COMPOSITE MERCHANDISE LABEL CONSTRUCTIONS
20230107502 · 2023-04-06 ·

Label constructions comprise a first section and a second section that are laminate constructions of a card stock top surface that may include printed indicia, an adhesive layer disposed underneath the card stock, and a removable liner adhered to the adhesive layer and common to the first and second sections. The first section includes an RFID device. The first section may be configured once removed from the liner to fold on itself to form an RFID tag, or to form an RFID adhesive label. The second section once separately removed from the liner forms an adhesive label. The construction first and second sections are positioned adjacent one another and are formed during the same manufacturing process for purposes of manufacturing efficiency. The first and second sections may be treated to facilitate separate removal from the liner to provide labeling flexibility.

FLEXIBLE RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION TAGS

Flexible, stretchable RFID tags are formed by a pocket that is formed from one or more substrates and layers of adhesive, and an electronic circuit that is located within this pocket. The RFID tags can include a stretchable substrate and an electronic circuit attached to the stretchable substrate by one or a finite number of discrete spaced apart attachment locations. When the pocket is formed by relatively thick adhesive layers adhering together one or more flexible substrates to form an internal cavity, the electronic circuit is located within this cavity and either is not adhered to any of the substrates of the cavity, and is free to move about within the cavity, or the electronic circuit can be attached to a substrate by a thin layer of adhesive.

Conformal electronics integrated with apparel

A system is provided for integrating conformal electronics devices into apparel. The system includes a flexible substrate onto which a flexible device is disposed. The flexible device can include a stretchable coil that can be used to receive and transmit near field communications. The flexible device also includes an integrated circuit component and a memory unit. In some examples, the device also includes a sensor that is configured to record measurement of the wearer of the apparel and/or the surrounding environment.

ELECTRICAL CONDUCTORS

Electrical conductors are disclosed. More particularly, undulating electrical conductors are disclosed. Certain disclosed electrical conductors may be suitable to be disposed on flexible or stretchable substrates.

ELECTRONIC TRACKING LABEL WITH A FOLD-OVER BATTERY ATTACHMENT
20230196267 · 2023-06-22 · ·

An electronic tracking tag that attaches a battery to the tag's circuitry by folding over a portion of the flexible PCB on top of the battery to secure it between two conductive pads. This configuration eliminates the need for a battery holder, thereby reducing weight, cost, and thickness and enabling a label containing the electronics to be fed through a printer without damaging the circuit. The battery may be attached to conductive pads using a conductive adhesive such as a conductive tape, avoiding the use of rigid or brittle tabs or epoxies that may break under the stress of going through the printer. An illustrative configuration with the electronic components, the battery, the fold-over battery attachment, and a label front and liner backing may be less than 2100 micrometers thick.

RFID TAG

An RFID tag includes: a flexible, sheet-shaped substrate; an antenna pattern that is formed on the substrate; an IC chip that is mounted on the substrate and that is connected to the antenna pattern; an adhesive member that adheres the IC chip to the substrate; and a reinforcement member that covers the IC chip and the adhesive, and that is at a position such that a central portion of the reinforcement member is offset along a length direction of the substrate with respect to the IC chip and the adhesive member.

Papercraft digitization

A computer-implemented method for digitization of papercraft folding for creation of a papercraft model may include monitoring, via an RFID reader, a sheet provided with an array of RFID tags. Based on the RFID reader output, the occurrence of a fold performed on the sheet is determined. The method further includes determining fold properties of the occurred fold and storing the fold properties as a fold dataset of the occurred fold.

DUAL-ANTENNA, FOUR-ARMED IDENTIFICATION TAG

Consistent with disclosed embodiments, systems, methods, and computer readable media pertaining to a battery-less identification tag for embedding into products may be provided. Embodiments may include a flexible substrate; a first differential antenna on the flexible substrate, the first differential antenna including a first meandering arm and a second meandering arm, and the first differential antenna being of a first size; a second differential antenna on the flexible substrate, the second differential antenna including a third meandering arm and fourth meandering arm, and the second differential antenna being of a second size smaller than the first size; and at least one communications chip connected to the first differential antenna and the second differential antenna.

RFID TAG for Printed Fabric Label and Method of Making
20170344864 · 2017-11-30 ·

An RFID tag is disclosed that is formed as part of a printed fabric label (PFL). Generally, foil is adhered to a fabric material with a releasable adhesive, the foil is then cut, such as by a laser to define the antenna pattern and a removable portion. The removable portion is then manually stripped away, and a strap is then attached with adhesive to the antenna. A small square of hot melt over-laminate may be placed over the strap and bonded, and then a top layer of fabric is added and secured with an adhesive from a transfer tape.
