Dual pass uniformity printing compensation mechanism

A printing system is disclosed. The printing system includes a printer to print image data to a medium. The printer includes a first pass channel including a first set of pel forming elements to print a first component of the image data and a second pass channel including a second set of pel forming elements to print a second component of the image data, wherein the first component of the image data and the second component of the image data occupy a same region on the print medium. The printing system also includes a print controller to perform uniformity compensation based on a combined compensation of the first pass channel and the second pass channel.

PRINTERS AND CONTROLLERS

Example implementations provide a controller for controlling printing of a printer, the controller comprising: an input interface for accessing an image to be printed; an image processor to identify at least one selected feature within the image; and circuitry: a. to control printing of said at least one selected feature using a respective print operation; and b. to control printing of said image, other said at least one selected feature, using a further respective print operation; c. said respective print operation being different to said further respective print operation.

The conveyance section conveys a recording medium. The detector detects an overrun. Write addresses are designated in a predefined sequence from among addresses. Read addresses are designated in the predefined sequence from among the addresses. The writing process and the reading process are performed in storage areas included in the first storage in a first order. The overrun indicates that the writing and reading processes are performed in the storage areas included in the first storage in a second order that is opposite to the first order. While the conveyance section conveys the recording medium, the main controller controls the writing controller or the reading controller based on a detection result of the detector.

Backlight position correction device

The present disclosure relates to the technical field of backlight code printing, and provides a backlight position correction device, which includes an assembly line and an alignment mechanism. The assembly line is configured to drive linear motion of the backlight; and the alignment mechanism is used to adjust a plurality of back-up backlights such that the backlights are in the same straight line. The alignment mechanism includes a fixing plate and a motion component. The fixing plate is disposed at a side of the assembly line. The motion component is disposed at a side of the assembly line opposite to the fixing plate, and configured to push a side of the backlight such that the backlight abuts against the fixing plate.

Method for print tuning a printer or copier

In a method for print tuning of a printer or copier, at least one first region of a first printing element to be printed is selected. Further, at least one third region of a second printing element to be printed is selected. The second printing element can be different from the first printing element. Additionally, the first and the third region can be repeatedly printed on a same proof sheet to print tune the printer or copier. The at least one printing parameter can be varied from region to region in the repeated printing of the first region, and from region to region in the repeated printing of the third region.
