Calibration for Augmented Reality
20230072188 · 2023-03-09 ·

Technology is described to adjust for eye location variations of a user when using an augmented reality (AR) headset. The method can include registering a position and size of an optical code using a visual camera and the AR headset. An alignment marker may be projected through the AR headset to be aligned with the optical code for a right eye and left eye of a user of the AR headset. Right eye and left eye adjustments to the alignment marker may be received independently to align the alignment marker with a portion of the optical code as viewed by either the right eye or left eye of the user. The left eye adjustments and right eye adjustments may be applied to virtual images displayed through the AR headset in order to improve the accuracy of alignment between objects in the physical view and the virtual images displayed using the AR headset.

Embedded variable curved spiral patterns

In general, the subject matter described in this specification relates to security credentials for documents, such as identification documents. One example is an identification document that includes a photographic image of an individual associated with the document, and a spiral pattern applied to a region of the identification document. The spiral pattern includes an elliptical spiral segmented into a plurality of arc segments, where wherein the arc segments of the spiral pattern encode identification data associated with the individual. Other implementations include corresponding processes, systems, apparatus, and computer programs related to generating and verifying identification documents with spiral patterns.

Image and quick art response code system

Disclosed herein are methods of using an augmented reality trigger to locate and/or read a Data Code in an image. A method according to this disclosure may include the step of using an augmented reality trigger in an image to initiate an augmented reality experience, locating portions of Data Code arrange in a plurality of locations within the image, and combining each of the Data Code portions for processing as a unified Data Code. The augmented reality trigger may be stored in a data set including location information to locate each of the Data Code portions. The data set may include information to combine the plurality of Data Code portions.

A method to encode and decode a digital fingerprint code by an identification encoder and an identification decoder wherein the digital fingerprint code includes a plurality of N-bit data embedded on a set of curves by changed thicknesses in the curves.

SELECTIVELY OPTICALLY READABLE DATA CARRIER

The invention relates to a data carrier comprising a storage layer forming a plurality of first surface elements (6). The storage layer (2) has at least one optical characteristic, which is optically anisotropic and which varies spatially between the first surface elements (6). A cover layer (3) over the storage layer (2) forms a plurality of second surface elements (10), each acting as a polarisation filter for a predetermined polarisation direction. The predetermined polarisation direction varies between the second surface elements (10). The storage layer can contain in particular bacteriorhodop sin in the form of a purple membrane. The invention also relates to a method for the production and reading of a data carrier of this type.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF REFRIGERATOR CONTENT TRACKING
20170363348 · 2017-12-21 ·

A system and a method for tracking items stored in a refrigerator which includes the identifying unit comprising a few known devices such as bar code reader or voice command processor for identifying the incoming and outgoing items also including an olfactory sensor. Said sensor in addition to identification is to be used also for assessing the items' degree of freshness for the purpose of determination of its actual expected maximum storage time—this determination will be made by the computer processor accessing the pertinent database(s) while using the digital smell signature for said access, when necessary. Said database will contain the storage data for opened or unpacked or cooked items for which the storage time data on the package is not applicable as well as possibly the items ingredients and the nutritional content. The items actual shelf storage location will be determined by means of the miniature motion detectors in combination with the optical scanners located in each shelf compartment or by means of making the shelves and the horizontal surfaces of compartments electrostatically charged and detecting the capacitative change. On the way in or out the item will be identified and the content of the appropriate section on display will be updated.

Method for producing indicators and processing apparatus and system utilizing the indicators

The present invention discloses a method for producing graphical indicators and interactive systems for utilizing the graphical indicators. On the surface of an object, visually negligible graphical indicators are provided. The graphical indicators and main information, i.e. text or pictures, co-exist on the surface of object. The graphical indicators do not interfere with the main information when the perception of human eyes are concerned. With the graphical indicators, further information other than the main information on the surface of object are carried. In addition to the main information on the surface of object, one is able to obtain additional information through an auxiliary electronic device or trigger an interactive operation.
