EXTRUDED NIB DESIGN FOR AUTOMOTIVE FLOOR MATS
A floor mat and a method of forming thereof, wherein the floor mat includes a backing layer embossed to provide a plurality of nibs extending from a surface of the backing layer while the backing layer remains molten. Each of the nibs is tiered, including a frusto-conical base and a tip extending from the frusto-conical base, the nibs having a maximum diameter in the range of 0.5 to 3.0 mm and an overall height in the range of 1.5 mm to 5 mm. In addition, each nib is located within a column and a row and is offset from at least one other nib present in the column and at least one other nib present in the row.
Movement-Resistant Floor Mat
A floor mat made of a rubber sheet having a top surface and a bottom surface with spaced-apart lugs extending therefrom, each lug having a pair of opposing nibs spaced-apart to define a passage therebetween with a longitudinal axis in a selected direction and the selected direction different from the direction of the longitudinal axis of the passage in an adjacent lug, which lugs cooperatively resist movement of the mat in response to loading by foot and wheeled cart traffic across the floor mat disposed on a floor surface.
METHOD FOR MAKING A SLIP RESISTANT MAT
A method for making a slip resistant mat can include assembling parts with predetermined geometries to form a mold that can be used for making slip resistant mats that have channels to account for moisture between the mat and the floor. The unique geometries of the parts which form the mold can be manufactured efficiently and with reduced costs. The mold of this invention can be used to make slip resistant mats with channels that can both dissipate water and offer a high degree of mat to floor surface contact.

MULTI-PIECE RUG AND MAT ARRANGEMENT AND ASSEMBLY FOR FORMING A FLOOR COVERING
A multi-piece floor arrangement and assembly forms a floor covering that includes a top, or upper, rug portion and bottom, or lower, mat portion, and pocketed corner areas in each corner of an underside surface of the rug portion into which corresponding corners of the mat portion are insertable. The pocketed corner areas secure the rug portion with the mat portion when both are placed on an underlying surface while enabling a flow of air between the rug portion and the mat portion. The mat portion includes multiple interlocking sections that help to maintain the floor covering in a uniform planar shape and provide an aesthetically-pleasing appearance when placed on an underlying surface. The multi-piece arrangement and assembly does not move relative to that surface, yet does not require either a cumbersome installation or removal process.
FOAM MAT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A FOAM MAT
Foam edge waste may be shredded or ground into foam particles rather than discarding them. The particles may be mixed with an adhesive and subject to high temperature and high pressure to form into new foam bodies with configurable densities. Utilizing discarded foam sections this way reduces the waste of foam, reduces environmental pollution caused by foam waste combustion, offers more environmental protection and saves resources. The resulting foam articles have reduced water retention and provide superior comfort by making a foam with consistent properties from inconsistent materials.
CARPET AND ADHERED CARPET PAD FROM RECYCLED CARPET
The present invention relates to a carpet or carpet tile made with a pad adhered to a facecloth. The pad may be formed from light particles that would otherwise be considered waste when a carpet is ground and elutriated. The particles may comprise short fibers, any dust and dirt that had not been cleaned from the carpet prior to grinding, and some particles of an adhesive. The adhesive used to adhere the pad to the face cloth may be a latex or a polymeric adhesive. The heavy particles from the elutriation may be used as a filler in the adhesive.

Non-slip Mat and Its Production System and Method
The present invention discloses a non-slip mat and its production system and method used to produce non-slip mats. The non-slip mat is composed of a surface layer, a substrate, and a suction cup. There is a hot melt unit, a pressing unit, and a positioning unit. The hot melt unit is connected to the pressing unit, and consists of a hot melt device and a hot melt table. The present invention performs the pressing for the surface layer, the suction cup, and the molten substrate, so that the surface layer and suction cup are synchronously molten and welded together with the molten substrate at a time to form the non-slip mat, which achieves the one-piece welding molding for the suction cup, substrate and surface layer.
CARPET
A carpet is provided. The carpet includes a face layer, an adhesive anti-slip layer, and an extension layer provided at edges of the face layer and the adhesive anti-slip layer, where the extension layer is sewn onto the face layer and the adhesive anti-slip layer; a face extension layer is folded downwardly to wrap the adhesive anti-slip layer and adhere a bottom edge/side of the adhesive anti-slip layer; an adhesive anti-slip layer extension layer is folded upwardly to wrap the adhesive anti-slip layer and adhere the face layer; and the downwardly folded face extension layer is adhered to the upwardly folded adhesive anti-slip layer extension layer. The carpet features a stable structure and size, easy storage by a convenient method of combination, and an anti-fatigue function. The face layer is washable, which extends the service life of the carpet and achieves environmental protection and energy conservation.
