Container for Delivering Multiple Packages at a Pickup Location
A system for delivering packages comprising a plurality of containers, each container having a plurality of package storage compartments and each compartment comprising an individually controlled access door on an external wall of the container. One or more packages are placed in at least some of the plurality of modules at a distribution center wherein the container is configured to be transported between the distribution center and a pickup location. Upon arrival at the pickup location, the container is parked and wherein recipients of the packages in the compartments of the container are notified of the arrival of the packages at the pickup location. Each recipient is provided access to the compartment containing the package intended for that recipient.
Package Delivery System
A system for delivering packages from a warehouse to end destinations, the system comprising a fleet of self-propelled long-range transports and a fleet of containers, each configured to be loaded at the warehouse with packages destined for end destinations. Each long-range transport is configured to be loaded with at least four of the loaded containers and transport the at least four of the loaded containers from the warehouse to one or more intermediate destinations. Upon arrival of one of the loaded long-range transports at one of the one or more intermediate destinations, at least one of the loaded containers is separated from the loaded long-range transport, whereupon the separated container delivers packages to end destinations proximate to the one of the one or more intermediate destinations. After delivery of at least some of the packages loaded thereon at the warehouse, the container is once again loaded on the long-range transport and returned to the warehouse to be loaded with more packages.
Multi Use Package Receptacle
A multi-use package receptacle for deliveries to and pickups from a home or business, the receptacle comprising a first compartment for receiving a package delivered from a delivery service and a second compartment for receiving an item to be picked up by a pickup service. An access control unit configured to lock and unlock the first and second compartments, wherein the access control unit grants access to both the first and second compartments to a user associated with the home or business, and the access control unit grants access to the first compartment to a verified delivery service and grants access to the second compartment to a verified pickup service.
Parcel locker system with autonomous clusters of compartments
An electronic locker system for parcel deposit and pick-up, comprising: a remote shipping system, a long distance communication network, at least one mobile device communicating via the long distance communication network with the remote shipping system, at least one parcel locker constituted of at least one autonomous compartments cluster including at least one compartment equipped with a door and including a locking module, which electronically controls locking and unlocking of the door and which establishes a local communication with the at least one mobile device via a short distance communication, wherein the locking module comprises: an energy management module configured for managing transitions of energy modes and allowing the at least one autonomous compartments cluster to be run in a deep sleep mode or in a sleep mode and regularly allowing a wake-up from said deep sleep mode to said sleep mode, a radio transceiver module equipped with an antenna, and at least one processor running a firmware configured for, while in the sleep mode, regularly emitting with the radio transceiver module a broadcasted short message towards the at least one mobile device.
Package securing system and method that protects delivered packages from theft
The present invention relates a package securing system that protects delivered packages from theft. The system comprising a frame that defines an interior region receives a mat. The frame having a recessed chamber. A securing rail is operationally related to the frame and repositionable. A security tarp having at least a portion secured to the frame and at least a portion secured by the securing rail, the security tarp is stored in the recessed chamber. When a package is placed on the mat the package is secured by repositioning the securing rail extending the security tarp over the package. A camera establishes an optical motion free zone around the package and data communicates a secure package notification to predefined recipients when motion is detected, a package delivery or package delivery exception occurs by a package delivery person, or in response to a space-available request.
SANITARY DELIVERY CONTAINER SYSTEM
A device and method for securely delivering a package are provided. The device may be a container for receiving packages, and may include a body configured to receive a package, a door coupled to the body and having a locking mechanism configured to prevent the door from opening when engaged, a controller configured to receive a signal corresponding to the package, and to unlock the locking mechanism in response to the signal, and a sanitization device configured to sanitize at least one of the package and contents of the package by emitting at least one of a gas and a light configured to kill one or more of bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens. The method for securely delivering a package may include storing information corresponding to the package in a memory of the container, receiving a signal indicating that the package is ready for delivery to the container, unlocking a locking mechanism of the container in response to receiving the signal, and activating a sanitization device to sanitize the package after the package has been placed inside the container.
MAILEYBOX SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method providing a smart, Internet-connected mailbox is disclosed. The system having a smart mailbox device, a web server, and a mobile device configured to communicatively interconnect over the Internet. The smart mailbox device includes a mailbox enclosure having a lockable mail and package lockbox electrically coupled to a mailbox processor device, a keypad device electrically coupled to the mailbox processor device, a video camera electrically coupled to the mailbox processor device, a display device electrically coupled to the mailbox processor device, a wireless data network transceiver for configured to communicatively interconnect the mailbox device to the Internet, a mailbox processor device for controlling the smart mailbox device, The mailbox processor device has: a memory having instructions stored thereon and a processor configured to execute the instructions on the memory to cause the mailbox processor device to authenticate deliveries and notify users.
SYSTEM FOR SECURING CONTENTS IN A CONTAINER
A system for securing contents in a container that can include a housing, at least one electromechanically operated security door securing access to the housing and a control panel for receiving input to release the electromechanically secured door from the housing. Communications components, alarms and cameras can also be associated with the housing to facilitate its security and operation and can also adapt it for access and/or package receipt (delivery) by a third party, and overall preservation and security of contents stored therein. Heating and cooling system components can maintain contents of valuable contents held within the housing at a select temperatures.
Automated storage and pickup device for food products purchased by mail order via the Internet
A programmatically integrated cooling module and freezing module. In the cooling module, the front and rear racks with cantilever storage slots for transportation baskets are installed in parallel and have a spacing greater than the width of the transportation basket. In the vertical plane of symmetry between the racks, there is a Cartesian frame manipulator with a trolley and a gripping mechanism. The internal space of the cooling module is circulated with cooling air at a stabilised temperature in the range between 1° C. and 8° C. (optimally 4° C.), produced by a refrigeration unit. On the front wall of the cooling module housing, below the storage slots of the front rack, there are sending and collecting windows. The windows are designed as sluices with a drawer whose rear opening is periodically closed by a movable rear partition and which at the front has a single-leaf door hinged vertically and locked by an electromagnetic lock. In the freezing module, lockers have walls perforated with holes and the number of the order currently available for pickup is illuminated on the door.
