, one or more candidate search queries that are pre-associated with the one or more entities, generating a respective relevance score for each of the candidate search queries, selecting, as a representative search query for the query image, a particular candidate search query based at least on the generated respective relevance scores and providing the representative search query for output in response to receiving the query image.
METHODS FOR REQUESTING AND AUTHENTICATING PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGE DATA
A system and method include obtaining and authenticating image files from users such as insured users at the request of an entity such as an insurance provider. The requesting entity may supply an electronic address of the user and a unique identifier. The system may transmit a link to the electronic address. When selected, the link causes an image authentication application to be installed on a user device. The application takes the images securely and separately from a native camera application. Each image authentication application may be customized for each requesting entity. The authentication server may identify the requesting entity that made the request and identify a corresponding image authentication application to be provided to the electronic address. The images from the image authentication application may be authenticated via reverse image search, time, geolocation, and/or other information. The authenticated images and/or related data may be provided to the requesting entity.
GENERATING AND ORDERING TAGS FOR AN IMAGE USING SUBGRAPH OF CONCEPTS
Aspects include a system, computer program production and computer-implemented method for tagging an image. An image classification engine stored in a memory of a computer device generates a plurality of tags for the image and uses the plurality of tags to generate a relevance subgraph for the image. An embedding engine embeds nodes and edges of the relevance subgraph into fixed dimension vectors of a matrix. A neural network stored in the memory determines a feature vector from the image. A processor applies the feature vector to the matrix to generate a context vector for the image. The context vector is used to tag the image.
Authentication based on object recognition
Various systems, mediums, and methods herein describe aspects of an authentication system. The system may receive a request from a user device to authenticate a user. The system may determine a route travelled by the user. The route can be determined based at least on data retrieved from the user device of the user. The system may determine one or more objects viewable along the route. At least one image of the one or more objects can be selected. The system may communicate the at least one image and at least one other image to the user device to be displayed on the user device. The system may receive a selection of the at least one image by the user through a display of the user device. The authentication of the user can be based, at least in part, on the user selection of the at least one image.

System for tracking waste or recyclable material
Systems, methods and devices are provided for tracking and managing waste or recyclable materials, which may include one or more devices enabled to capture and record information about waste material at a point in a distribution chain, as well as information technology systems for collecting, processing, analyzing and otherwise managing information about a large number and variety of streams of waste material.
Method and system for selecting images based on user contextual information in response to search queries
According to one embodiment, a content item is received that was searched and identified based on a first set of one or more keywords determined based on a search query received from a client device over a network. A search is performed in an image store to identify a plurality of images based on the first set of keywords and a second set of one or more keywords associated with the content item. The images are ranked based on a user context obtained at a time when the search query was received. A composite content item is generated by incorporating an image selected from the ranked images with the content item, where the selected image is ranked above a predetermined threshold. The composite content item is transmitted to the client device over the network.
DEVICE FOR TRANSPORTING WASTE OR RECYCLABLE MATERIAL
The present disclosure describes a computer-implemented method for determining and reporting compliance with rules regarding discarded material from an originating site. The method may include obtaining, for each batch of a plurality of batches of discarded material, identification information of a respective originating site, capturing image data for each batch and associating the identification and image data. The identification and image data may be sent to a server having rules regarding the discarded material. The server may then determine data regarding compliance and generate a report including data regarding compliance with the rules regarding the discarded material for each originating site.
Contextual Image Presentation
There are provided contextual image presentation systems and methods. Such a system includes a hardware processor and a system memory having stored therein a contextual image generator including a data mapping module and a data visualization module. The contextual image generator receives social media data describing social media posts, determines a geographical location corresponding to at least some of the social media posts, and identifies a subject category corresponding respectively to each of the social media posts. In addition, the contextual image generator groups the social media posts into social media collections based on at least one of the subject category and the geographical location corresponding to each social media post. The contextual image generator further generates a contextual image that visually associates at least one of the social media collections with the subject category and/or the geographical location used to group that social media collection.
