An information processing apparatus includes a display unit; a touch panel configured to detect a touch position at which a touch operation is performed on the display unit; a function setting module configured to set at least one area of a first area functioning as a touch screen and a second area functioning as a precision touch pad with respect to a touch panel area where the touch panel is formed; and a polling rate setting module configured to raise a polling rate in an area where the second area is set in the touch panel area when the second area is set for the touch panel area.

Method for browsing application folder and electronic device

A method for browsing an application folder includes detecting a first touch operation on a touchscreen of an electronic device, in response to the first touch operation, displaying a first user interface, where the first user interface is a setting screen of a first application program, where the first user interface includes a folder control, detecting a second touch operation on the folder control, and in response to the second touch operation, displaying a second user interface on the touchscreen, where the second user interface is a content details screen of the folder corresponding to the first application program.

Information processing device displaying database image in first display region and partial enlarged image in second display region
11609732 · 2023-03-21 · ·

In an information processing device, a controller displays a database image in a first display region on a display at a first display scale. The database image represents at least partial data included in a database. The controller receives a specific operation, and displays a partial enlarged image, in a second display region on the display at a second display scale greater than the first display scale in response to reception of the specific operation. The partial enlarged image corresponds to an extraction image in a partial extraction region in the database image and is an enlarged image of the extraction image so that the partial enlarged image is displayed in the second display region at the second display scale. The second display region overlaps at most a portion of the first display region. The controller generates print data including at least partial data included in the database.

Systems and Methods for Identifying a Set of Characters in a Media File

The illustrative embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for notifying a user when a set of characters are identified in a media file. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a set of characters inputted by the user of a computing device, playing the media file, transcribing the media file to form a transcription, and determining whether the transcription of the media file includes the set of characters. The method also includes initiating a notification prompt on a graphical user interface of the computing device in response to determining that the media file includes the set of characters.

Multitouch data fusion
11481109 · 2022-10-25 · ·

A method for performing multi-touch (MT) data fusion is disclosed in which multiple touch inputs occurring at about the same time are received to generating first touch data. Secondary sense data can then be combined with the first touch data to perform operations on an electronic device. The first touch data and the secondary sense data can be time-aligned and interpreted in a time-coherent manner. The first touch data can be refined in accordance with the secondary sense data, or alternatively, the secondary sense data can be interpreted in accordance with the first touch data. Additionally, the first touch data and the secondary sense data can be combined to create a new command.

Gesture mapping for image filter input parameters

This disclosure pertains to systems, methods, and computer readable medium for mapping particular user interactions, e.g., gestures, to the input parameters of various image processing routines, e.g., image filters, in a way that provides a seamless, dynamic, and intuitive experience for both the user and the software developer. Such techniques may handle the processing of both “relative” gestures, i.e., those gestures having values dependent on how much an input to the device has changed relative to a previous value of the input, and “absolute” gestures, i.e., those gestures having values dependent only on the instant value of the input to the device. Additionally, inputs to the device beyond user-input gestures may be utilized as input parameters to one or more image processing routines. For example, the device's orientation, acceleration, and/or position in three-dimensional space may be used as inputs to particular image processing routines.

METHOD OF DISPLAYING APPLICATIONS ON SPLIT-SCREEN, STORAGE MEDIUM AND ELECTRIC DEVICE
20230082360 · 2023-03-16 ·

An application screen splitting method and apparatus, a storage medium and an electronic device. The method comprises: displaying a multi-task interface, in which at least two applications are presented in the interface in a card mode (S101); receiving a first operation for the at least two applications in the multi-task interface (S102); and in response to the first operation, displaying the at least two split-screen applications on a current display interface in a split-screen mode (S103). The method can simplify the steps of application screen splitting, thereby improving the efficiency of application screen splitting.

Using pressure sensor data in a remote access environment
11481104 · 2022-10-25 · ·

Described herein are methods and systems that use pressure sensor data as a basis for performing one or more operations in a remote access environment. For example, a device may be configured with one or more pressure sensors that, based on a user's press, may generate pressure sensor data indicating an amount of force being applied by the user's press. The pressure sensor data may be used, in accordance with the various embodiments and variations described herein, to cause one or more operations to be performed by an enterprise resource or an enterprise service. In some embodiments, the one or more operations may be performed by an application or an operating system executing in the remote access environment. Some non-limiting examples of the types of operations that may be performed include a change to a font characteristic and a change to a text characteristic.
