SPLIT-SCREEN DISPLAY IMPLEMENTATION IN COMPUTING DEVICE
20230236720 · 2023-07-27 ·

Introduced here are split-screen implementation techniques that can allow a user to view and interact with the user interfaces of two or more applications simultaneously. Each of the two or more applications can be displayed within its own portion of two or more portions. A split-screen mode can be activated by a user by opening a split-screen application and selecting the applications to be used. Once within the split-screen mode, the user can customize the layout by adjusting the size of each portion and/or moving the application between the portions. Further, when within the split-screen mode, the user can share content from one application to another by selecting and dragging the content. The split-screen mode can also be implemented on a foldable device. The folding of the device can be used as a trigger to initiate split screen mode and the folding line can be used a border between portions.

Disclosed herein is a computing system that includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The memory storing processor executable instructions for an interface engine that integrates robotic processes into a graphic user interface of the computing system. The processor executes the interface engine to cause the computing device to receive inputs via a menu of the graphic user interface and to automatically determine the robotic processes for display in response to the inputs. The interface engine further generates a list including selectable links corresponding to the robotic processes and displays the list in association with the menu.

Methods and Electronic Devices Enabling a Dual Content Presentation Mode of Operation

A method in an electronic device comprises detecting, with one or more sensors, a geometry or geometric form factor of the electronic device. One or more processors then enable, in response to detecting the geometric form factor, a dual content presentation mode of operation allowing presentation of first content on a first display of the electronic device and second content on a second display where the first content and the second content are different.

MOVING CONTENT BETWEEN A VIRTUAL DISPLAY AND AN EXTENDED REALITY ENVIRONMENT

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media including instructions for extracting content from a virtual display are disclosed. Extracting content from a virtual display includes generating a virtual display via a wearable extended reality appliance, wherein the virtual display presents a group of virtual objects and is located at a first virtual distance from the wearable extended reality appliance; generating an extended reality environment via the wearable extended reality appliance including at least one additional virtual object at a second virtual distance from the wearable extended reality appliance; receiving input for causing a specific virtual object to move from the virtual display to the extended reality environment; and in response, generating a presentation of a version of the specific virtual object in the extended reality environment at a third virtual distance different from the first virtual distance and the second virtual distance.

DASHBOARD WITH RELATIONSHIP GRAPHING

Data on entities and how they are associated with other entities may be aggregated from multiple sources and reconciled. The aggregated data may be presented in a dashboard with a graphical user interface (GUI) that represents entities (e.g., nodes) and associations (e.g., edges) as distinguishable graphical elements that are individually selectable. Different nodes/edges may have distinct graphical representations that correspond with certain characteristics of the nodes/edges. The dashboard may include multiple dynamically-updated panes that may be populated with different information depending on a user's interaction with the GUI and/or depending on information received from various sources. A first entity's connection to or involvement in certain activities may be more readily understood by interactively examining not just the first entity's relationship with a second entity, but also the second entity's relationship with a third entity which is not directly related to the first entity.

This application provides a card sharing method, an electronic device, and a communications system. The method includes: displaying an interface of a first application in response to a first operation of a user, where a first card is displayed on the interface of the first application, the first card includes a first card module and a second card module, and interface resources of the first card are provided by a second application; sending a second message to a third application in response to a second operation of the user, where the second operation is associated with the first card module, and the second message includes an identifier of the first card module; and displaying an interface of the third application, where the first card module is displayed on the interface of the third application, and interface resources of the first card module are provided by a fourth application.

Input device and user interface interactions

In some embodiments, a device displays functionality information in response to receiving an indication of a first input for which a contact meets functionality display criteria. In some embodiments, a device generates a user interface that includes a navigation bar including images from different positions in a respective content item, and a representation of an adjacent content item. In some embodiments, a device moves a selection-indicator in a user interface by a predefined amount in response to receiving an indication of a first input that meets unitary movement criteria. In some embodiments, a device interprets movement of a contact of an input based at least in part on a grip of a user. In some embodiments, a device displays a plurality of character selection options when a text entry field is not tolerant of character ambiguity and a first input corresponds to a plurality of candidate characters.

Electronic device and method for the electronic device to navigate between windows

An electronic device includes a display and a processor configured to detect a first gesture in a predefined area of the display while a first window is currently displayed in full screen on the display and upon detection of the first gesture instruct the display to display a gallery of previously opened windows, and detect a second gesture in the predefined area on the display. The second gesture is a movement along the display. The processor is further configured to instruct the display to scroll based on the movement through the gallery.

Displaying interfaces in different display areas based on activities

An electronic device includes a first application. The electronic device detects a first operation. The electronic device displays, in a landscape orientation state, a first interface of the first application in a first area of a display screen of the electronic device in response to the first operation.
