Systems and methods are described for generating a virtual environment including at least one three-dimensional virtual object within a user interface provided in a head mounted display device, detecting a first interaction pattern and a second interaction pattern. In response to detecting the second interaction pattern, a modified version of the three-dimensional virtual object at the first virtual feature is generated according to the first interaction pattern and at the second virtual feature according to the second interaction pattern. The modified version of the three-dimensional virtual object is provided in the user interface in the head mounted display device.

COMMUNICATION METHOD, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, SENSOR CONTROLLER, AND STYLUS
20170308186 · 2017-10-26 ·

A sensor controller can be used with both a first stylus that operates in a first communication mode and a second stylus that operates in a second communication mode. The sensor controller performs a dual mode discovery process in which a first discovery process and a second discovery process are alternately performed. During the first discovery process, the sensor controller transmits a search signal for detecting the first stylus. During the second discovery process, the sensor controller performs processing to detect a signal transmitted by the second stylus. When a response to the search signal that is transmitted by the first stylus is detected, an operating mode of the sensor controller is determined to be the first mode. When the signal transmitted by second stylus is detected, the operating mode of the sensor controller is determined to be the second mode.

Modular apparatus and system for reconfigurable user inputs

The present disclosure relates to a modular apparatus and system for providing customized, reconfigurable user inputs. In an aspect, there is provided a modular apparatus comprising a plurality of reconfigurable Input Modules with different types of user inputs, such as buttons, sliders, knobs, joysticks, trackballs, touch pads, touch screens, and other types of user interfaces. The Input Modules may be physically interconnected to a Master Module which is adapted to communicate with each Input Module and to a System Controller Application running on a connected computing device. The Input Modules are reconfigurable into any number of different physical layouts. The Master Module determines the physical layout of the connected Input Modules, and communicates the layout to the System Controller Application. The function of each Input Module is then programmed via the System Controller Application and the Master Module for performing specific functions in a compatible computer application.

Active stylus communication with a digitizer

A method includes detecting presence of a handheld device in proximity of a touch enabled device and negotiating communication capabilities between the handheld device and a digitizer system of the touch enabled device. At least one of the handheld device and the digitizer system is configured to match a defined communication capability of the other of the at least one of the handheld device and digitizer system. Input from the handheld device is tracked via an electrostatic communication channel between the handheld device and the digitizer system based on the defined communication configuration.

PAIR OF KEYBOARD/MOUSE GLOVES AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

The present disclosure relates to a pair of keyboard/mouse gloves and a control method thereof, where the pair of keyboard/mouse gloves include a left-handed keyboard/mouse glove and a right-handed keyboard/mouse glove that are matched for use and have a same structure, a glove body, a control chip, a plurality of sensor groups, and a display. The sensor group is disposed inside the glove body and respectively sleeved on each finger, and the sensor groups are connected to the control chip after being connected to each other through a data communication line. The control chip receives a single signal or a signal combo from each sensor group for key position analysis, and transmits a key position analysis result to the display for display.

System, Method and Device for Designing, Manufacturing, and Monitoring Custom Human-Interfacing Devices

A system, method and device employs sensor arrangements and an e-system in designing, manufacturing, and monitoring custom human-interfacing devices.

Communication system, electronic device and communication method

A communication system is provided. The communication system includes a main electronic device and an auxiliary electronic device. The auxiliary electronic device would send a connection sound wave signal. When the main electronic device receives the connection sound wave signal, the main electronic device sends a positioning signal. When the auxiliary electronic device receives the positioning signal, the auxiliary electronic device sends a positioning sound wave signal to the main electronic device. Moreover, the main electronic device determines a relative position of the auxiliary electronic device and the main electronic device according to the positioning sound wave signal, and displays an operating icon on a display unit of the main electronic device according to the relative position.

Passive Chopsticks Stylus System for Capacitive Touch Screens

A method, chopstick stylus apparatus, and a chopstick stylus interfacing system provides both single stylus functionality and dual stylus functionality corresponding to specific touch screen interactions with the chopstick stylus apparatus. A dual stylus detection module (DSDM) executing on a processor of a touch screen computing device receives and/or causes the processor to receive input values that correspond to information representing touch screen interactions detected using a touch screen sensor. The DSDM determines, from the received input values, at least one matching signature from among a plurality of interaction signatures corresponding to different touch screen interactions that can be provided via a chopstick stylus apparatus. The DSDM is able to identify both individual stylus interactions and dual stylus interactions, based on a corresponding matching signature(s). The DSDM provides a response of the electronic device to the identified touch screen interactions based on the matching signature(s).
