Designated region projection printing of spatial pattern for 3D object on flat sheet in determined orientation
A system determines an object-design for a three-dimensional model of an object. The object-design may exhibit a design continuity. The system breaks the object-design in to spatial patterns corresponding to the discrete surfaces making up the outward surface of the object. The system then generates flattened patterns by projecting the spatial patterns into a two-dimensional plane. The system prints the flattened patterns on to designated regions of material sheets in an orientation that preserves the design continuity of the object-design. The regions may be extracted from the sheets and then joined at their edges to form a cover for object that exhibits the continuity of the object design.
Display device and printing apparatus
A display device, having a screen, a memory device storing a plurality of setup items, and a controller connected with the screen and the memory, is provided. Each of the setup items includes information concerning a setting for a character to be printed on a printable medium. The controller controls the screen to display the character to be printed; a plurality of icons, each of which identifies one of the setup items; and a setup window, in which a subject setup item and one of setting options for the subject setup item are displayed in association with a subject icon identifying the subject setup item among the plurality of icons being displayed. The controller accepts selection of one of the setting options for the subject setup item and designates the accepted one of the setting options to be the setting for the subject setup item.
PRINTER AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER-READABLE INSTRUCTIONS
A printer includes an input device for receiving an input operation to the printer from a user, a memory, a printing device, and a controller. The controller is configured to: receive print data from a terminal; in a case where the controller determines that the print data received from the terminal is raster data, determine whether a particular condition is met; in a case where the controller determines that the particular condition is met, send, to the terminal, request information that requests the terminal to send page description language (PDL) data; and, in a case where the controller receives the PDL data from the terminal after sending the request information to the terminal, allow the printing device to execute printing on a basis of the PDL data. The PDL data specifies types of drawing objects and drawing positions with commands.
RECORDING MEDIUM
The disclosure discloses a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a virtual label display process program for executing steps. The steps include a composite image generating step, a composite image output step, a determining step, and a notifying step. In the composite image generating step, a real image data of a desired field of view and a virtual image data of a label are combined. In the composite image output step, a composite image data is output to a display device, and a virtual image of the label on the display device is superimposed and displayed. In the determining step, it is determined whether a desired suitability is satisfied between an exterior appearance of a background object and an exterior appearance of the label based on the real image data and the virtual image data. In the notifying step, a predetermined suitability notification is made.
Printer, printing control method of printer, and recording medium
A printer includes: a print head that performs printing on a print medium of a conveyance object having the print medium and a member other than a print medium having mutually different colors or color brightness levels on regions on one side; a detector to detect a color or color brightness of the conveyance object at a detection position; and a processor. When there is a change in the color or color brightness as a first detection result as compared with the color or color brightness as a second detection, the processor updates a held value, and does not update the held value when there is no change. The processor determines whether there is a change in a detection value as compared with the updated held value or a previous held value not updated. When determining that there is no change, the processor stops printing.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRINTING CUSTOMIZED ITEMS
A printing system and method of printing are provided herein. The printing system may generate custom user designs for printing. The designs may be associated with a selected print medium. The print medium may have a particular layout. The printing system may convert the design for printing on other print media without requiring user alteration or input of the design. In another aspect, the printing system may facilitate printing the designs via local printers and/or via professional printers. Accordingly, printing of designs on different print-receptive media items can be accomplished.
Structurally encoded spinal implant device
A spinal implant device identifiable after implantation comprises an outer cage member and an implant body. The implant body is disposed between a first vertebra end and a second vertebra end of the outer cage and defines a plurality of planes. Each of the planes comprises separately readable indicia such that the indicia are discernible by at least one of x-ray, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, electromagnetic radiation, ultrasound, or magnetic resonance imaging.
Recording medium storing program for positioning a label using a virtual label and real-time image of a target field of view including a target object for affixing the label
AUTOMATED STORAGE UNIT PUBLISHER
An automated storage unit publishing system may include a recording device for recording information on a storage unit memory chip; a bin plate with a storage unit bin and a casing bin; an assembling mechanism movably attached to the bin plate, the assembling deck comprising a shuttle for removing a selected sized casing from the casing bin and a recorded flash memory chip from the chip bin and assembling the two into a single unit using pressure; a printing device for printing marks, indications or decoration on the casing, and a gripping device for placing the finished unit in an output mechanism.
ORIENTATION-AGNOSTIC METHOD TO INTERFACE TO XEROX PRINTED MEMORY LABEL
An electronic system for identifying an article can include a printed memory having a plurality of contact pads electrically coupled to a plurality of landing pads positioned on a first side of a printed circuit board (PCB) substrate. The plurality of landing pads can be electrically coupled to a plurality of endless, concentric contact lines positioned on a second side of the PCB substrate through a plurality of vias that extend through a thickness of the PCB substrate and a plurality of traces that electrically couple the plurality of vias with the plurality of landing pads. To perform a memory operation on the printed memory, contact probes of a reader are physically and electrically contacted with the plurality of concentric contact lines. In some implementations, the memory operation can be performed on the printed memory irrespective of a rotational orientation of the printed memory relative to the reader.
