An adapter, for use in attaching a translucent holiday ornament to a single lamp of a light string, includes a flexibly resilient main adapter body with a cylindrical sleeve and an annular cap integrally attached to an upper end of the sleeve. The annular cap has a central opening formed therein to receive the lamp. The adapter further includes attachment structure which may be a resilient wire member having a C-shaped upper portion, a pair of parallel connectors which extend from opposite ends of the upper portion, and a pair of non-parallel retaining members respectively attached to ends of the connectors which are spaced away from the upper portion. The adapter allows a user to retrofit an existing holiday light string, by permitting selective attachment or one or more transparent or translucent ornaments to individual lights on the light string.

The invention provides an annular shroud configured to be positioned around a tree stand. The annular shroud has one or more display panels configured to display digital images about a perimeter of the tree stand. In some embodiments, the invention further includes a tree stand display assembly comprising a tree, a tree stand supporting the tree in an upright orientation, and the annular shroud around the tree stand.

A multi-sectional artificial tree with internal and external power wiring for distributing and controlling power to a network of lights. The tree includes multiple tree sections, each tree section with a set of power wires inside a tree trunk, and a network of lighting wires outside the trunk. The network of lighting wires includes a tree-section wire network with a large gauge wire supplying power to groups of lights strings on branches on the tree trunk. Each group of branches has a branch-level lighting network with multiple connectors in series, and that connects to one connector of the tree-section wire network. Each branch-level lighting network powers multiple light strings connected in series, one light string per branch. The wires of the light strings are small gauge, and are connected by the branch-level connectors by a small-wire-to-large-wire connector.

An illuminable decoration comprises at least two trunk sections, each trunk section includes a hollow tube and a cable assembly coupled to each trunk section. Each cable assembly comprises a first modular electrical connector end that has an inner socket and an outer plug that circumscribes the inner socket. Further, each cable assembly comprises a second modular electrical connector end that has an inner plug and an outer socket that circumscribes the inner plug. The present invention relates to a novel Christmas tree skirt device. The device comprises a skirt component with a central, continuous opening. Further, the perimeter of the skirt component comprises a weighted perimeter ring. Additionally, weights can also be used along the exterior of the skirt component. The skirt component also comprises a plurality of embedded lights. The skirt component is radially split from the central, continuous opening to the perimeter to allow the skirt component to be placed around a base of a Christmas tree. Further, once in place around the base, hook and loop closures positioned along this split are used to secure the skirt component around the base of the tree. Thus, users apply the skirt component to the base of a Christmas tree to hide extension cords running to the tree, while adding to the overall holiday aesthetic.
