Access control electronics for wireless locks

Access control electronics for wireless locks comprise one or more battery operated radios that receive access control codes. The wireless accessed locks locate the electronic components, circuits, sensors and antennas and many of the lock components away from the container being secured and closer to the operator/user. The disclosed access control electronics combine a proximity detection circuit comprising sensor pads and a capacitive sensing circuit and one or more short-range radio frequency antennas for reading RFID devices. The proximity sensor pads are in close proximity with the antennas, without the antennas interfering with the proximity sensing process, and the sensor pads to not attenuate the signals between the RFID devices and the antennas after the RFID devices are detected.

LIVESTOCK AND FEEDLOT DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING USING UHF-BAND INTERROGATION OF RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION TAGS FOR FEEDLOT ARRIVAL AND RISK ASSESSMENT

An agricultural data collection framework is provided in a system and method for tracking and managing livestock, and for analyzing animal conditions such as health, growth, nutrition, and behavior. The framework uses ultra-high frequency interrogation of RFID tags to collect individual animal data across multiple geographical locations, and incorporates artificial intelligence techniques to develop machine learning base models for statistical process controls around each animal for evaluating the animal condition. The framework provides a determination of normality at an individual animal basis or for a specific location, and generates alerts, predictions, and a targeted processing or application schedule for prioritizing and delivering resources when intervention is needed.

Power tool system and data processing method

A power tool system includes a power tool; a battery pack detachably connected to the power tool, and a cloud server capable of wirelessly communicating with the power tool. The power tool includes a wireless communication unit configured to establish a wireless communication link with an external device and a file storage unit coupled to the wireless communication unit and configured to store content data in a preset data structure. The preset data structure includes a packet header configured for information transmission, a packet tail including a check bit, and a data packet body including a data length, a data type, a packet serial number, data content and an electronic serial number. A simple and efficient method of deduplicating data is used to release the memory space of the memory and improve data transmission efficiency.

System and method for tracking clothes and textile articles and an RFID reading clothes dryer

A system and method offer a garment provider the ability to automatically scan and track garments at multiple locations without adding processing stations. Various embodiments of this invention allow garment providers to achieve greater processing efficiencies and implement reporting and tracking protocols to provide customers with important data regarding garments in their program with a higher level of confidence. This invention is implemented in various embodiments with a system and/or method for tracking clothes and other textile articles utilizing multiple RFID reading modules throughout the system or method to achieve greater accuracy for reporting and tracking the items. One aspect of various embodiments of this invention is the reading of RFID tags on articles being dried in a commercial dryer. The movement of the articles induced by the action of the dryer provides for increased exposure of the RFID tags on the articles for more reliable detection.

ITEM MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, ITEM MANAGEMENT METHOD, READING APPARATUS, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS

An item management system for managing item data that indicates an entity to which an item belongs among a plurality of entities comprising: a first wireless device installed at a first position; a second wireless device that moves together with the item; at least one reading apparatus that reads identification information stored in a wireless device; and a management unit configured to manage the item data. In a state where the item data indicates that the item belongs to a second entity related to a second position, the management unit is configured to update the item data such that the item data indicates that the item belongs to a first entity related to the first position provided that a first reading apparatus has read identification information of the first and second wireless devices.

TAG READING DEVICE

A tag reading device includes an external interface, an RFID interface, a buffer memory, and a processor. The external interface communicates with a higher-level device. The RFID interface reads tag information from an RFID tag. The buffer memory sequentially records the tag information read from the RFID tag using the RFID interface. The processor extracts a commodity code for specifying a commodity from the tag information recorded in order in the buffer memory and transmits the commodity code to the higher-level device through the external interface, and updates a transmission start pointer indicating untransmitted tag information in the buffer memory.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING PACKAGE PROPERTIES IN AN AUTOMATED INDUSTRIAL ROBOTICS SYSTEM

A package scanning conveyance system that integrates a first two-dimensional image with at least a second two-dimensional image or a three-dimensional point clouds to calculate or estimate a package's physical properties, and/or determine if there are two or more packages in a pile. The captured imaging data is transformed by the inventive system to provide real-time feedback to a human operator to enable the operator to maintain an understanding of the system's performance. The imaging data may also be used to perform quality-checks on other parts of the package delivery and conveyance systems and document the condition of packages that have passed through the system.

Drive-through automated supermarket

A store is described, including an ordering interface, a storage area, automated vehicles, and a central processing system. The ordering interface accepts selections of items for purchase from a shopper. The storage area, stocking items for sale, is separate from the area containing the ordering interface. The automated vehicles retrieve items from the storage area. The central processing system is configured to: check-in the shopper; assign an order fulfilment module to the shopper; receive selections of items from the ordering interface in real-time, as the shopper selects the items for purchase; send the selections to the order fulfilment module for retrieval in real-time; check-out the shopper when the shopper is finished selecting items; and arrange delivery of the completed order to the shopper. The order fulfilment module assigns automated vehicles to retrieve the items for purchase in real-time. A method for operating a store is also described.

Item identification via RFID tag secret

A method is provided to determine unique identifiers. A physical item has an RFID integrated circuit (IC) having a unique identifier and a secret. The RFID IC may be configured to provide an identifier portion and a response to a previously sent challenge, where the identifier portion by itself is insufficient to completely identify the IC or item and the response is based on the challenge and the secret. Attempts are made to verify the response using a set of potential secrets determined using the identifier portion. If the response is successfully verified using a certain secret, the secret may then be used to determine one or more other identifier portions. The unique, complete identifier may then be determined from a combination of at least the identifier portions.
