An authentication method implemented by a computer, the method including: accepting biometric information to be authenticated detected by a first sensor; specifying one person included in one or more persons, based on a movement of each of the one or more persons, in a case where the one or more persons are detected by a second sensor at the time of detecting the biometric information to be authenticated; selecting registered biometric information associated with registered face image information that is similar to face image information of the one person, from among registered biometric information associated with each of a plurality of pieces of registered face image information; and authenticating the biometric information to be authenticated, based on a comparison result of comparing the biometric information to be authenticated with the selected registered biometric information.

Systems and methods for biometric authentication using existing databases

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable medium use external databases for biometric authentication. A server receives a request for authentication of a user from a requestor. A notification is sent to a user device associated with the user from the server. A biometric image is received within the server in response to the notification. A biometric ID of the user is sent from the server to an external database for identifying a biometric template stored with the external database. An authentication result indicative of a match between the biometric image and the biometric template is determined and the authentication result is sent to the requestor. The external databases are owned by a third party, and the biometric template of the user was previously generated and stored within the external database in association with the biometric ID.

Apparatus and method for registering biometric information, apparatus and method for biometric authentication

A method of registering biometric information according to an embodiment includes generating a registration target biometric template based on biometric information of a user, transmitting a biometric information registration request including the registration target biometric template to a server, acquiring transaction information based on the biometric information registration request from the server through one or more communication interfaces, generating an electronic signature for the transaction information using a private key, transmitting the electronic signature for the transaction information to the server through the one or more communication interfaces, and acquiring a registration result for the registration target biometric template based on a verification result for the electronic signature from the server through the one or more communication interface.

Identity document authentication

A device implementing a system for authenticating an identity document includes at least one processor configured to receive, from a service provider, a request associated with verifying an integrity of an identity document, and capture, responsive to receiving the request, image data of the identity document. The at least one processor is further configured to generate a representation based on the image data, the representation comprising form factor data of the identity document, and compare the representation with a prior representation of the identity document, the prior representation comprising prior form factor data of the identity document. The at least one processor is further configured to provide, to the service provider, a response to the request based on comparing the representation with the prior representation.

A customer management apparatus (10) includes an acquisition unit (110) and a determination unit (120). The acquisition unit (110) acquires, from a registration terminal (20), first face information and card identification information. When the first face information satisfies a first criterion regarding whether authentication is possible, the determination unit (120) causes a storage unit (130) to store the first face information and the card identification information in association with each other (first registration processing), and performs processing for allowing a customer to enter a store. The processing may be, for example, issuing, to a store entry apparatus (40), a command to open an automatic door, or may be issuing, to the store entry apparatus (40), a command (so-called lock releasing) to cause an automatic door to open when the customer stands in front of the automatic door.
