CyberSecurity System Having Security Policy Visualization

A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for implementing a cybersecurity system having security policy visualization. At least one embodiment is directed to a computer-implemented method for implementing security policies in a secured network, including: retrieving a set of rules of a security policy; analyzing the set of rules of the security policy using one or more Satisfiability Modulo Theory (SMT) operations to reduce a dimensionality of the security policy; and generating a visual presentation on a user interface using results of the SMT operations, where the visual presentation includes visual indicia representing one or more targeted policy dimensions with respect to one or more fixed policy dimensions. In at least one embodiment, two or more security policies are presented with visual indicia representing differences between the security policies, including representations of one or more targeted policy dimensions with respect to one or more fixed policy dimensions.

ARCHITECTURE AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING INSIGHTS IN NETWORKS DOMAIN

The invention is ontology-based architecture for performing semantic data mining for insights. The major components of the architecture are illustrated using Network Ontology (NO), an ontology generated for the network domain for delivering improved network management. In addition, algorithms for summarizing performance profiles in the form of rank tables and for extracting insight rules (concrete action plan) from the rank tables are presented. By using this approach, an actionable plan for assisting decision maker can be obtained, as domain knowledge is incorporated in the system. Experimental results on a network dataset show that this model provides an optimal action plan for a network to improve its performance by encoding data-driven rules into the ontology and suggesting changes to its current network configuration.

Rule testing framework for executable rules of a service provider system

There are provided systems and methods for a rule testing framework for executable rules of a service provider system. During processing rule implementation and/or testing for rules currently implemented in production systems, different values for the variables and attributes of the rule may be required to be tested to ensure proper rule functioning. In order to test the rule, the expression of the rule is determined, and each variable is considered in turn. The expression is evaluated so that the selected variable becomes the output of the expression. Thus, the values of the other variables may then be determined so that the selected variable is the output of the expression. The rule may then be tested for positive and negative values of the selected variable so that the rules functioning for the selected variable is tested.

A method is provided for solving a computational problem that is reducible to a problem of counting solutions to an associated decision problem. The method includes, using a quantum computer, estimating a number of the solutions to the decision problem by determining if there is at least one solution to the decision problem that lies in a pseudo-random set. The method also includes outputting or using the estimated number of the solutions to the decision problem as a solution to the computational problem. Determining if there is at least one solution to the decision problem that lies in the pseudo-random set could include determining if there is a sequence of solutions to the decision problem that, taken together, lies in the pseudo-random set.

System, apparatus and method may permit users to collaboratively engage in inference on a computer and visualize structure of that inference, and provide a formal verification system for informal argumentation and inference. The system and method may generate and allow for modification of graphical structures that represent sequences of structured rational argumentation; and automatically monitor, compute and represent ratings or scores of nodes within the structure; indicate whether a node is supported by a chain of argumentation that has not been validly rebutted. The graphical structures may be displayed to bring into focus contentious and significant underlying points within an argument, and simulate the effects of alternative resolutions of these contentious points. The graphical displays may provide a transparent verification to other users of the state of what can be demonstrated and refuted, allow discovery of weak or missing points in a logical argument, and allow rational inference by users.

An information processing apparatus according to the present invention includes: an acceptance unit that accepts a process request to an operation system; a specifying unit that, based on the process request, specifies an operation task to be executed in the operation system; an extraction unit that performs text analysis on the process request and extracts an answer item corresponding to an input item required at execution of the operation task from the process request; and an execution unit that executes the operation task based on the answer item.

Model transfer learning across evolving processes

Systems, computer-implemented methods, and computer program products to facilitate model transfer learning across evolving processes are provided. According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a memory that stores computer executable components and a processor that executes the computer executable components stored in the memory. The computer executable components can comprise a condition definition component that defines one or more conditions associated with use of a model trained on first traces of a first process to make a prediction on one or more second traces of a second process. The computer executable components can further comprise a guardrail component that determines whether to use the model to make the prediction.
