TAG LAYOUT FOR INDUSTRIAL VEHICLE OPERATION
According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, an industrial facility is provided comprising a tag layout and at least one ingress/egress zone. The tag layout comprises at least one double row of tags. The ingress/egress zone is located outside of an area of the vehicle travel plane occupied by the aisle path and is bounded in its entirety by the double row of tags, by two or more double rows of tags, by a combination of one or more double rows of tags and one more selected facility boundaries, or by combinations thereof. The double row of tags is arranged in an n × m matrix that is configured for successive detection of the inner and outer rows of tags that is dependent on the point-of-origin of a sensor transit path across the double row of tags. Additional embodiments are disclosed and claimed.
PRINTER AND WIRELESS TAG WRITING DEVICE
According to one embodiment, there is provided a printer including a print head, a platen roller, a sheet position sensor, an antenna, and a movable portion. The print head is configured to print on a strip-shaped sheet. The platen roller is configured to move the sheet pinched between the platen roller and the print head along a longitudinal direction of the sheet. The sheet position sensor is provided on a substrate disposed on an upstream side of the print head in a conveyance direction of the sheet, and is configured to detect a position of the sheet. The antenna is provided on the substrate and is configured to write information to a wireless tag provided on the sheet. The movable portion is configured to move the substrate along a width direction of the sheet.
GAME TABLE READING SYSTEM
The game table reading system comprises reading antennas for each of a plurality of reading areas of a game table, read-restriction antennas for each of the plurality of the reading areas, the read-restriction antennas restricting the RFID tag embedded in a game token placed in the corresponding reading area from being read by the reading antenna corresponding to the other adjacent reading areas, a reading control device that controls the reading antennas, and a read-restriction control device that controls the read-restriction antennas. The read-restriction control device causes the read-restriction antennas corresponding to the reading areas adjacent to the reading areas corresponding to the reading antenna that the reading control device causes to read, in synchronization with the reading control device.
MULTI STREAM RFID TAG APPLICATOR
A radio frequency identification (RFID) tag applicator including a spool system for holding and guiding a tape including a plurality of RFID tags from a first spool to a second spool, an RFID programmer coupled to spool system to send a programming signal to each of the tags passing from the first spool to the second spool, an RFID reader coupled to the spool system for reading a return signal from a programmed RFID tag in order to reject or accept the programmed tag, and an applicator member operatively coupled to the RFID reader to cause an RFID tag to peel away from the tape onto a passing substrate if the RFID tag is accepted by the RFID reader or pass to the second spool if rejected.
SETTLEMENT DEVICE AND PROGRAM
A settlement device includes a scale that measures a first total weight of commodities; a wireless tag reader that reads, from a wireless tag attached to each of the commodities, a commodity code; and a camera that acquires an image of the commodities. A controller is configured to register the commodity codes; calculate, based on data that correlates commodity codes and commodity weights, a second total weight of the commodities corresponding to the commodity codes registered by the controller; recognize the commodities from the image; when the first total weight and second total weight do not coincide, register an additional commodity code that (a) was not read by the wireless tag reader and (b) correlates to one of the commodities recognized from the image; and when the first total weight and the second total weight coincide, perform settlement processing for the registered commodities.
ITEM TRACKING USING TAG-TO-TAG COMMUNICATIONS
Provided is a method for tracking items using tag-to-tag communication. The method comprises receiving, from a tag, a list of nearby tags. The list of nearby tags was generated by the tag communicating with neighboring tags. The method further comprises comparing the list of nearby tags to a reference list that includes all expected tags. The method further comprises determining whether the list of nearby tags matches the reference list.
SUPPLY STATION WITH DOOR SHIELD
A shield assembly includes a closing structure configured to be disposed over an opening of an enclosure. The closing structure includes an inner surface configured to face an inside of the enclosure when the closing structure is closed and a finger bracket structure mounted on the inner surface, the finger bracket structure having a bracket and one or more finger gaskets coupled to the bracket. An electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielded gasket disposed along a portion of the opening of the enclosure shields an edge of the opening of the enclosure or a radio frequency (RF) fence bracket coupled to a frame disposed around the opening of the enclosure creates a narrow path between the frame and the closing structure, the narrow path attenuating RF signals passing through the narrow path and shielding an edge of the opening of the enclosure.
Supply station with door shield
A door assembly is described. The door assembly includes a door structure that is mounted over an opening of an enclosure. The door structure includes a body that includes a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The first surface may face an inside of the enclosure when the door structure is closed. The door structure includes a number of finger bracket structures mounted on the first surface. Each one of the finger bracket structures includes a bracket and one or more finger gaskets coupled to the bracket. The finger gaskets of the finger bracket structures may contact enclosure brackets mounted around an edge of the opening of the enclosure when the door structure is closed. A combination of the finger gaskets in contact with enclosure brackets may create an electromagnetic interference (EMI) shield at the edge of the opening of the enclosure.
Faraday enclosure for improved RFID detection
An RFID reading enclosure having a Faraday cage including a cage floor and a cage hood hinged to the cage floor. The cage hood includes a RF blocking fabric formed on a frame with the interior of the Faraday cage having a volume between 4.5 and 30 ft.sup.3. There are at least two RFID antennas positioned to transmit signals into the Faraday cage, with the two RFID antennas having a transmission axis along different orientations.
Printing device including cassette mounting portion in which a plurality of types of cassettes is configured to be selectively mounted
A printing device includes: an RFID reader including a reader antenna; a cassette mounting portion in which a plurality of types of cassettes can be selectively mounted; a memory storing correlations between the types of cassettes and standard ranges concerning a return energy; and a controller. Each cassette includes an RFID tag storing cassette information related to the cassette. The RFID tag includes a tag antenna configured to communicate with the reader antenna. Communication sensitivity between the reader antenna and the tag antenna when the cassette is mounted in the cassette mounting portion is different for each type of cassette. The controller performs: communicating via the RFID reader with the RFID tag of the cassette mounted in the cassette mounting portion; and determining whether a value of the return energy received by the RFID reader in the communicating falls within any one of the standard ranges indicated by the correlations.
