Printing apparatus, system and method suppressing lowering of code accuracy and symbol disappearance
A printing apparatus includes: a head which discharges liquid to a medium; and a controller. The controller obtains print data for forming an image on the medium with a dot formed by making the liquid to land on the medium, the image including a code having information; selects, in the obtained print data, dot data corresponding to the dot forming the image as selected data, determines whether a first dot pattern including the selected dot data matches a predetermined delete pattern, and determines whether a second dot pattern including the selected dot data matches a predetermined exclusion pattern; performs a correction of the print data based on results of the determinations; and discharges the liquid from the head to the medium, based on the print data after the correction, to form the image on the medium.
LOGIC CIRCUITRY
A logic circuitry package for a replaceable print apparatus component comprises an interface to communicate with a print apparatus logic circuit, and at least one logic circuit. The logic circuit may be configured to identify, from a command stream received from the print apparatus, parameters including a class parameter, and/or identify, from the command stream, a read request, and output, via the interface, a count value in response to a read request, the count value based on identified received parameters.
METHOD AND FLAT BED PRINTER FOR PRINTING PRINT JOBS ON MEDIA PIECES ON THE FLAT BED OF THE FLAT BED PRINTER
A method for printing a plurality of print jobs on a flat bed printer includes automatically grouping the print jobs into a plurality of consecutive container jobs, and for each container job automatically creating a digital plan of the flat bed, automatically defining a mask with cutting information according to the created plan, receiving the defined mask on the flat bed, receiving the media pieces on the flat bed positioned in according with the received mask, and unattended printing of the print jobs on the media pieces by the flat bed printer making use of the received mask. The automatic grouping includes gathering the group of print jobs due to the print job characteristics of each of the print jobs and/or the flat bed characteristics of the flat bed and ordering the consecutive container jobs due to the print job characteristics of each of the print jobs and/or the flat bed characteristics of the flat bed.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes a conveyance unit configured to convey a sheet in a conveyance direction, a print unit configured to perform printing on the sheet conveyed by the conveyance unit, a light receiving unit configured to receive light and make an output according to the received light, and a control unit configured to control borderless printing by the print unit, the borderless printing including extra-printing from a sheet edge to outside of the sheet. The control unit sets an extra-printing amount by which printing extends off the sheet edge after the light receiving unit makes the output according to the received light.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL HALFTONING
A three-dimensional halftoning method is disclosed, wherein a halftone matrix including values is provided and subdivided into a plurality of sub-matrices, each sub-matrix including values of the halftone matrix in a respective sub-range. For a current slice of a three-dimensional representation of an object, a sub-matrix of the plurality of sub-matrices of the halftone matrix is selected and halftoning of the current slice is performed using the selected sub-matrix. Furthermore, an additive manufacturing method and system are described.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM, AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes a drawing data creating unit and a controller. The drawing data creating unit creates drawing data from a print job. The controller automatically sets at least one of a first dropping method of performing discharge in a drawing area and a second dropping method of performing the discharge outside the drawing area as a preliminary discharge method in accordance with a type of component elements of the created drawing data, and performs preliminary discharge in accordance with the set preliminary discharge method.
Sheet feed device and image recording apparatus having such sheet feed device
An image recording apparatus including a first tray having a first holding portion for holding sheets, a second tray disposed above the first tray and including a second holding portion for holding sheets, a sheet feeder that selectively feeds a sheet from one of the first tray and the second tray in a sheet feed direction, a recording unit that records an image on the sheet fed by the sheet feeder, and a discharge roller that discharges the sheet on which the image is recorded by the recording unit. The second holding portion of the second tray moves above the first holding portion of the first tray. The second tray further includes a discharged sheet receiving portion for receiving the sheet discharged by the discharge roller. The second tray including the discharged sheet receiving portion pivots relative to the first tray.
Modifying control data packets that include random bits
A fluid ejection controller interface includes output logic to receive control data packets, each control data packet including a set of primitive data bits and a set of random bits. The fluid ejection controller interface includes counter logic to cause the output logic to output modified control data packets to a fluid ejection controller of a fluid ejection device.
Method for optimizing a printing speed of a CIJ printer, in particular for printing 2D or graphical codes
A printed graphical code has H lines and a W columns i (i=1, . . . W) and a pattern of H×W cells, each at the intersection of a column and a line. Each cell or dot is formed with a drop from a printhead of a continuous inkjet printer and two successive dots of a column are separated by at least one non printed cell. A method for printing each column comprises: retrieving or selecting charges to be applied to each drop for printing the dots of the column from a set of data or database of charges for each of a number of configurations of drops to be printed, the number being equal to or less than 2.sup.(H/2)+1 if H is an even number or equal to or less than 2.sup.((H+1)/2)+1 if H is an odd number; charging the drops for printing according to the retrieved charges; and printing the column.
