METHODS FOR PRINTING IMAGES ON SUBSTRATES AND CORRESPONDING SYSTEMS
A method for printing an image on a substrate is provided. The method includes: providing image template data; analyzing the image template data by identifying image components; printing the image using the image template data using a printing procedure based on printing parameters with a printer operating using printer configuration parameters; capturing the printed image; providing captured image data of the captured image; analyzing the captured image data. The analyzing including determining the region of interest within the captured image data based on definition parameters, identifying an image component and an image metric for the region of interest, relating the image metric to the image component, relating the identified image component to the identified image component of the region of interest, selecting parameters based on the image metric and/or the image component, and computing an actual correction parameter based on an optimization computing procedure using the image metric.
Multi-purpose printer
It is disclosed a printer comprising a front opening through which one or more documents to be treated could be introduced therein, wherein the printer comprises a first path for transporting said one or more documents from a first position to a second position and back to the first position; wherein the printer further comprises a second path for transporting said one or more documents from said first position to an exit, wherein said second path comprises a flap for deviating said one or more documents towards said exit and a separator for directing the one or more documents to one of a first tray and a second tray.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PLANNING AND PRODUCING IMAGES USING PLANTS
A method and system for producing a plant-based image includes receiving a source image; screening the source image into a set of picture elements; and producing raster data indicating at least a type or density of seeds or plants to plant for each picture element.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD
An image processing apparatus generates image data used in printing an image on a sheet being attachable to skin. The image processing apparatus includes: an image acquirer that acquires a skin image picked up from the skin; an image analyzer that extracts, from the skin image, a discolored region differing in color from surrounding skin by at least a predetermined level, and surrounding color being color of the skin surrounding the discolored region; a grouping processor that groups a plurality of the discolored regions, and determines an inclusive region for each region group which is a cluster of the grouped plurality of discolored regions or one discolored region not having been grouped, to include the one or a plurality of the region groups; and a printing controller that generates image data having a content of printing a pigment material that causes color of the inclusive region to approximate the surrounding color, on a region corresponding to the inclusive region in the sheet.
Envelope printer
The envelope printer is adapted for use with envelopes. The envelope printer is a printer that is customized for printing envelopes. The envelope printer comprises a feed tray, an output tray and a printer. The feed tray and the output tray are attached to the printer. The feed tray is a first bin that is designed specifically to hold envelopes. The printer will draw blank envelopes from the feed tray for printing. The output tray is a second bin that is designed specifically to receive envelopes from the printer. The printer is a specially designed printer that is optimized for processing and directly printing on envelopes.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
An image processing apparatus includes an image processor that performs error diffusion processing by applying an error diffusion matrix to multi-valued image data having pixels two-dimensionally arranged, so as to convert the multi-valued image data into binary image data. The binarization unit applies an error diffusion matrix in which the diffusion coefficient of a pixel diagonal to a focused-on pixel is greater than those of other pixels.
Printing apparatus and control method
If it is determined that a recording medium is set in a first set portion and a recording medium is not set in a second set portion and a print target image is not included in a first region and a print target image is included in a second region in printing data, the printing data is edited so that the print target image included in the second region is printed onto the first set portion and is not printed onto the second set portion.
MEDIA PROCESSING SYSTEM WITH SCHEDULER
A media processing system is arranged to process image receiving media under predetermined physical conditions. The system includes a scheduler arranged to schedule jobs to be processed in the system and to calculate predicted timings (T0) at which media will have to be ready for processing and to indicate the predicted timings on a user interface. The system further includes a buffer in which a supply of media that has been received from a first environment is kept in a specified second environment before being processed. The scheduler is configured to calculate an acclimatization time required for the media to acquire the predetermined physical conditions by being kept in the second environment in the buffer, and to calculate and indicate a predicted timing (T1) at which the media should be present in the sheet buffer at the latest in view of the calculated acclimatization time.
METHOD FOR INKJET PRINTING ON AT LEAST ONE CURVED REGION OF A SURFACE OF AN OBJECT AND DEVICE FOR IMPLEMENTING THE METHOD
A method for inkjet printing an image onto a curved region of an object surface includes applying a screen of ink drops to the region to create print dots, calculating the screen using a computer and generating and applying ink drops to the region using a print head having nozzles on a nozzle surface. The steps include a) providing data representing the print image, b) providing or calculating data representing the region, c) providing or calculating path data on paths for the print head or object, d) calculating application locations of ink drops using data from steps b) and c), e) calculating data based on tiling the region using data from step d), f) calibrating tone values using data from step e), g) screening the print image using data from step f), and h) printing the screened image onto the region. A device implementing the method is also provided.
