Information processing apparatus, printing apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable medium storing program
An information processing apparatus includes at least one processor configured to: acquire physical-property-value information of a recording medium; using information regarding a printing machine, perform an evaluation as to whether there is a possibility that the recording medium causes trouble for printing by the printing machine, the evaluation being performed with respect to at least one printing performance indicator based on the physical-property-value information; and output a result of the evaluation to a display device.
Recording apparatus and recording method
A recording apparatus includes a recording unit, first and second holding units, and a generation unit. The recording unit records an image on a recording medium, conveyed in a second direction, by using recording elements arranged along a first direction. The generation unit generates first correction data based on an input recording job and image data and a first adjustment value indicating a conveyance position, in the first direction, of a recording medium from the first holding unit, and generates second correction data based on the recording job and the image data and a second adjustment value indicating a conveyance position, in the first direction, of a recording medium from the second holding unit. The recording unit records an image on the first holding unit recording medium based on the first correction data, and records an image on the second holding unit recording medium based on the second correction data.
Method for using a paper catalog map with a paper catalog for printing operations
A color printing system includes a printing device and other components that use color printing resources, such as calibration and ICC profiles, to complete color printing operations. These color printing resources are used for a large number of paper types stored in a paper catalog. The paper types can be further placed into paper groups within the paper catalog. The paper groups may be formed by assigning new papers into the paper catalog to those having paper types with existing calibration data and ICC profiles. These relationships are shown in a paper catalog map. The print shop can use the paper catalog map for selling paper types, providing different capabilities for paper types, and other information.
Printing medium processing system and printing medium processing method
For a plurality of kinds of printing media, spectral information is produced from results of printing of at least five points in paper white of the printing media, black, and three primary colors of coloring and printing materials, and a learned model is generated in advance by machine learning that uses the spectral information as learning data. An identification section that identifies the kinds of the printing media by using the learned model is provided. The kinds of the printing media are identified by applying the spectral information produced from the results of printing of at least five points on a printing target medium on which printing is to be performed to the learned model, and the printing target medium is processed in accordance with the identified kind of the printing target medium. In the case of a new unlearned printing medium, transfer learning is performed to learn the printing medium, and the model is updated.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus (1) includes an image forming section (6), a plurality of recording paper trays (7a to 7n), storage (5), and a paper feed stage selecting section (12). The image forming section (6) performs advanced printing based on a paper profile. The paper feed stage selecting section (12) selects a recording paper tray (7) from the recording paper trays (7a to 7n) from which recording paper is to be fed to the image forming section (6) based on a printing instruction. When a specific paper profile is not associated with the selected recording paper tray (7), the paper feed stage selecting section (12) notifies the image forming section (6) of a manual setting and causes the image forming section (6) to perform simple printing.
PRINT MEDIA THRESHOLDS
In some examples, a non-transitory machine readable medium can include instructions executable by a processing resource to assert a low print media level notification responsive to determination that a first amount of print media in a media receptacle of an imaging device is less than a set value, detect a second amount of print media in the media receptacle of the imaging device, compare the detected second amount of print media to a print media threshold that is based on the set value and a selectable print media value, and maintain the low print media level notification responsive to a determination that the detected second amount of print media is less than the print media threshold.
MEASURING DEVICE, IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A measuring device includes a first roller pair, a colorimetric unit, a second roller pair, a third roller pair, a motor, and a torque limiter. The third roller pair is driven at a first speed before a trailing end of the sheet with respect to a sheet feeding direction passes through the first roller pair and is driven at a second speed higher than the first speed after the trailing end of the sheet passes through the first roller pair. The first speed is set so as to be equal to the peripheral speed of the first roller pair. The second speed is set so as to be equal to a peripheral speed of the second roller pair in a state in which a slip of the torque limiter is not caused.
Print media accumulators controlled by print job attributes
A finisher apparatus includes an accumulator to register a print medium of a print job in preparation for a finishing operation, memory to store an attribute of the print job, and a processor coupled to the accumulator and the memory. The processor is to execute instructions. The instructions are to control the accumulator based on the attribute of the print job.
Printing system capable of performing post-processing to sheets after image formation and control method thereof
In a printing system capable of supplying a sheet of a job having undergone print processing by the printing unit of a printing apparatus to a post-processing unit capable of executing at least a specific type of post-processing among a plurality of types of post-processes, when the target job requires the specific type of post-processing, the printing apparatus is inhibited from executing print processing of the job without explicitly determining a sheet necessary for the print processing of the job by a user using a user interface unit. When the target job does not require the specific type of post-processing, the printing apparatus is permitted to execute print processing of the job without explicitly determining a sheet necessary for the print processing of the job by the user using the user interface unit.
Information processing system and non-transitory computer readable medium for dynamically estimating print time for print jobs on a roll of paper
An information processing system includes a processor configured to dynamically change an estimation of a time needed to execute each print job in accordance with variations in a combination of print jobs allocated to one roll of rolled paper.
