A printing apparatus that performs printing on a medium while being manually moved relative to the medium, the printing apparatus including a first discharger including a first nozzle row that discharges a first liquid, a second discharger including a second nozzle row that discharges a second liquid and is so provided as to be separate from the first nozzle row in a first direction perpendicular to the first nozzle row, a movement detection section that detects the moving direction of the printing apparatus viewed from the side facing the printing apparatus while the printing apparatus is moved, and an error process section that carries out an error process when printing using both the first and second dischargers is performed and the moving direction detected by the movement detection section deviates from the first direction.

An image forming apparatus for forming an image on paper includes a body surface temperature measuring sensor, a user interface, a communication interface, and a controller. The body surface temperature measuring sensor measures the body surface temperature of the operator in a non-contact manner. The user interface presents a message to the operator. The communication interface transmits a message to the administrator who manages the image forming apparatus. When access to the surface or the inside of the image forming apparatus is required and the body surface temperature of the operator is equal to or higher than a threshold temperature, the controller transmits a message requesting to touch the surface or the inside of the image forming apparatus to the administrator by the communication interface and presents a message requesting not to touch the image forming apparatus to the operator by the user interface.

A recording apparatus includes a recording unit, first and second sheet discharge portions to which recorded products each recorded with an image are discharged, an acquisition unit, a determination unit, and a reception unit. The recording unit records the image by imparting recording materials. The acquisition unit acquires a recording job instructing recording of the image. The determination unit determines, in a case where sheet discharge destination information included in the recording job indicates the first sheet discharge portion, whether a recorded product of an n-th page is dischargeable to the first sheet discharge portion, wherein n is greater than or equal to one. The reception unit receives, in a case where a result of the determination by the determination unit is that recorded product is not dischargeable to the first sheet discharge portion, an instruction about recording of the n-th page from a user.

A paper tray access system for a printer includes a locking cover of paper tray, an authentication device, a weight sensor located beneath the paper tray, a printer display, a computing device including electrical circuitry, a memory storing program instructions and at least one processor. The computing device is configured to receive user input from the authentication device and determine whether the user input matches the authentication record. When user input matches authentication record, the computing device presents a selection on printer display to access a paper tray, receives the selection, records a first weight of the paper tray upon receiving the selection, unlocks the locking cover, records a second weight of the paper tray, calculates an amount of papers removed from paper tray when second weight is less than first weight, and calculates an amount of papers added to paper tray when second weight is greater than first weight.

An information processing apparatus interprets quality requirement data of a print job received externally, analyzes print data of the print job, and compares an interpretation result of the quality requirement data and an analysis result of the print data. As a result of the comparison, in a case where an object, which is comprised in a print image, corresponding to the quality requirement data of the print job and the print data are inconsistent, a warning screen is displayed.

An image forming apparatus reads a document mounted on a document positioning section by using an image reading section, and forms an image of the document on a sheet by using an image forming section. The sheet subjected to the image formation processing is mounted on a discharge tray via a discharge section. The image forming apparatus includes an operation unit that has a touch panel and that protrudes from a front portion of the image reading section, and a power button that is a hardware button provided on a back side of the operation unit and on a front portion of the image reading section.

A set of computer-readable instructions, when executed by a computer in an information processing device, causes the information processing device to perform: a setting process; and in response to receiving a print instruction in which a cut print setting is set: a generation process; and a transmission process. The setting process sets the cut print setting for printing an image on a sheet and dividing the printed sheet at a center position thereof. The generation process acquires image data representing a target image to generate processed image data representing a processed image in which a gap area is arranged within a range including the center position. No colorant is deposited in a region on a sheet corresponding to the gap area during the printer printing the processed image on the sheet. The transmission process transmits print data based on the processed image data and a cut command to the printer.

A laying sheet is laid between a printing device configured to perform printing on a medium and an installation surface on which the printing device is installed. The laying sheet includes a first surface coming into contact with the installation surface and a second surface being a surface opposite to the first surface. The second surface is provided with at least one mark indicating information relating to the printing device.

An image processing device in which a display section is caused to display a preview image for printing. The image processing device includes a processing section configured to generate the preview image obtained by converting raster image data of each of ink colors of color inks or special color inks into an RGB bitmap format, and a display controller configured to cause the display section to display the generated preview.
