In a method, an instance management node receives a request for creating a service instance; the instance management node obtains a cache configuration corresponding to the service instance; and the instance management node creates the service instance on a computing node, and creates a cache instance on the computing node based on the cache configuration. In this way, the service instance may provide a service by using the matched cache instance.

Return source relationship management system, method, device, and server, and storage medium

The embodiment of the present disclosure provides a back-to-source relationship management system, method, apparatus, server and storage medium. The back-to-source relationship management system comprises a back-to-source relationship management server, which is configured for obtaining a target domain name corresponding to a target CDN node back-to-source relationship to be adjusted and adjustment information; using the adjustment information to adjust the target CDN node back-to-source relationship to obtain the adjusted target CDN node back-to-source relationship; synchronizing the target domain name and the adjusted target CDN node back-to-source relationship to a cache management server; the cache management server is configured for receiving the target domain name and the adjusted target CDN node back-to-source relationship; using the adjusted target CDN node back-to-source relationship to update the CDN node back-to-source relationship corresponding to the target domain name and obtain a new CDN node back-to-source relationship.

Techniques for role assignment of components of a distributed application

The role of a node component of a distributed application may be changed without the need to terminate a current OS process implementing the node component. A first component on a first node of a distributed file server may be designated as a control path master and configured to execute a first group of services defined for the control path master as part of a first OS process. One or more other components on one or more other nodes of the distributed file server may be designated as a control path agent and configured to execute a second group of services defined for the control path agent as part of a respective second OS process. The control path master may be changed to a control path agent, and a control path agent may be changed to a control path master, without having to reboot the control path component in question.

Streaming Network Monitoring Caching Infrastructure

Systems and methods of network telemetry caching and distribution are provided. The system can receive network telemetry data and store it as a plurality of data nodes. The system can maintain a node pointer map and a node pointer queue. If the system receives an update to a data node having a corresponding node pointer not already present in the node pointer map, the system can add the node pointer to the node pointer queue and to the node pointer map with a count of zero. If the node pointer is already present in the node pointer map, the system can increment the node count for the node pointer in the node pointer map and not add the node pointer to the node pointer queue. The system can transmit data values and node counts to the client device for each node pointer in the node pointer queue.

Methods and systems for maintaining cache coherency between nodes in a clustered environment by performing a bitmap lookup in response to a read request from one of the nodes

Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and processes to provide coherency across disjoint caches in clustered environments. It is determined whether a data object is owned by an owner node, where the owner node is one of multiple nodes of a cluster. If the owner node for the data object is identified by the determining, a request is sent to the owner node for the data object. However, if the owner node for the data object is not identified by the determining, selects a node in the cluster is selected as the owner node, and the request for the data object is sent to the owner node.

COMPRESSED CACHE USING DYNAMICALLY STACKED ROARING BITMAPS

A method for compressing data in a local cache of a web server is described. A local cache compression engine accesses values in the local cache and determines a cardinality of the values of the local cache. The local cache compression engine determines a compression rate of a compression algorithm based on the cardinality of the values of the local cache. The compression algorithm is applied to the cache based on the compression rate to generate a compressed local cache.

Memory devices and methods which may facilitate tensor memory access with memory maps based on memory operations

Examples described herein include systems and methods which include an apparatus comprising a memory array including a plurality of memory cells and a memory controller coupled to the memory array. The memory controller comprises a memory mapper configured to configure a memory map on the basis of a memory command associated with a memory access operation. The memory map comprises a specific sequence of memory access instructions to access at least one memory cell of the memory array. For example, the specific sequence of memory access instructions for a diagonal memory command comprises a sequence of memory access instructions that each access a memory cell along a diagonal of the memory array.

Proactive data prefetch with applied quality of service

Examples described herein relate to prefetching content from a remote memory device to a memory tier local to a higher level cache or memory. An application or device can indicate a time availability for data to be available in a higher level cache or memory. A prefetcher used by a network interface can allocate resources in any intermediary network device in a data path from the remote memory device to the memory tier local to the higher level cache. Memory access bandwidth, egress bandwidth, memory space in any intermediary network device can be allocated for prefetch of content. In some examples, proactive prefetch can occur for content expected to be prefetched but not requested to be prefetched.

Virtual machine backup and restoration

Reversing deletion of a virtual machine including managing, by a storage system, a repository of virtual machine snapshots on a datastore; receiving, by the storage system, a request to recover a deleted virtual machine from the datastore; accessing, by the storage system, the repository of virtual machine snapshots on the datastore to generate a list of deleted virtual machines associated with virtual machine snapshots in the repository of virtual machine snapshots; receiving, by the storage system, a selection of one of the deleted virtual machines in the list of deleted virtual machines; and recovering, by the storage system, the selected deleted virtual machine using a virtual machine snapshot for the selected deleted virtual machine.
