Adjustable pointing device
Methods and apparatus provide for an adjustable pointing device. The adjustable pointing device includes a base and an adjustable arm connecting a portion of the base with an input control portion. The input control portion includes at least one input control. A first end of the adjustable arm, which is distal from the base, allows for and independently maintains changes to various orientations of the input control portion. In other words, after the user adjusts the input control portion to be set at a new orientation, the first end of the adjustable arm maintains the input control portion at the new orientation as the user interacts with the adjustable pointing device. In addition, a second end of the adjustable arm, proximal to the base, also allows for and independently maintains changes in a distance between the input control portion and the base itself.

REMOTE OPERATION DEVICE
A remote operation device includes a first operation acceptance portion provided as a mechanism to accept an operation from an outside and having a rotary dial supported in a displaceable and rotatable manner, a second operation acceptance portion formed of a touch panel provided on an outer surface of the rotary dial, and a control portion. The control portion accepts displacement of the rotary dial from a preliminarily determined neutral position as one operation from the outside, accepts a rotation angle of the rotary dial as one operation from the outside, and accepts an operation on the second operation acceptance portion as one operation from the outside. The control portion operates an in-vehicle device by remote control by transmitting contents of accepted operations to the in-vehicle device.
Mouse user interface with configurable components
A mouse configured to be used as a user interface with a computing device. The mouse may include an arm component, a body component coupled to a first part of the arm component, and a wheel component coupled to a second part of the arm component.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, DISPLAY METHOD THEREFOR, AND COMPUTER-EXECUTABLE PROGRAM
An information processing apparatus includes a first display unit and a second display unit, a processor, and a memory that stores code executable by the processor. The code controls a screen display of the first display unit and a screen display of the second display unit, detects an instruction to slide a screen display of at least one of the first display unit and the second display unit, and slide the screen display of at least one of the first display unit and the second display unit in response to detecting the instruction.
COMPUTER MOUSE HAVING INTERCHANGEABLE MODULES ADAPTABLE TO LEFT/RIGHT HAND USE
A computer mouse includes a mouse body, a first input unit, and a second input unit. The mouse body includes a first joint portion and a second joint portion, and the first joint portion and the second joint portion are symmetrically arranged with respect to one another. The first input unit includes a first base and a first button disposed on the first base. The second input unit includes a second base and a second button disposed on the second base. The shape of the first base is corresponding to that of the first joint portion and the shape of the second base is corresponding to that of the second joint portion such that the first input unit and the second input unit are interchangeably respectively disposed on the first joint portion and the second joint.

The primary (12) and secondary mouse button (14) and scroll means (16) is being so arranged interrelated that the primary mouse button (12) is located between the scroll means (16) and the secondary mouse button (14). The secondary mouse button is preferably substantially vertically placed and made of a material or coated with a coating that gives increased friction.
Input device assembly with support pad
An input device assembly with a support pad is provided. The input device assembly includes the support pad and an input device. The support pad includes a first main body and a first magnetic attraction element. The first main body has a first bottom surface and a first curvy surface. The input device includes a second main body and at least one second magnetic attraction element. The second main body has a second bottom surface and a second curvy surface. The first curvy surface of the support pad is contactable with one of plural portions of the second curvy surface of the input device. The first magnetic attraction element and one of the at least one second magnetic attraction element are magnetically attracted by each other. Consequently, the support pad is in close contact with the input device.
REMOTE OPERATION DEVICE
A remote operation device includes a first operation acceptance portion having a rotary dial, a second operation acceptance portion provided along an outer periphery of the rotary dial and allowed to rotate separately from the rotary dial, and a control portion. When a relative position of a user's hand with respect to the first operation acceptance portion is at a covered position, the control portion switches the first operation acceptance portion and the second operation acceptance portion to a locked state and accepts an operation on the first operation acceptance portion. When the relative position of the user's hand with respect to the first operation acceptance portion is at an uncovered position, the control portion switches the first operation acceptance portion and the second operation acceptance portion to an unlocked state and accepts an operation on the second acceptance portion.
