Anti-theft mobile terminal and method for controlling the extraction of a memory card out from a mobile terminal
The disclosed technology relates to a mobile terminal adapted to receive a memory card comprising a processing unit, an input interface and a card locking actuator configured to lock the memory card into the mobile terminal. The card locking actuator is controlled by the processing unit. In one aspect, the card locking actuator is configured to be locked when the mobile terminal is switched on. In another aspect, the processing unit is configured to lock the screen until a screen unlocking authentication procedure is performed by a user at the input interface and is configured to command unlocking of the card locking actuator after detecting that a predetermined authentication procedure is performed by a user at the input interface.
Facilitating processing of a query on shareable data in a temporary vault
A method includes obtaining, by a consumer computing device of a data communication network, a temporary credential in accordance with a temporary credential protocol. The method continues with accessing, by the consumer computing device, a temporary vault in accordance with the temporary credential, where the temporary vault stores or is to store a set of shareable data records. The method continues with facilitating, by the consumer computing device, execution of a data analysis function on the set of shareable data records to produce an analytical result. The method continues with receiving, by the consumer computing device from the temporary vault, the analytical result. The method continues with storing, by the consumer computing device, the analytical result in memory associated with the user computing device.

Screen-analysis based device security
Systems and methods are provided for a content-based security for computing devices. An example method includes identifying content rendered by a mobile application, the content being rendered during a session, generating feature vectors from the content and determining that the feature vectors do not match a classification model. The method also includes providing, in response to the determination that the feature vectors do not match the classification model, a challenge configured to authenticate a user of the mobile device. Another example method includes determining a computing device is located at a trusted location, capturing information from a session, the information coming from content rendered by a mobile application during the session, generating feature vectors for the session, and repeating this until a training criteria is met. The method also includes training a classification model using the feature vectors and authenticating a user of the device using the trained classification model.
Authentication translation
Authentication translation is disclosed. A request to access a resource is received at an authentication translator, as is an authentication input. The authentication input corresponds to at least one stored record. The stored record is associated at least with the resource. In response to the receiving, a previously stored credential associated with the resource is accessed. The credential is provided to the resource.

Image processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium for handling different kinds of processes
An image processing apparatus includes an authenticating unit, a first communication interface, a second communication interface, an image forming unit, and a managing unit. The first communication interface is disposed for communication with an external apparatus, the second communication interface differs from the first communication interface and can connect to an external apparatus if a predetermined requirement for operation is satisfied. The image forming unit forms an image on a medium in accordance with an execution instruction received from an external apparatus via the first communication interface or the second communication interface. The managing unit handles one process performed by the image forming unit separately from the image forming unit.

Encoding a key touch on a device
A method, system, and computer program product for encoding a key touch on a device. The method may include detecting a key touch at one of two of more subareas of a key area and encoding the detected key touch into one code of a plurality of codes. Each code may be associated with one key area and one subarea of the key area. The method may perform an operation to determine whether to authorize access to a resource by determining whether the code, at least in part, authorizes the access. The key area may be marked with an indicia. The two or more subareas of the key area may be unmarked and may be of equal size. The key area may be divided into the two or more subareas by specifying two or more subregions of sensor pixels of a region of sensor pixels of a touch-sensitive screen.
