Systems and methods for providing remote approval of an image for printing are provided. One system includes a processing circuit in communication with an image capturing device that is configured to capture an image of a printed product. The processing circuit is configured to process the captured image into a processed image accurate to within a tolerance in a color space to indicate the visual appearance of one or more colors. The color space is a standardized color space, such as sRGB or CIELAB. The processing circuit is further configured to transmit the processed image to a display located remote from the image capturing device and to receive an input signal from a remote input device to allow a user to approve or reject the displayed processed image for printing on a print device.

When an image formation instruction for created document data is received, image data for a preview image corresponding to the document data is generated, the preview image based on the image data is displayed on a display, and an image is formed using data for image formation based on the image data for the preview image.

The present invention relates to a device and a method for simulating 3D printing and more particularly, to a simulation technology which is able for a producer or a user to predict and correct a 3D model through previews shown when the 3D model displayed in a monitor is outputted by a 3D printer.

A printing apparatus comprises: a printing section that prints out print data onto a medium; an imaging section that captures an image of a print result on the medium; and an error notification section that performs error notification in a case of occurrence of an error during the printing of the print data. The error notification section judges whether to issue an error notice or not. In a case of an affirmative judgment to issue the error notice, the error notification section acquires a print image showing the print result by using the imaging section and transmits the acquired print image together with the error notice.

An image processing apparatus is caused to execute adjustment processing for an image; generate a soft proof image based on the image, a parameter adjusted in the adjustment processing, and characteristic information on a printing apparatus; display the soft proof image on a screen; and store the parameter of the adjusted image for which the adjustment processing is performed while the soft proof image is being displayed on the screen, and information relating to the printing apparatus, in association with the image.

A printing control apparatus includes a processor configured to receive instruction information including print data and post-processing information indicating content of post-processing scheduled to be performed on paper on which an image based on the print data is printed, and, in a case where the post-processing included in the instruction information is not performed by a post-processing apparatus, generate an auxiliary image that assists a user to perform the post-processing, based on the post-processing information, and print the auxiliary image, together with the image based on the received print data, on the paper.

An apparatus includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire at least one image group including at least one image; a creating unit configured to create a layout candidate by laying out images included in an image group that has been acquired by the acquisition unit; an evaluating unit configured to evaluate the layout candidate created by the creating unit, based on individual evaluation of each of the images in accordance with a feature of a subject in the images that have been laid out in layouts; and an output unit configured to output the layout candidate created by the creating unit, at a predetermined output size. The feature of the subject in the images includes a size of the subject in the image identified by an output size of the layout candidate output by the output unit.
