ANTENNA DIRECTION ADJUSTMENT APPARATUS, ANTENNA DIRECTION ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM, AND METHOD THEREFOR
An antenna direction adjustment apparatus (10) according to the present invention includes: auxiliary unit (14) for an adjustment of a direction of an antenna; acquisition unit (11) configured to acquire first information related to a first radio communication apparatus, and second information related to a second radio communication apparatus configured to perform opposite radio communication with the first radio communication apparatus; determination unit (12) configured to determine whether a use license of the auxiliary unit (14) is valid based on a combination of the first information and the second information; and instruction unit (13) configured to provide an instruction to operate the auxiliary unit (14) when it is determined that the use license is valid. This configuration makes it possible to provide an antenna direction adjustment apparatus capable of appropriately limiting an adjustment of a direction of an antenna by a license.
3D Printer and Inventory Control and Distribution System for 3D Designs
A digital platform enables 3D printing where the designs are protected from piracy/redistribution. A single board computer (SBC) communicates with a first server and a second server. The SBC requests a unique hardware ID from the first server, which assigns and sends the ID to the SBC. The SBC submits the ID and a secret key to the second server to request registration of a user and a printer, and the second server sends private certs, a client ID, and a unique public identifier to the SBC. The second server also receives and stores 3D print designs through a designer portal, and on-demand displays the designs in a GUI screen. The SBC user may purchase a 3D print design, and the second server, in response, sends an access token to the SBC. The SBC redeems the access token for a selected 3D print, and the second server adjusts geode for the selected 3D design for the particular printer, and streams the adjusted geode to the printer through the SBC, thereby protecting the code from unauthorized user/replication.
Method and System for Detecting Pirated Video Network Traffic
A pirated video identification system for network operators to detect and identify both encrypted and unencrypted Internet protocol (IP) pirated video. The system uses ground truth data gathered from various video player clients as input to train a machine learning that then is used to analyze both real-time and historical IP flow data from a network to identify the IP addresses of both the source and destination of pirate video traffic on the network. They system can be used to aid in accurately measuring the volume and scale of pirated video traffic on a network as well as aiding in taking countermeasures against both the distributors and consumers of the pirated video.
Regulating access to content using a multitiered rule base
Access to a content selection may be regulated by accessing a medium associated with the content selection, identifying a profile associated with the medium, using the profile to analyze a content request with a multitiered rule base that includes two or more of a medium rule base, a media player rule base, and a host rule base, and enabling access to the content selection in accordance with one or more results of the analysis.
Device programming with system generation
A secure programming system and method for provisioning and programming a target payload into a programmable device mounted in a programmer. The programmable device can be authenticated before programming to verify the device is a valid device produced by a silicon vendor. The target payload can be programmed into the programmable device and linked with an authorized manufacturer. The programmable device can be verified after programming the target payload by verifying the silicon vendor and the authorized manufacturer.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING MULTIPLE BROADCASTERS INDEPENDENTLY USING A SINGLE CONDITIONAL ACCESS SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for brokering the enablement of the communication of encrypted media programs from a plurality of independent broadcasters to a plurality of receivers is disclosed. The system makes use of a pairing key for each provided service, which is differently encrypted by a pairing server and by the broadcaster providing the service. The encrypted versions of the pairing key are decrypted in a first receiver module using information known to the pairing service but not the broadcaster and in a second receiver module using information known to the broadcaster. The pairing key is used to cryptographically bind the first and second receiver modules.

ORDERING CONTENT BY MOBILE PHONE TO BE PLAYED ON CONSUMER DEVICES
A system (400), device (101) (202) (401-404) and method are provided to purchase, download and obtain transferable rights to play content using a mobile telephone. In an alternative embodiment, the mobile telephone is used to purchase content, which then is downloaded using other channels, i.e., a broadband using other consumer devices (202) (401-404) and played by these other devices (202) (401-404).
PLATFORM-IN-PLATFORM CONTENT DISTRIBUTION
A platform-in-platform (PIP) system allows for the access of multimedia content from different platforms on a single platform. The PIP system includes a first content platform configured to operate a PIP front-end module; a PIP back-end module configured to authenticate a user according to a user credential and to generate a session token in response to authenticating the user; and a content delivery back-end module configured to store multimedia content not available via the first content platform. The PIP front-end module is configured to provide a user credential to the
PIP back-end module, to receive the session token, and to provide the session token to the content delivery back-end module. The content delivery back-end module is configured to verify the session token and to provide access to the multimedia content to the PIP front-end module.
