SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TARGETED NEUROLOGICAL THERAPY USING BRAINWAVE ENTRAINMENT
A system and method for brainwave entrainment therapy that allows for targeted treatment of particular areas of the brain, particular neurological functions, particular neurological states, and combinations of areas, functions, and states. The system and method receive a neurological assessment identifying areas of the brain or neurological functions to be treated, select one or more treatment modalities and frequencies, select a treatment regimen, and apply brainwave entrainment using the modalities, frequencies and regimen while the subject engages in dual-task activities selected to stimulate the areas of the brain, neurological functions, or neurological states to be treated, enhanced, or altered.
RECOIL MOUNT FOR USAGE WITH WEAPONS IN A VIRTUAL REALITY SYSTEM
A recoil mount for a virtual reality tracker comprising a resonator that is situated in between a one or more dampers, the one or more dampers each including a strut that is coupled to opposing sides of the resonator, a tracker interface coupled to the resonator, the tracker interface adaptable with a virtual reality tracker, and a pair of fasteners that mount the one or more dampers to a weapon mounting surface.
Control apparatus and control program
An apparatus includes a housing having a holding portion for gripping by a hand of a user; a manipulation block having a first side that includes at least one of: (i) one or more pressable buttons, and (ii) a stick button, and having a second side that includes a trigger button; and at least one of: (i) a thumb sensor block, located proximate to the first side of the manipulation block, and operable to detect the presence of the thumb of the hand of the user when the holding portion is gripped by the user, (ii) a first finger sensor, located on the trigger button, and operable to detect the presence of the at least one finger of the hand of the user when the holding portion is gripped by the user, and (iii) a second finger sensor, located proximate to both the second side of the manipulation block and the holding portion of the housing, and operable to detect the presence of at least one of a middle finger, a ring finger, and a pinky finger of the hand of the user when the holding portion is gripped by the user.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS FOR ENHANCED PRESENTATION REMOTES
In accordance with some embodiments, systems, apparatus, interfaces, methods, and articles of manufacture are provided for ascertaining aspects of a presentation and/or of an audience member. A presentation remote can be used to obtain information about the presentation and provide it to the audience member.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTHORING IMMERSIVE HAPTIC EXPERIENCE USING SPECTRAL CENTROID
Disclosed is a method and system of authoring an audio signal to produce an immersive haptic experience. The method and system preprocesses the audio signal in a preprocessor, which is passed to an audio analysis module. The audio analysis module processes the audio signal for a to produce (a) an array of time amplitude values, and (b) an array of spectral centroid values. In another implementation, the audio analysis module transforms the audio signal using Fourier transformation to produce an array of time amplitude frequency values and an array of spectral centroid values. The array of time amplitude values and the array of spectral centroid values are passed to an authoring tool. A user can modify the array of time amplitude values, the array of timer frequency values and the array of spectral centroid values to adjust the audio signal.
DECODING DEVICE, DECODING METHOD, PROGRAM, ENCODING DEVICE, AND ENCODING METHOD
An object is to reduce the amount of data to be transmitted while ensuring tactile reproducibility. A decoding device according to the present technology includes: a first decoding unit that decodes first encoded data obtained by encoding a first signal section with a first bit rate, the first signal section being a part of a touch signal section which is a signal section indicating a touch state with an object in a tactile signal, the first signal section being a signal section including a boundary between the touch state and a non-touch state with the object; and a second decoding unit that decodes second encoded data obtained by encoding a second signal section with a bit rate lower than the first bit rate, the second signal section being a signal section except for the first signal section in the touch signal section.
Systems and methods for haptically-enabled holders
One illustrative system disclosed herein includes a processor configured to: receive a signal; determine a haptic effect based at least in part on the signal; and transmit a haptic signal associated with the haptic effect. The system further includes a haptic output device in communication with the processor and coupled to a holder, wherein the holder is configured to mechanically couple with an electronic device. The haptic output device is configured to receive the haptic signal and output the haptic effect.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INDUCING SOMATIC SENSE USING AIR PLASMA AND INTERFACE DEVICE USING THEM
A system and method for generating air plasma by radiating a laser in the air, and making a user feel a somatic sense such as a tactile sense, a thermal sense or the like using a principle of inducing a state change in a medium as a result of a shock wave or an electric field generated by the air plasma.
RENDERING A HAPTIC EFFECT WITH INTRA-DEVICE MIXING
Rendering haptic effects on at least one of a first haptic actuator or a second haptic actuator based on a state of a trigger. In response, the haptic effects are optimized to reflect game play.
PROGRAMMABLE ACTUATION INPUTS OF AN ACCESSORY AND METHODS THEREOF
A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, a processor that performs operations including detecting a first depression range of a button that includes an electro-mechanical sensor for detecting the first depression range, comparing the first depression range to a first actuation threshold, and asserting a first actuation state when the first depression range is at or exceeds the first actuation threshold. Additional embodiments are disclosed.
