DETERMINING A DISTANCE TO AN INPUT DEVICE
Examples are disclosed that relate to methods and computing devices for determining a distance of an input device from a surface of a computing device. In one example, a method comprises receiving a plurality of input device signals via the input device. A portion of the input device signals are used to determine an effective voltage of the input device. Adjusted input device signals are generated by adjusting another portion of input device signals using the effective voltage of the input device. The method further comprises providing the adjusted input device signals as an input to a distance model, and receiving and outputting the distance of the input device from the surface of the computing device.

VARIABLE ELECTROSTIMULATIVE BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION
A method for variable electrostimulative behavior modification includes sensing placement of a first anatomical portion of a body in contact to a surface of a target object adapted for behavior modification with a multiplicity of electrostimulative end points coupled to an energy source. The method additionally includes delivering an electrical neurostimulus through one of the end points nearest to the placement of the first anatomical portion in proximity to the surface the electrical neurostimulus including a waveform promoting a modification of behavior associated with the placement of the first anatomical portion in proximity to the surface. Thereafter, an anomalous characteristic of the sensed placement indicating a failure to modify the behavior may be detected and a profile of the waveform of the electrical neurostimulus changes to a different waveform in response to the anomalous characteristic of the sensed placement.
RANGING METHOD AND APPARATUS THEREOF, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND TERMINAL DEVICE
A ranging method and an apparatus thereof, a storage medium, and a terminal device. By adding a processing unit into a hardware abstraction layer of the terminal device, a software method is thus used to replace a physical proximity sensor (Psensor); in addition, costs are effectively reduced.
DEVICE FOR DETECTING AND ACTIVE INPUT
A display device includes a display panel and an input sensor. The input sensor may include a first sensing electrode, a signal line electrically connected to a first terminal of the first sensing electrode, a first line at least partially overlapping the first sensing electrode and extending in the same direction as the first sensing electrode in the active area, and a first switching element defining a first current path in the first sensing electrode and the first line or blocking the first current path.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DISPLAYING DATA ON A DISPLAY SCREEN, RELATED DISPLAY SYSTEM, VEHICLE AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
An electronic device for displaying data on a display screen, the device being connectable to the display screen and to an image sensor, the image sensor being operable to capture at least two images of a user. The electronic device includes: a module for displaying data, in particular icons, on the display screen; a module for detecting, via the at least two images taken, a movement towards the screen by at least one finger of the user, and then for calculating a direction of the movement; a module for determining, from a page displayed on the screen and depending on the direction of movement, an area of the screen corresponding to the direction; and a module for controlling an enlargement of the area when the at least one finger approaches the screen.
A CONTACTLESS TOUCHSCREEN INTERFACE
A contactless touchscreen interface has a digital display to display digital information; the proximity detector and a proximity detector comprising an image sensor to detect user interaction at a virtual touch intersection plane offset a distance from the digital display and to resolve the interaction into XY offset-plane interaction coordinates with reference to the digital display. A gaze determining imaging system comprising an image sensor determines a gaze relative offset with respect to the digital display using facial image data captured by the image sensor. An interface controller comprising a parallax adjustment controller to convert the XY offset-plane interaction coordinates to XY on-screen apparent coordinates using the gaze relative offset and the distance and an input controller generates an input at the XY on-screen apparent coordinates accordingly.
Device with integrated health, safety, and security functions
A device with integrated functions related to health, safety, and security is provided. The device may include a memory, a battery, a cellular radio, a global positioning sensor (GPS), and an accelerometer. The device may further include a touch screen for displaying at least health, safety, and security related information and for detecting touch events, where the touch screen is configurable to be in a locked state and an unlocked state. Instructions, stored in the memory, may cause the device to detect, using at least the accelerometer, whether a wearer of the device has fallen and communicate information concerning detection of the fall to instructions, stored in the memory, where the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the device to determine whether the fall is an emergency event, and perform other functions. The device may be implemented as a smart phone or a smart watch.
Data processing device and driving method thereof for a flexible touchscreen device accepting input on the front, rear and sides
A data processing device which includes a flexible position input portion for sensing proximity or a touch of an object such as a user's palm and finger. In the case where a first region of the flexible position input portion is held by a user for a certain period, supply of image signals to the first region is selectively stopped.
