The present invention discloses a system, device, and method for receiving on-site dropped packages delivered to a structure. The system preferably comprises an off-the-shelf object-receiving unit easily installable in an opening in a building, such as a standard window opening. In embodiments, the unit includes a hingeably movable section that automatically opens when a parcel intended for it is near and closes itself after delivery. The parcel may then be retrieved via a door or window on the inside of the unit by a person in the room in which the unit is installed.

A delivery door extension that attaches to an existing door jamb and engages with an existing door is provided. The delivery door extension includes a panel having a planar body with opposing front and rear surfaces extending between first and second side surfaces, a top surface, and a bottom surface, wherein the panel body includes an opening. A parcel receptacle assembly which can be attached to a door or other partition separating an interior and an exterior of an enclosure, to facilitate secure and weatherproof delivery of parcel packages and/or other items from outside the enclosure to inside the enclosure, may include a frame assembly. The frame assembly may be configured for deployment around an opening in the partition, with a frame opening aligning with the opening in the partition. A cover may be movable between a closed position over the frame opening and an open position to expose the frame opening. A parcel receptacle may be attached to the frame assembly at the interior the enclosure, facing the frame opening. The parcel receptacle may receive parcel through the frame opening from outside the enclosure. The door panel may be selectively closed and secured over the frame opening to protect the parcel from environmental damage and/or theft.

The smart door is adapted to reveal the access opening upon the delivery item being matched with one of the authorized items. The access panel is adapted to variably control the size of the access opening in proportion to the dimensions of the delivery item. The system further comprises a user device allowing a user to remotely receive status alerts from the smart door and issue user commands.

It has an extendable platform adapted to extend out of opening 8 and receive package. A controller communicates with an external device to receive an unlocking code from the delivery company. When a drone carrying the package gets close to the target location, it sends a code to the controller. If the codes match, it extends a platform to receive the package, retracts the platform moving package into a secure holding area, until a user provide the proper authentication to open the secure holding area to take the package. Holding area may be cooled or heated as required to properly hold the package. Parcel receiving system may also communicate with a smartphone to indicate that a package was been received, or provide pictures/video of the package.
