Method and Apparatus for Composite User Interface Generation
A method for directing messages between a composite user interface and at least one source application. A message is to be directed to a predetermined set of services, each service executes a command specified by the message and the message comprises details of the predetermined set of services. Each service in the predetermined set of services uses said details to determine whether the message should be sent to another service, and if it is determined that the message should be sent to another service transmits the message to an appropriate service.
HIERARCHICAL SCHEDULER
Methods, systems, and computer programs are directed to the implementation of configurable hierarchical schedulers with multiple levels, where each level may use one of several types of queueing mechanisms. A configurable, hierarchical scheduler is designed to handle large scale processing of requests (e.g., transmitting outgoing messages). The hierarchical scheduler distributes the loads to different queues handling different types of messages (e.g., by user ID, by Internet Address (IP), by schedule). The different layers of the hierarchical scheduler are configurable to queue and schedule traffic based on many factors, such as IP address, handling reputation, available downstream bandwidth, fairness, concurrency rates to handle multiple constraints, scheduling per client, time of delivery constrains, rate limits per user, domain scheduling per user, concurrency throttling per outbound channel, and sharing global rate limits across service processors.
Techniques for interfacing between web services and interface description language (IDL)-based remote procedure call (RPC) services and an optical communication system implementing same
An embodiment of the present disclosure includes an RPC architecture that includes a central manager gateway with a client-facing side that allows for client access via web services protocols such as SOAP and REST. The central manager gateway further includes a server-facing side that can communicate with a plurality of network elements, with each network element implementing a common IDL architecture and RPC manager instance. Each of the network elements, and in particular their RPC manager instance, may communicate with other RPC manager instances to ‘learn’ the network topology for the system and maintain a topology database for purposes of exposing a naming service, e.g., a CORBA naming service. The network elements may elect one master element while the others remain as slaves. The central manager gateway may automatically locate the master network element and forward client requests to the same for servicing.
Integration of remote software applications into a workflow
A system includes persistent storage configured to store definitions of interfaces of remote software applications, and a software application configured to define the interfaces. The software application identifies a remote software application system by which the remote software applications are exposed for execution, and obtains therefrom a specification of a particular remote software application. The software application determines, based on the specification, (i) objects accessible by way of the particular remote software application and (ii) functions invokable to interact with the objects. The software application generates actions that define an interface for the particular remote software application. Each action is configured to invoke execution of one or more of the functions by transmitting a request to the remote software application system and, in response, receive, by way of the remote software application system, an output of the one or more of the functions. The actions are stored in the persistent storage to define the interface.
Method and system for processing a stream of incoming messages sent from a specific input message source and validating each incoming message of that stream before sending them to a specific target system
Methods and systems are provided for processing a stream of incoming messages sent from a specific input message source and validating each incoming message of that stream before sending them to a specific target system.
Systems and methods for an internet of things computing shell
Novel tools and techniques for an IoT shell are provided. A system includes a plurality of IoT resources including one or more sensors, a data lake comprising a collection of data streams from the one or more sensors, and an IoT device in communication with the plurality of IoT resources and coupled to the one or more sensors. The IoT device may configured to provide an IoT shell interfacing with a system kernel, the IoT shell configured to accept a set of one or more shell commands. The IoT device may further be configured to receive one or more shell commands, and determine at least one of an argument of the shell command, and an attribute of the argument. The IoT device may then perform a shell command of the one or more shell commands on one or more of the plurality of IoT resources.
System, method and computer program product for sharing information in a distributed framework
A system, method and computer program product are provided for receiving information associated with a message, issuing a storage resource request in connection with a storage resource and determining whether the storage resource is available. In use, the information is capable of being shared in less than one second, utilizing an automotive electronic control unit which includes a plurality of interfaces.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING RESILIENCY IN INTERACTION SERVICING ACROSS DATA CENTERS
A system and a method for providing resiliency in a telephony communication system are provided. The method includes: obtaining resources that are available in a first data center; receiving, from a client, a request for accessing a first resource; transmitting, to the client, a first Uniform Resource Locator (URL) that includes information for facilitating a client access to the first resource in the first data center; when the first resource becomes unavailable in the first data center and available in a second data center, transmitting, to the second data center, a subscribe message for facilitating a client access to the first resource in the second data center; and when the client access to the first resource in the second data center is available, transmitting, to the client, a second URL that includes information for facilitating the client access to the first resource in the second data center.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INTERACTION SERVICING WITH EMBEDDABLE RIBBON DISPLAY
A system and a method for managing contact center functionality are provided. The method includes: receiving, from a servicing application, a request for a web application that implements a plurality of contact center functions; integrating the web application into the servicing application; and displaying a ribbon that includes information that relates to each of the plurality of contact center functions. The ribbon may be embeddable in a user interface screen of the servicing application.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING RESILIENCY IN INTERACTION SERVICING ACROSS DATA CENTERS
A system and a method for overcoming a partial failure of an application in a telephony communication system are provided. The method includes: receiving information indicating that a first application has experienced a partial failure; receiving, from each of a plurality of applications, metadata that relates to a corresponding ordered priority of partitions, a corresponding Availability Zone from among a plurality of Availability Zones in which the respective application is located, and a corresponding instance index within the corresponding Availability Zone; sorting the received metadata with respect to the corresponding Availability Zone and with respect to the corresponding instance index; and reassigning, based on a result of the sorting, the first application to an instance index within the Availability Zone in which the first application is located such that a number of the partitions within instance indexes in the corresponding Availability Zone is balanced.
