APPARATUSES, COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHODS, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCTS FOR IMPROVED PRINT POSITION COMPENSATION
Embodiments of the disclosure provide for improved print position compensation, for example to improve accuracy of print job(s) performed by a printer. The print position compensation enables an offset of the time until printing occurs on a print media to account for changes and/or erroneous movement in a print media, such as due to slippage and/or other results of a force applied to the print media. Particular embodiments determine data values derived both for an output phase and a retraction phase of the printer's operation. Various embodiments generate a print position compensation based on sensor-based edge position distances determined during each of a media output phase and a media retraction phase. Alternatively or additionally various embodiments generate a print position compensation based on sensor-based media movement phase timestamp differentials determined during each of a media output phase and a media retraction phase.
Measuring device, image reading apparatus and image forming system for controlling movement of a sheet
A measuring device includes a first roller pair, a colorimetric unit, a second roller pair, a third roller pair, a motor, and a torque limiter. The third roller pair is driven at a first speed before a trailing end of the sheet with respect to a sheet feeding direction passes through the first roller pair and is driven at a second speed higher than the first speed after the trailing end of the sheet passes through the first roller pair. The first speed is set so as to be equal to the peripheral speed of the first roller pair. The second speed is set so as to be equal to a peripheral speed of the second roller pair in a state in which a slip of the torque limiter is not caused.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, METHOD OF PRINTING IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming system includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry generates print image data for printing a first image in a print area on a conveyance medium. The processing circuitry controls printing on the conveyance medium based on the print image data. The processing circuitry determines a position at which a second image is printed in a cut area, based on a position of a cutting mark, to generate the print image data including the second image, the second image including identification information to identify each page of the conveyance medium, the cut area being an area to be cut in the print area.
STORAGE MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER-READABLE INSTRUCTIONS FOR GENERATING PROCESSED IMAGE DATA REPRESENTING PROCESSED IMAGE IN WHICH GAP AREA IS ARRANGED WITHIN RANGE INCLUDING LONGITUDINAL CENTER POSITION THEREOF
A set of computer-readable instructions, when executed by a computer in an information processing device, causes the information processing device to perform: a setting process; and in response to receiving a print instruction in which a cut print setting is set: a generation process; and a transmission process. The setting process sets the cut print setting for printing an image on a sheet and dividing the printed sheet at a center position thereof. The generation process acquires image data representing a target image to generate processed image data representing a processed image in which a gap area is arranged within a range including the center position. No colorant is deposited in a region on a sheet corresponding to the gap area during the printer printing the processed image on the sheet. The transmission process transmits print data based on the processed image data and a cut command to the printer.
STORAGE MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER-READABLE INSTRUCTIONS FOR GENERATING CUT PRINT IMAGE DATA BASED ON CUT PRINT SETTING
A set of computer-readable instructions, when executed by a computer in an information processing device, causes the information processing device to perform: a capability responding process; and in response to receiving a print instruction in which a special size is selected through an application program: a generation process; and a transmission process. The capability responding process transfers capability information of a printer to the application program. The capability information includes sheet size information indicating at least one sheet size available in the printer. The at least one sheet size includes a special size with which a cut print setting is associated. The generation process acquires target image data according to the print instruction to generate cut print image data based on the target image data and the cut print setting. The transmission process transmits print data based on the cut print image data and a cut command to the printer.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive paper information on a type of paper on which an image is formed; acquire assist information about assistance to supply the paper by supplying gas to the paper and adjustment information about positioning of the paper after assistance to supply the paper is performed, the assist information and the adjustment information corresponding to the received paper information and relating to transport of the paper; and perform control for storing the paper information, the assist information, and the adjustment information in association with one another into a memory.
PRINTER APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PRINTING PAGES SPACED AT LESS THAN THE PRINTHEAD WIDTH
A printer and a method for printing of pages on a continuous media, such as labels, with any desired or practical spacing using fixed head printheads that have spacing limitations for printing pages on the continuous media. The printer can be configured to detect a top of form mark on the continuous media as it is moved through a media path in the printer and initiating printing of an image on an adjacent page or label at the position indicated by the top of form mark.
METHOD FOR USING A PAPER CATALOG MAP WITH A PAPER CATALOG FOR PRINTING OPERATIONS
A color printing system includes a printing device and other components that use color printing resources, such as calibration and ICC profiles, to complete color printing operations. These color printing resources are used for a large number of paper types stored in a paper catalog. The paper types can be further placed into paper groups within the paper catalog. The paper groups may be formed by assigning new papers into the paper catalog to those having paper types with existing calibration data and ICC profiles. These relationships are shown in a paper catalog map. The print shop can use the paper catalog map for selling paper types, providing different capabilities for paper types, and other information.
Image forming apparatus, image forming method, and non-transitory computer readable medium that reduce workload for adjustments related to transport of paper
PRINTING APPARATUS, PRINTING CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus includes an image forming portion which forms a chart image on a sheet conveyed from a sheet feeding deck, a color measure portion which performs color measurement by reading the chart image formed by the image forming portion, and one or more controllers including one or more processors and one or more memories. The one or more controllers are configured to generate correction data based on color measurement results by the color measurer portion and a reference value, and perform correction for target image data by using the generated correction data. The reference value is obtained by performing color measurement by the color measure portion and is registered in association with a type of sheet on which the chart image is formed, and in a case where the type of sheet on which the chart image is formed is changed, the reference value is updated.
