Improvements in an electronically operated lockbox mailbox assembly is disclosed. The assembly provides a customizable lockbox assembly with a smart lock. The enclosure can be configured with heating, cooling and humidity functions so the internal contents remains at an optimal temperature for storage until the unit is unlocked. The assembly can be linked with other home security devices. The smart lock operated with an application for tracking, opening and security of the assembly. The assembly may take the form of a box, locker, or similar shape that can be either free-standing or “hard installed” as part of a new commercial or residential build or retrofitted to an existing commercial or residential build that is powered via hardwire, plug or battery.

A system for securely depositing an item includes: a deposit box with a door configured to provide selective access to an interior space in the deposit box; a lock mechanism configured to attach to the deposit box to selectively block the door from opening; a first proximity sensor operatively connected to the lock mechanism to operate the lock mechanism to block the door or allow the door to open; a second proximity sensor configured to be attached to at least one of: a delivery person and a piece of delivery equipment; a third proximity sensor; and a first transmitter operatively connected to the lock mechanism and configured to transmit a signal indicative of operating information regarding the lock mechanism, and wherein the deposit box is at least 18 inches wide and 24 inches long.

A package drop box includes a base, a cap, and a retention bracket. The base has an open top. The cap has an open bottom. In a first position, the cap is fitted over the base such that a bottom edge of the cap is proximate a bottom edge of the base. In the second position, the bottom edge of the cap is proximate a top edge of the base. The retention bracket is configured to secure to the base. The retention bracket is configured to extend up a back of the base from the surface supporting the package drop box, extend along the surface away from the back of the base, and extend vertically upward from the surface supporting the package drop box at a predetermined distance from the back of the base.

The disclosure includes embodiments for providing secure package delivery for a vehicle. In some embodiments, a method includes receiving, by a Dedicated Short Range Communication radio (a DSRC radio) of a vehicle, a DSRC message. In some embodiments, the method includes unlocking a trunk of the DSRC-equipped vehicle responsive to receiving the DSRC message by the DSRC radio.

A system for facilitating a package delivery at or a pickup from a door assembly of a building structure is provided. |The door assembly may include a door with a thickness, and a door jamb. The door may be hingedly coupled to the door jamb to define a door channel between the door and the door jamb. The system includes a package receiving enclosure, a securing arrangement and a locking assembly. The securing arrangement may be coupled to the package receiving enclosure. The securing arrangement may be adapted to be received in the door channel between the door and the door jamb for detachably coupling the package receiving enclosure to the door assembly of the building structure. Further, the locking assembly may be coupled to the package receiving enclosure to enable locking and unlocking of the package receiving enclosure by an authorized personal.

A parcel locker system is disclosed that includes a rigid container having an external surface, an internal area that is configured to receive and hold a parcel, a door that is configured to be reversibly opened and closed, a door lock that is configured to be wirelessly activated and deactivated, a digital indicator located on the external surface (which signals whether the door lock is activated or deactivated), a means for attaching the rigid container to a floor or wall surface, and a power source. The system further includes a camera that is configured and oriented to capture video content of a delivery person located adjacent to the rigid container and wirelessly transmit such video content. In addition, the system includes a software application that is configured to receive transmitted video content from the camera and, according to a user's command, wirelessly issue an instruction to the door lock to deactivate for a period of time.

The present invention relates generally to a new and improved package receptacle for receiving one or more delivered parcels or packages. The receptacle is comprised of a gas-piston supported lid, a cable that allows the receptacle to be secured to a structure, a lock that allows only authorized users to access the contents of the package receptacle and a plurality of anti-theft mechanisms. The package receptacle is easily collapsible for easy transportation between locations.

Disclosed herein are methods and systems for providing a smart mailbox device comprising a touch screen user interface display; a smart doorbell notification interface; a smart camera apparatus; an axle member; a computing device having capabilities including at least of: wireless communication, location tracking, cloud computing, remote access, device management, and computing functions; a secure attachment member; a retractable bag configured to: retract a receptacle as a package carrier approaches the smart mailbox device, receive at least one package, secure the at least one package; and a retractable security band configured to: retract for attachment to at least one package above a retractable bag threshold size, adhere and secure to at least one package above a retractable bag threshold size.

An apparatus for securing mail deliveries is disclosed, including a container dimensioned to receive a mail item. The container includes an opening dimensioned to receive the mail item which is stored within the interior of the perimeter. A frame is provided around the perimeter of the opening having one or more joints to permit the frame to open and close the opening of the container. The frame includes one or more supports having a U-shaped portion to hang from a door. A locking mechanism is in communication with the frame to securely lock the frame in a closed configuration.

A storage container securable to the exterior of a home, office or other building for enclosing one or more packages is disclosed herein. The container may be coupled to a door or window of the building without destruction of the exterior surface of the door or window. The storage container may be sized and shaped for various sized packages.
