Information input apparatus
An information input apparatus including a user interface that detects a first input operation and a processor that assigns information to each of a plurality of directions from a position centered at the first input operation detected by the user interface. The user interface detects a second input operation corresponding to one of the plurality of directions, and the processor selects information assigned to the one of the plurality of directions as an input.
Portable device and controlling method therefor
A portable device including a stylus unit, which is an input means for the portable device; a housing unit configured to accommodate the stylus unit; a sensor unit configured to sense a pulled out length of the stylus unit from the housing unit and a rotation angle of the stylus unit; and a processor configured to display a menu interface corresponding to the pulled out length of the stylus unit when the stylus unit is pulled out from the housing unit.
User terminal device and method for controlling the user terminal device thereof
A user terminal device and a control method are provided. The user terminal device includes a display, a sensor configured to sense a user interaction on the display, and a controller configured to, in response to a user interaction being sensed by the sensor of a touch being made by an input device of a polyhedral shape that includes different touch patterns on each of a plurality of surfaces, control a function of the user terminal device according to a touch pattern on a touched surface among the plurality of surfaces.
Information processing device
The information processing device includes a display panel, a touch panel, a controller, and a storage. The display panel includes a first area and a second area. When a drawing operation on the first area is received, the controller displays an image based on the drawing operation in the first area. The controller performs second processing and third processing. The second processing corresponds to processing of storing a reproduction target image displayed in the first area and a reduced image of the reproduction target image in the storage, when a specific type of operation excluding the drawing operation is received on the touch panel, and displaying the reduced image in the second area. The third processing corresponds to processing of displaying, when an operation of selecting the reduced image is received on the touch panel, the reproduction target image corresponding to the selected reduced image in the first area.
QUICK LAUNCHER USER INTERFACE
Methods executed by a processor of computing device for launching a selected application on a computing device are disclosed. Various embodiments may include authorizing a user based on a fingerprint of a finger detected on a fingerprint sensor portion of a touchscreen display matching a fingerprint of an authorized user of the computing device, determining a selected application installed on the computing device from a selective engagement of the finger on the touchscreen display, continuous from the fingerprint sensor portion, which provides an indication of a user selection of an application, and unlocking the selected application in response to the selective engagement of the finger on the touchscreen display. In some embodiments, selection of an application may be based a continuous swipe movement by the finger on the touchscreen display from the fingerprint sensor portion toward an icon on the touchscreen display representing the selected application.
DOCKABLE APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATICALLY-INITIATED CONTROL OF EXTERNAL DEVICES
An apparatus including a display, an antenna, and processing circuitry that receives, via the antenna, a near-field communication data packet from an antenna of a secondary device, the near-field communication data packet including information regarding a functional type of the secondary device, and updates graphics of the display based on the functional type of the secondary device.
METHOD, APPARATUS, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM FOR TRANSMISSION OF FILES OVER A WEB SOCKET CONNECTION IN A NETWORKED COLLABORATION WORKSPACE
A system, method and computer-readable medium for transmission of files over a web socket connection in a networked collaboration workspace, including transmitting a representation of a collaboration workspace hosted on a server and accessible to participants over a web socket connection, the representation of the collaboration workspace comprising remote participant objects corresponding to remote computing devices connected to the server, generating one or more live folders corresponding to the remote participant objects, each live folder being mapped to a network address of a remote computing device corresponding to the remote participant object, detecting a user input to drag an icon corresponding to a file proximate to a remote participant object, and storing the at least one file in a live folder corresponding to the remote participant object to thereby transmit the at least one file to the network address of the remote computing device over the web socket connection.
Use of sensors in electronic pens to execution functions
In one aspect, a device may include at least one processor and storage accessible to the at least one processor. The storage may include instructions executable by the at least one processor to receive, from a stylus, at least one transmission indicating movement of the stylus. The instructions may also be executable to take, based on the at least one transmission, at least one action at the device. The stylus itself may include one or more motion sensors to sense the movement.
System and Method of Providing Digital Ink Optimized User Interface Elements
A method of and system for providing a user interface (UI) element is carried out by receiving an input for invoking the UI element in a UI screen, the input being received via a writing instrument, determining a direction of tilt of the writing instrument at a point of input, and upon determining the direction of tilt of the writing instrument, displaying the UI element in a location on the UI screen that is a direction opposite to the determined direction of tilt of the writing instrument. The UI element may provide access to each of the UI controls via a plurality of unstructured paths.
HANDWRITING ENTRY ON AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
In some embodiments, an electronic device receives handwritten inputs in text entry fields and converts the handwritten inputs into font-based text. In some embodiments, an electronic device selects and deletes text based on inputs from a stylus. In some embodiments, an electronic device inserts text into pre-existing text based on inputs from a stylus. In some embodiments, an electronic device manages the timing of converting handwritten inputs into font-based text. In some embodiments, an electronic device presents a handwritten entry menu. In some embodiments, an electronic device controls the characteristic of handwritten inputs based on selections on the handwritten entry menu. In some embodiments, an electronic device presents autocomplete suggestions. In some embodiments, an electronic device converts handwritten input to font-based text. In some embodiments, an electronic device displays options in a content entry palette.
